I have two separate experiences with Young’s Auto Repair that were very positive and for so long I drive in Los Angeles I will go to him and recommend Young’s Auto Repair for fixing and what not.
Experience one: my car had a service error that said that gas fumes were leaking from my gas tank. A smog issue. I had initially went to a different auto repair that with their smog diagnostic tool said they’d need my car for over night and it would cost 200+ but they didn’t have space and to come back.
I went to Young’s Auto Repair where John assessed the situation and said I need not any sort of fixing and that the smog issue was most likely from not screwing on my gas cap on tight enough. This was all within five minutes. Although the other mechanic may have come to this conclusion upon further examination, his failure to do so initially makes him inferior to Young’s Auto Repair.
The second is more recent. My splash guard was bent and scratching the floor when I was braking. I initially just wanted to get that clipped back onto my car but John said I needed to also replace my brakes and rotors (I haven’t touched my brakes in 100k miles ?) so I knew there was no upselling involved. He did all three services in a professional and timely manner and I was able to go to work after. He also recommended I order my own parts for some other issues I had and to come back in to get them fixed.
Overall each experience I have had has been very positive and has someone who is not car experienced it’s a relief to go somewhere where I am not getting scammed. There is integrity I can sense in John.
I’ve been using this shop for three years, and every visit has been great. They’re always kind and only fix what actually needs to be fixed. honest service.
Young’s Auto Center – 2230 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles
I came here for an oil change and an oil leak repair, and paid $330 for the service. A few days later, I went back for them to check it again to make sure there was no more leak.
When I arrived at 3 PM, Young told me he didn’t have space to lift my car and asked me to return at 4 PM. I came back just after 4, but he was still busy. After waiting about 15 minutes, I saw him take out a car — then immediately pull in two new customers for oil changes, leaving me waiting again. When I asked why those cars were being taken in before me, even though I’d been there first, he admitted it was his mistake and apologized.
When they finally checked my car, he apologized again but said, “I’m going to be honest with you — this is a business and I need to make money.” I was shocked to hear that. I told him that after already paying for their service, I couldn’t believe he would say something like that.
This experience was very unprofessional and disappointing. Instead of valuing a returning customer, he prioritized quick new jobs. It’s unbelievable that a business would treat loyal customers this way. Be careful if you go here — it seems they care more about quick profits than customer satisfaction.
If I could give this place 0 start I would do it.
John is a funny man but efficient guy, his team works quick and is able to get things done within minutes. Oil change, car service, what have you come to this guy’s shop. Price is pretty fair as well!
Came in for a broken ac. They were able to diagnose the problems and were clear with their instructions and pricing. Their pricing is very fair and competitive compared to all the other auto shops I called.
I’d like to show my appreciation for this business because they have been the most honest, helpful and trustworthy mechanics I have worked with. I come in all the time for a smog check but this time. It was for my AC unit.
They found the issue, fixed it and when there was an issue again (being my fault) they fixed it again and found a solution so it doesn’t happen again.
My appreciation for this business comes from them giving me the opportunity to save me the most money I can. Where other mechanics will overcharge and bill you for every little thing when something’s were unnecessary.
They have gained a customer for life and any person that asks for a trustworthy mechanic young’s will definitely be recommended.

Not long ago, I had an issue that other repair shops couldn’t fix, and I was worried about it. But here, they identified and fixed the problem right away, and I’ve been driving smoothly ever since. My mother’s car is a 2005 E500, an older vehicle, so I expect small issues to come up from time to time. Still, I feel confident that as long as I bring it to this shop, everything will be fine. I would recommend them to many others as well.
Everyone at the shop was professional and helpful. Came in for transmission fluid change and they even helped me replace the engine skirt with a part I already had. Will be back!

Really great experience with John and Ronny, both very nice and smart guys at what they do. Had my Honda fixed up and running very quickly, little turn around time. Also very very well price! Will definitely be returning to them for future work to be done on my family’s cars.

One of the most skillful, fairest, and generous mechanics in all of LA! I first went to them to help with a slightly complex A/C repair another shop had only complicated, and they were able to patiently diagnose the problem and fix it quickly, whereas the other shop gave up after one attempt.
They have since helped me with a variety of strange problems, always making time for them, explaining the issue and their solve, and getting me on my way.
I can't recommend them enough!
I had an oil leak, and they resolved within the day. fair price, good communication throughout the day, and overall nice service. my roommate also had a good experience at young’s auto center.
My new favorite car shop to go to. The owner communicates estimates clearly, prices repairs very fairly, and provides timely and expert service. This is a great family owned shop and I’d love to see their business stick around. I can’t recommend Young’s enough.
I've been going to Young's body shop for a year for inspections, oil changes, and repairs. The owner is always friendly and explains everything clearly. They help me with necessary repairs and stick to the promised repair times. Highly recommend this shop!
Young Auto is terrific. Fixed my spark plugs and A/C. They clearly highlight their prices showing you the cost of the item they need to get + the hourly cost they charge. They gave me their phone number and were always available! Beyond that they are super matter of fact and HONEST. It can be super nerve racking trying to find a car repair shop as an out of state student but BEYOND grateful I found them.
I could not recommend Young’s for your smog test more! Arman made the process super easy, super fast, and super friendly. I have a gas guzzler 6600lbs so it was $60 tax incl. everything less than this truck weight was $50

Honest, reasonable, and fast. They even recommended a service that I could take care of myself. I feel like I've found my go-to mechanic, which is a great feeling. Highly recommend.

Prices were very reasonable, they were clear about cost estimates, and gave an honest breakdown of what needed to get done. Things were done in a reasonable time frame.
They were very pleasant and helpful over the phone as well.
Been bringing my Lexus hybrid wagon here for over 7 years, and Mr Young has been such a blessing! The whole team is honest, reasonable and super efficient! No long waits, no run-around! Just incredible service!!!
I got a smog check at the smog center next door. Was quick and easy. Went to the auto center right after to get an oil change at 2pm. Was told all of their guys were on lunch until 3pm. Maybe I should’ve called ahead of time but kind of ridiculous for a business to have all employees go on lunch at the same time, let alone at 2pm. I didn’t really
believe them because I didn’t see anyone in the auto center when I was getting my smog check at 1:30. I don’t want to leave a worse rating because I know it’s a family business and I really wanted to do it there. So maybe next time it’ll work out.
I went here to fix my bearing wheel, and the owner was very nice and straight forward. He gave me a price prior to fixing the car; it’s definitely cheaper than some others around the area. He was very honest about everything and very responsive.
