Updated Review 3/26/25: Big thank you to Eric for keeping his word that if I ever needed to have my cat shield removed (needed smog testing this year), I could always give him a call and stop by at no charge. If anyone needs a cat shield installed, you cannot go wrong with Monkey. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two years ago, I bought a shield and had this shop install it. The install went smooth and the owner, Yvette, gave me a discount as well. Before leaving, she told me that if at any time I needed to have my shield removed for whatever reason, that I could stop by the shop and she will do it at no charge. Fast forward to today 5/5 - went to get my smog test done only to be told that I needed to remove my shield first. I panic a bit, but thankfully I kept the receipt from this shop. Gave them a call, spoke to Eric who told me to stop by. And true to Yvette's word from back then, the shop removed my shield, was able to pass my smog test, then came back and had them put the shield back on at no charge. Highly recommend this shop if you need a shield installed, having the peace of mind knowing that you'll be taken care of when you're in a situation like mine. Thank you Eric and Yvette!!!!

Thank you to everyone who helped me today 🙏🏻 I called this morning because I had my catalytic converter stolen, everyone I spoke to was so friendly and so helpful. I brought my car in after work around 3p and my car was ready to go before 5p!!! What a blessing thank you so much for helping me!

Catalytic converter stolen. Erick saved me in a pinch! He had the parts ordered and the car done in 2-3 days. Amazing price for high-quality work. Recommended to me by Pep Boys who noticed my muffler was lose. I know nothing about cars so I'm always afraid of being ripped off but Eric was so friendly, helpful, explained exactly what the issue was to me, and fixed it right there and then! I drove over from WeHo to use them, and was so glad I did - could not recommend this place more to anyone!

I cannot express enough my gratitude and appreciation for Eric and everyone at Monkey’s. My catalytic converter was stolen in front of my house a couple weeks ago and I was truly distraught. Without getting into it, I’ve had a lot of personal things surrounding my car and finances happen in the past couple years and I couldn’t believe something else was happening to me AGAIN. The dealership said my part was on back order until July and I was hearing that from so many people. I didn’t know what to do, my car is my livelihood, I work too far away to go without one and I can’t afford a rental for that long. Eric was so nice, understanding, and helpful. He was able to find the part for me and my car was repaired within a week. He also gave me a recommendation for a place I could get a shield put on. Thank you thank you thank you!

Simply the best customer service I can imagine! I was one of the unlucky many who had their catalytic converter stolen and reached out to a couple of places my insurance recommended. After hearing about impossibly long delays and shops that couldn't do it Monkey's Mufflers was recommended and EVERYONE should go here if they have any muffler, exhaust, or catalytic issues. I spoke with Anna on the phone who could not have been nicer and more supportive. She said this could be taken care of that that they would communicate with insurance and do it all the time. I later spoke with Eric, one of the co-owners for the first of several calls over a two days who just took care of everything. He was so supportive, appreciative, communicative and kind through every step of the process. And the end result was a replacement catalytic converter was installed for less cost than I anticipated in only 2 days (I was initially given an estimate of 2-4 months by other repair shops!). They followed through with insurance, had the necessary parts, even made an additional fix because of old parts making noise at no extra cost. I cannot recommend them more strongly. Five star work all around!

If you're the unfortunate victim of getting your catalytic converter stolen by scumbags, then you will absolutely find redemption at Monkey's. The owner, Eric, gave me a great price and was super fast about getting the work done. Also, I noticed my car had a flat tire when they were taking it off the lift and Eric graciously covered the cost of a patch. This is an excellent business and I'll sending anyone with muffler/catalytic needs his way. One last note to any other mechanic shops in the area... take a note - having good phone skills is important. Please don't sound upset when customers call asking for a general quote. Eric and his team were the only company of 5 or 6 I called in the area that sounded like they cared I called. They won my business, just for that.

This place worked an absolute miracle on my car! I had an obvious exhaust leak and Christian and the crew spent time to carefully figure out where the leak was. Instead of telling me to just buy a new converter and manifold, they were able to weld it all for a great value! Will definitely be back for any exhaust needs. Definitely recommend this family run shop. 👍

You know when you need to go to take your car for repairs means a lot of stress. I drove 45 min to get to his shop because someone suggested my husband. And I am totally glad that I went there. Eric was super polite. He has a warm heart and cares about his clients. He understood all the situations and headaches we had to go though with an insurance company and helped us with the process. His work was prompt and perfect. Super professional. My car runs so smoothly now💕

AMAZING SERVICE!! Had my car in another shop for 3 months looking for a part. Got it switched over to monkeys and they had my car back to me in three days. Could not be happier. The go to place if your catalytic converter gets stolen!

After calling my Toyota Dealer and being told that they had 90 catalytic converters on back order, Monkey's Muffler's were able to help me in a matter of days! Eric kept me informed throughout the repair process, and they made the entire process trouble free. I'd definitely use them again.

