This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on the latest reviews, Victory Auto Service in East Los Angeles, CA earns an exceptional 98/100. Customers praise professional, trustworthy techs (Ming is often mentioned), honest pricing with no upsells, and quick diagnostics/repairs—often same day. Service is friendly and communicative, and they beat dealership quotes. Minor drawbacks: occasional language barrier and busy periods that may extend waits, though most note a fast turnaround. Reviews don’t address inventory variety, yard organization, or parts browsing, so those are unclear. Overall, standout customer service and value.
I had 2 good experiences with him finding and fixing problems quickly and cheaply (one on a Dodge one on a Chevy), he did better than my previous mechanic.
Have been taking my car there for years. Great customer service and knowledgeable technicians. Ming always solves my problems effectively and without breaking the bank. This shop is a great service to the community.
These guys are honest, affordable, and can usually fit me in their schedule. They will not try to upcharge you, or convince you that you need to repair things that you don’t. Really good people.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Victory Auto Service. Ming is the shop manager/mechanic you wish you had. The bar is high. Honest, friendly and the prices are fair. I always come away grateful he is my go to guy.
Took my Prius in for a diagnostics on the abs system that had failed on me. Tried to diagnosing the problem myself and spent hours looking up online what the codes on my scanner meant. A lot of people mentioning parts that cost up to $900. I do a good amount of repairs myself, but this one was just confusing to me, so I said let me look for a local mechanic. Found one 5 min from me, called and asked if I could bring the car in. He said yes. I was in and out in 45 min! Extremely honest and incredible price! I am bringing every mechanical problem that arise on all my cars to them! Even the problems I know how to fix myself to help free up time for myself and help a local business out
Best auto repair shop in SoCal! Fair price, great service. Our family has been going there for 30 years. The relatively new shop manager, Ming, is fantastic.
Don’t think I’ll ever go to another mechanic. Appreciate you, Ming! Keeps it real always.
New starter, new battery. My baby is driving like a champ again.
Absolutely incredible mechanic, Ming fixed more on my truck than I requested and didn’t charge anything extra. This is the kind of mechanic to build a relationship with, he knows his craft and desires to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive. He even jumped in the back of my truck to change my brake light that he noticed right before I drove off. 10/10 recommend!!
Excellent service at body shop and mechanic. The mechanic is an honest, reasonable business owner. I always feel like mechanics are trying to rip me off and Victory (mechanic) never feels like that. Not sure what magic he possesses but it’s real! Been going here for years and look forward to continuing to do so.
Very honest and fair prices. He worked on my car and did a great job. Didn't overcharge me like other shops do. I would really recommend this shop. All his work is by the book. Awesome customer service! I'm definitely going back. Thank you for your services! I appreciate all your work !
Have been going for years and these guys have saved my Thousands!! Dodge Dealership wanted to charge $4,000+ for seat belt replacement, oxygen sensor, signal repair and vapor leak. Victory replaced all with original parts...$1875 including labor. Ask for Ming!
The guy here is really honest and nice in my opinion. I brought him my bucket car I had bought on offer up and he checked it out very quickly and even referred me to a friend of his for auto parts.
They did what I needed on the car, just as I asked and were very cheap. Sure there's a bit of a language barrier, but they are dependable and trustworthy. I used to take my car here as a teen and I still come to them when I'm hoping to avoid over priced dealership costs for small repairs and maintenance.
I went to my Honda dealership for maintenance before a road trip back to the east coast and found out there was a whole list of repairs and maintenance I was due for. I was on a budget so I went to Victory Auto and they were able to make the repairs for less than half the cost of what the dealership estimated. Car drives better than it has in while. Highly recommend for fast, afforadble, trustworthy service.
I was in a jam as I was on my long journey home to Sac when my alternator bolt broke off leaving a piece inside the engine block. Spoke to Ming of Victory Auto Sales who said he could fit me in and get me back on the road. 2.5 hours later my alternator was rebolted back on my engine block and my wife and I breathed a sign of relief as we could now make it home after a long weekend. Can't thank Ming enough!!!
The best place ever they are fast, low prices, very detailed in explaining the issue of the car, good people in general. They do get very busy but that just means they are good auto serivce.
I finally Found a honest Service Mechanic shop
