Came in thinking I’d be dropping $$$ to fix what I thought was a serious brake or engine issue, turns out it was nothing major. They checked everything out for just $30! Super professional - not tryna upsell or rip you off.
The guys always come in clutch. I've been coming to them for years now, and they always come through with everything while keeping it simple and to the point. I've gone to several other mechanics that always give me some side quest and rigamarol, but they always have the answers. And its not one of those things where they give you a quick fix. Then you're set back a couple months later, cause they didn't fix the main issue, just a band-aid. It's the right fix every time from my experience. Love the owner as well. Kind man.

I've been to many oil change stations, but Vermont Auto Center stands out from the rest. Their team is incredibly skilled and experienced, and they took great care of my vehicle. They used high-quality oil and filters, and I felt confident that my engine was in good hands. Plus, the waiting area was clean and comfortable. This is now my go-to place for oil changes.
I called on the phone on a Thursday about my AC blowing hot air. Multiple mechanics told me it’s the compressor. Young agreed that it’s the compressor and told me he could get to it on Monday. Mind you this is during a nasty heat wave. He gave me a good price so I decided to wait the 4 days. I called him on Friday to confirm I’d bring the car on Monday, and he said actually he’s busy on Monday, could I bring it on Tuesday? Okay, no problem. I switched my WFH day to Tuesday to accommodate. Tuesday morning at 8:30 I show up with my car. Young tells me he never ordered the part and now he can’t get it today and oh by the way, the cost will be $600 more than he quoted me. Now I’ve lost my WFH day and my AC is still blowing hot air in a heat wave. He straight up told me he forgot about me. Not sure why this also means the price needed to increase so much. I see this is not the only review that states this place raises the price when you walk in. Now I’m back to square one. Go somewhere else.

Been going to BMW dealer for most of my maintenance. Now that my warranty is over, started looking for a auto center for an affordable engine oil change. Vermont Auto Center was not only $70 cheaper than the dealer auto shop, they took less than 45min. With the dealer it usually takes 3-5 hours and you have to make a reservation.

There's no better place I could have taken my car to be serviced. Even as a walk-in, I was seen in under half an hour and my car was finished just as fast. The price was incredibly reasonable, and the garage owner was professional and engaging. I won't take my car anywhere else at this point.
So I have been coming to see Mr Kim about 3 different cars (a Volvo, and two Hyundai) since 2008. I now live in Malibu. That sorta says it all. Honest, fair priced, and owned by a good person...which I have seen every time I see how he interacts with me, and other customers. The best.
Had a great experience here! Came in for an oil change as a walk-in on a Wednesday afternoon and was serviced almost immediately, and only waited 20-30 min. for the oil change itself. The mechanic was nice and did not try to upsell any services, but did let me know that I'd need to change my brakes soon. After the oil change was done and I left I noticed they had also filled up my tires with air (the tire pressure light that was on in my car had turned off). Thank you!
Mr. Young is my go to mechanic. I've been going here for about 2 years for oil changes and other car issues. Honest, fair prices and will never try to upsell you.
I called to see if they work on VW Beetles and the guy asked me what type of work the car needed, I told him the check engine light was on and that it probably needed a tune-up. The guy then tells me over the phone that it will be $100-$200 just to put the car on a diagnostic machine, but previously he told me it’d be $100-$300 just to check my car. Don’t trust this place because they’re rip offs and they overprice people.
I wish I knew about this shop from the beginning. Takes em 20 minutes to do an oil change. Other places I go to. 1 hour minimum. Good pricing and good quality supplies.

Amazingly professional and honest service. I came here after getting the run around - and the bill to match - at a nearby shop. Mr. Young Kim and his team found my car's problem right away and fixed in an expedient fashion at a fair price. I've been coming here ever since.
But what really sealed the deal was when Mr. Kim refused to do service on my ancient car. He told me my laundry list of a request would cost $2000. He said he would only complete that tasks that would keep me safe and street legal. "Stop putting money in that car. Go get a new one," he scolded me. :D

This establishment is the best! The owner and his staff are the only ones I trust with my car. He is very professional, offers HONEST advice, provides great service with resonable prices. I'm new to LA and I will continue to go here because it's made my life so much easier driving a 11 year old car.
Mr Yong offered to ride in the car with me to diagnose a problem. He was able to determine the source of the strange noise I was hearing within about 45 seconds - I had just had my motor mounts replaced by a different shop and one of them was not done correctly. He pointed out the problem to me and his team fixed it AND tightened down a few other things, all for only $40 and in about 10/15 minutes. Honest, competent, and a good value! I recommended this place to all my friends!
I've seen the reviews on Google and I agree with them. The owner Mr Young is a very honest and reliable man. He will never ask you to repair anything that you don't really need, and his price is always fair. I know nothing about cars, and I've made this clear to him. The university tire asked me to replace a lot of things and the quote was over 1,000. He said most of them aren't needed, and my SRS light problem can be solved at dealer because it's lifetime warranty, which saved me over 200 dollars. Finally I spent 50 dollars, replaced oil(30) and two wipers(20).
