Chris is the car whisperer. Dealership did a diagnostic and said what needed to be fixed was not covered under warranty and would cost almost 10k! Chris figured out what was making the noise and fixed it for 700 bucks. Now we don't have to buy a new/used car bc Chris is THE BEST. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

CHRIS is the man! I live right around the corner from him, so I'm always bugging him about car related things, unrelated to fixing my 2013 Subaru Forrester (which always has something going on). He did my Smog Check super fast, and a great price ! He also helped my rattling heat shield for $60, when the dealer quoted $3,000 to replace the whole thing. Honesty, trustworthy and super great.

This is one of the best mechanic shops I have ever been to. Scheduled a time to bring my car in, and they were ready to help me when I arrived. The pricing was fair. My issues were taken care of, and I was given a rundown of what it took to fix the vehicle. Great service, great people. Would come again, and absolutely recommend this shop to anyone in town that needs a servicing.

Chris is great! Helped replace my brakes in a couple of hours for a great price. Definitely my new go to in the neighborhood.

Chris was helpful, kind, quick, and courteous. He went above and beyond helping me fix my bumper. He also popped out a few dents and buffed some scratches for me. His pricing was so good that when he told me the final cost, I thought he'd made a mistake and was undercharging me. I will definitely bring my car back in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about Chris and his team. My wife and I have been taking our cars here for over four years. He is knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and has reasonable prices. When my wife’s catalytic converter was stolen he helped us fight back against the insurance that tried to scrap her car. He then got us a much better deal on the replacement than anything else we could find. The mechanics here take pride in their work. They care about providing you with the best service and don’t gouge you. Every business owner should run their business like Chris.

My tires were low and the gas station machine wasn't doing the job. Chris got me to the right PSI, noticed that one of my tires had been plugged, and told me so I could keep an eye on it. I've been looking for a good shop and I think I've finally found one.

Awesome guy, a while back I went to him for a smog check for my vehicle for a title transfer. Literally saved me money by saying I didn't need it due to a loophole (and was completely right). The guys here really are on your side with your car maintenance.

I was just here a few days ago, I had to get a smog check so I called Chris' to see if they were available for one. He was so nice and told me to just pop in - I got there and was immediately greeted! Chris got me a chair and went on to do my smog in no time. It was such a lovely experience and that's not always the case when you're going to a new place. Very grateful I found this spot!

I was referred to Chris by a good friend of mine. Another mechanic and told me I needed to replace this and that, but Chris helped checked out my car and gave me honest feedback on what services I actually needed, saving me a lot of money. Great friendly service, I will definitely be back!

If you need any repairs/work done on your car, and you live in LA (especially if you're local to Highland Park) this is the place to go. I've been going here for more than a year now, and can attest that Chris and his team truly go out of their way to take care of you. Very mom/pop shop type of business, and honest/quick service--seriously the best case scenario for an auto shop. Honestly can't recommend this place more...

Very fast and friendly. My car had been making a rattling noise and Chris easily diagnosed it and fixed it right away. I drove away an hour and a half later with a quiet car.

Just moved to town and nothing makes me miss NY more than a bad auto service experience like I had at another shop down Fig. I won't name who. Chris has a great team working here! Everyone is very friendly and works fast (unlike some of the other shops around here). Great experience and will be my mechanic from now on!

I just moved to LA couple months ago and I was looking for a place to get my oil changed and a SMOG test. And this place was right by my barber school. This place is awesome because Chris made me feel like at home and we talked for awhile and then the car was done! He was quick, friendly, and welcoming. He also gave me some information about my car, which I think was helpful. And they were super busy with other cars but they got it done pretty fast! I highly recommend this place!

Chris is fantastic. My daughter just moved to LA and I helped her find an auto repair place in her neighborhood. After doing research we decided to try Chris's Auto. My daughter's Ford Explorer with 140,000 miles needed some major repair work. Chris gave us a detailed and accurate estimate explaining everything before he started work. He stayed in touch with us every step of the way. The repairs were completed on time and within the exact price Chris promised. In fact, Chris took time to save us money during the process. The car is running perfectly. This place is really outstanding, completely trustworthy!

I took my 11 year old Honda CRV to Chris’ Auto shop for a routine check-up (with an extensive list of repairs and replacements that needed to be completed). I was extremely impressed with the thorough job – starting from Chris (the owner)’s knowledge of car parts and mechanics, to his dedication to providing customer service that would outperform any auto shops I had previously visited. Chris asked me for a quick history of how my car had been performing, and gave me his honest feedback – recommending that I could actually leave out certain checkpoints on my replace/repair list that would just end up being unnecessary money spent. Upon returning to the auto shop to pick up my CRV, my first impression was to be surprised – my car was returned to me washed (tires and all!). Chris consulted with me, taking me to look over the engine, the replaced parts, etc. (which had also been washed!) – and looked completely new and unrecognizable - my daughter mistakenly thought the engine was completely new instead of repaired! Chris also noted every detail of what he had repaired or replaced for the car, took me into the office to show me, explained to me where each service was listed on the receipt – and to top it all off, gave all this at a competitively low price – much lower than any other auto shop I have been to. He even had all the old parts in a box, explaining that he gives his customers all the old parts back so they know exactly what repairs/replacements/fixings he had done to their cars. He said I should be able to drive my car for another 10 years. I truly applaud Chris and his auto shop for the professionalism, the exceptional job they do for all their customers, their trustworthiness, and the excellent customer service they provide to all their customers. I highly recommend Chris’ Auto Shop to friends, family, and others and will definitely be returning myself.

The service was very friendly and helpful. They talked things over with me on what was going on with my car and what needed fixed. I didn't feel like I was being tricked or lied to. They broke down the expenses by priority so I don't have to get everything done at once. They were very reassuring about the health of my car which put me at ease. These guys are great and I recommend going to them if you have any car problems.
