Incredible service! I came in for a second opinion because a shop down the road seemed a bit sketchy…These guys were detailed and found the issue fast. I had my car back to me within a day! They also fixed my tire pressure too.

I had to come in three times since my car kept acting up.. and each time I left very satisfied with their efficient service! The whole team is super welcoming and attentive. 10/10 highly recommend.

Awesome experience going to Westside transmission and Automotive for my 2004 Mercedes Benz that needed a new battery. It was a quick, cheap and hassle free fix and they also checked my starter to see if it had any problems. Steven is the best!!! I highly recommend!

Took my 17 Tahoe in here for transmission issues, Steven diagnosed it the same day. It needs to be rebuilt but he will be working with my extended warranty company next week to help! Great service!

He is a direct and thoughtful communicator, honest in a way that is RARE these days, and genuinely just a nice guy. This is an incredible place. They have saved me so much money, and from thinking I had to get a new car twice! Several places told me my car needed all kinds of work that was going to thousands and thousands of dollars. Steven was honest and told me that it was needed. He could have just taken advantage of the situation but didn't. I highly recommend bringing your car here. He is also very kind and patient and so you feel comfortabke bringing your car here.

Westside Transmission clearly takes pride in their thorough inspections and high-quality repair. They stand 100% by their repair warranties, and they tackle complex jobs such as fixing coolant system leaks in my 2007 VW Jetta. No wonder they have so many repeat clients, myself included.

This shop is awesome. I have a ~20 year old WRX and the last place I took it to pretty much messed up everything. Steven and his crew undid/redid all that, did a great transmission rebuild, new clutch, coils to fix the perpetually engaging check engine light. But amazingly, they also were the only mechanic in the past 7 years who figured out (and fixed) a super-irritating whine, by recognizing it wasn't just the power steering pump (which kept getting replaced for naught) but the reservoir...no one else could figure that out). Additionally, the shop runs seamlessly, all is transparent, and if they say it's going to take a week (for example, to rebuild an old transmission), it will in all likelihood be ready in a week. For lesser repairs, the turnaround is very rapid. Westside gets my highly enthusiastic recommendation!!

I came today recommended by other mechanichs regarding a power train issue in my car. They were fast, effective, transparents and very helpful; a place you can trust. I have just spent 6 weeks in LA, relocated from EU and here I felt all was fair and well explained to me. So professionals and safe, I would recommend them to everyone.

The best transmission and clutch repair in LA! I came from Santa Monica to have the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder fixed on my 2010 Mazda 3, and they did a great job. My car drives like new. Thank you for your help!

The very best service in town. I've never had trouble taking my car in here same-day, and every time I've left with it fixed same-day. They don't try to sell you something you don't need (unlike other places!) and I really appreciate that and their dedication to client satisfaction. I didn't need a car living in Boston, so this is my first time owning a car in several years since moving to the LA area. I want to be sure I'm taking proper care of my GTI considering neglect on a car like that can get costly. Westside T&A have been attentive and delivered quality service in my opinion. I can go to some budget chain where I can be in and out of there in an hour for an oil change, but I'm comfortable leaving my car for the day knowing they're not rushing by taking the time to do the job thoroughly and address all my concerns. I included the maintenance package when purchasing my car, which of course covers the cheapest available generic parts, but the team here understands my desire to take care of my car through quality maintenance, so they work with me by getting the cost of the cheap parts covered and only charging me the difference in cost for the premium ones, which I really appreciate. They've earned my trust over the past few appointments which has earned them my loyalty by using them for my maintenance and repair needs.

My daughter was alone in LA with car trouble. Steven said she could come in right away. Steven went out of his way to make my daughter feel comfortable, even buying her lunch. The shop did an amazing, affordable job fixing her car. They are great mechanics but also great people.

Kind and knowledgeable technicians I was referred to them by another business and don't regret it at all. They resolved the issue I was having in no time at a fair price. On a rare older car that's hard to find certain parts for. They're extremely honest and offered to fix a minor problem I had for free unfortunately it was a little more complicating than that and I had to get a few parts. I'm very happy that my car got fixed and safe to drive again.

My car is a 2010 Expedition that is our life savor. To and from work, pick ups, drop offs, school, and our big baby. When we find out our car needed major work, I freaked out!!! I googled automotive repair place that would be close to work and Westside Transmission came up. Westside was so knowledgable and professional, the repairs were completed in a timely manner as promised, and they had an open communication with me throughout the repairs. Highly recommended, especially coming from someone whose family is totally depended on their car.

I had this company rebuild my transmission and torque converter in July 0f 2014 on my 1993 G-30 Chevrolet van. It cost me over $2,900 and was given a 24 month or 24K warranty (which ever came first) for the work. I live out of state and travel frequently out of state in the van and had only used it sparingly while storing it for several months of the year in a covered storage facility. I had only 10,400 miles on the van when the van's transmission failed again. I was asked by Westside Transmission to have the van towed to them to verify that the transmission was faulty. Unfortunately I was unable to have it towed 150 miles back to them from outside the Bakersfield, CA area since the cost of this would have been excessive. I had it towed to Tehachapi Transmission shop in Tehachapi, CA for an estimate where they discovered the work Westside Transmission's rebuild was poorly done and in fact two bolts within the transmission were not torqued down and came loose causing extensive internal damage due to blocking the flow of transmission fluid and overheating to the transmission. I offered Westside Transmission photos and to discuss the matter with the other Tehachapi Transmission mechanic who assessed the damage but they declined. Westside Transmission offered to rebuild my van's transmission again for $2,700 by discounting it $200 for me. I opted not to since it was their negligence that caused it to break down again with so little miles since they rebuilt it. I asked them to reconsider a larger discount since it had only 10,400 miles since they rebuilt it but they declined citing the warranty had expired. I would recommend anyone needing rebuilt transmission work to use another company or a nationwide service vendor since Westside Transmission will not honor their faulty work even though I told them originally I was moving the work van across the country to Florida and if I experienced a problem I would be able to get it repaired during the warranty in another state. They told me, yes they would honor their work outside the area by a certified transmission mechanic. Obviously they were not willing to do this by insisting to have it towed to them and not giving more than a $200 discount for their work that should have been done right the first time.