Monkey's is amazing! My car had four broken windows and a stolen catalytic converter. The dealership said I'd have to wait a year, minimum, to get the repair done. Eric at Monkey's, however, worked with me and my insurance closely to get my repairs done in under two weeks, all damage taken care of by him and his folks. Eric treated us like we were family the entire time, walking me through the process and keeping in constant contact with me as we sorted everything out. I am absolutely going to go hear again for as much of my future service as he can handle!

I've never dealt with a garage this kind, straight-forward, and honest. Eric helped me through the whole process, was upfront and transparent about everything and even went out of his way to drop my car off at my work because I get off after they close. Truly a pleasure and cannot recommend them enough!

Better Professional and prompt. They had like 4 cars ahead of me on weekday and still took care of my 18 Challenger. Took them about 15 mins. Its a mommy pop shop the owner told me Tech is a very skilled welder and she was not lying. So far so good its been 1 year

This is where you go if you need a welding job for your car. Eric is great! Walks you through the entire process of what the job entails and the pricing method so that you’re not confused about what you’re paying for, and will happily answer your questions! Extremely helpful! And talk about a deal! Seriously. Someone tried to snag my catalytic converter, so I took it to Monkey’s and they welded it up good for me. Works like a charm. And when I talk about a deal, I mean I thought I got a deal last time (because this is the second time someone tried to steal my converter). Monkey’s did three times the repair work for a lower price.Thanks so much!

First off I don’t usually take the time to write reviews. But I was blown away by the professionalism and swiftness from Eric and the team. I had a emissions issue with my vehicle and they were able to Saul my issues and concerns at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be recommending them to all my friends family and peers.

It is my first time to bring my m35 to Monkey Muffler here in Virgil Ave Los Angeles to have a exhaust modification in my infinity. I was really skeptical but after talking to Gustavo, i knew that Gustavo can do it. I was right. I am a very satisfied . Check the place out. The proprietor, a feisty lady named Anna is likewise very nice.

Called to inquire about a catalytic converter replacement for my 08 Prius. They were upfront about how much it would cost and provided an itemized list. I got it fixed in about 2 hrs .They sent me photos of their work. Absolutely fantastic customer service.

I got my catalytic converter stolen during the holidays, just before I was set to move. Christian and the whole Monkey’s team were compassionate and offered me a lot of options for getting back on the road quickly and affordably. Their work is fantastic, they are kind and accommodating, and I will return!

This place really blew me away with some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! As someone with a pretty non-existent knowledge of cars it’s easy to be taken advantage of. With Yvette and Chris I felt like I was in great hands ever step of the way. They were so warm and friendly, explained everything to me in easy to understand terms, gave me a a variety of options and only recommending what was needed. Chris did excellent work and when I needed a few changes he was beyond accommodating. I cannot recommend them more highly. If anything I just wish they were able to meet all mechanical needs as I don’t want to go to anyone else!

This is literally the first review I've ever made, but feel like its worth it to save anyone else in my position the time and headache. I don't understand what all the good reviews are about. I needed a very simple weld on my muffler. Raw & clean cut pipe to Raw & clean cut pipe. I called and Evette started off very friendly and seemed to be helpful. That was on a Monday. Once I tried to call back to finalize the details, it was sent to voicemail for 3 days straight. So, on Thursday I decided to walk down to the shop and show the mechanic/welder what I needed with a very precise video, and he said no problem and quoted me $200. I paid to have my car towed down to the shop and as soon as I got there and my car was on the lift, they immediately said $400. The price doubled. I got baited after towing my car down there. They probably thought that because I was towing it down, I wouldn't leave after the 100% increase in the price. NOPE, nice try!! Onto the next shop. Extremely unprofessional. I can't speak on their work, I'm sure they do a fine job, but just watch out for the shady shady business practices.

My vehicle was in need of a new catalytic converter as it was failing the smog test for high HC and CO levels. I called around and got a few quotes, in which Monkey's Muffler was quite competitive in price. After reviewing the experiences listed in Google, I decided to use their services. Firstly, Juan was very prompt in my inquiry for a quote. He followed up with everything I requested of him in a very timely manner. So I showed up, and the technician was able to remove and install the new cat in less than 20 minutes. After the cat was installed, my somewhat vintage car was able to pass the smog test with extremely low readings all across the board. The cat they used was a Magnaflow certified CARB, and seemed very good in quality. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to replace their catalytic converter. Please note this is a mom and pop shop, and I believe it is very important to help the small businesses during this pandemic.

I had been around to find good muffler shop to have my Borla cat back installed on my new accord 2.0t. This place was the best. They are very hard working gentlemen. They were quick, attention to detail, and I love how my car sounds. Highly recommended.

Awesome place, I've taken 4 of my cars here to take out the resonator or done the mufflers and am very happy with the results, just recommended a friend here 2 months ago who was really happy after taking off the mufflers on his charger at a good price. Everyone here is very friendly and they even offers me to stay in their car when it started raining. love this place. Am for sure coming back to this shop again!
