Great trails and beautiful views! I loved the signs and through the trail with fun facts about the property. Can’t wait to go back when the weather warms up!

Beautiful trails have been made confusing by all the Mountain biking loops.

Great park! My husband and I have been here to bike, walk, and take pictures. The trails are clean and the views are stunning. Lots of room for people to pass by on paths. The field areas and hilly trails are absolutely delightful. The bathrooms are well kept👍🏼 Go visit!!!

This place is beautiful. I may have gotten stung by a yellow jacket but that doesn't stop the beauty of this park.

Enjoyed a lovely hike once we got to the inner loop with packed dirt trails, passing a few mountain bikers and a few other hikers on a sunny 78° Saturday.

Great walking spot, good hiking spot. If you come here, pee before. It’s a bathroom. No mirror, two stalls, but soap, working sink and toilet, and toilet paper so like you don’t really need more than that for a bathroom, right? The walk itself was honestly super peaceful and nice. There’s a paved path, and then wonderful little off paths that are more hike-y. I saw a deer once, and I lowkey got scared because it had no fear. Why should I fear the fearless? It was quite a strange awakening, almost spiritual. The trees here are so loving and strong. There’s a pond somewhere, I found it once and it was swampy and nice. My dog liked it here, and he got super muddy. I’m glad he did. He should have the agency to be free in nature. Also, I know you’re not supposed to, but on the off-paths I did take him off leash because he’s chill like that. On the paved path, I kept him on the leash. There are garbage pails on the paved path, sporadic and maybe every mile or so. Great if you brought a Dunkin with you and need to throw it out. Super clean, super good vibes, lots of parking, saw a bike pump, water fountain, etc etc. Nice overlook right at the start of the Mississippi river, too. Definitely coming back.

Paved and unpaved hiking/walking trails make for a lot of variety out here. Well maintained. The cave is closed off, but you can still walk up to the entrance and look in it. The spring water is nice and cold

Paved hiking roads are easy to walk on. Late Spring early Summer is the best for fresh green. 🌳🍃

Great place to spend some quality time outdoors. Lovely hiking trails, paved or through the woods whichever you prefer. Plenty of parking at the bottom, just have to deal with a fairly active railroad crossing if you wanna walk up. Good views of the river and a very well-kept and clean park.

Park is nice with paved trails for walking and hiking, I did not spend a lot of time there during to time limitations but I would say it was nice clean. I prefer more nature walks in general, parking lots were limited

Walk here pretty frequently. Nice paths.. Asphalt and dirt. Marked points of interest with some historical background. Great place for scouts or casual adventures.

Large park in South County that has great views of the Mississippi River. There are 2 parts to the park: an upper part connected to the Meramac Greenway and the lower part, which is the main part of the park. When you travel down Cliff Cave Rd, the first area you come to is the upper park that has some trails, both paved and unpaved that lead to a bluff view of the Mississippi. The unpaved 1 mile each way trail has good shade but is also used by bikers. If you continue to the end of the road, you get to the main part of the park that runs along the Mississippi and has a 4.5 mile loop trail. Bathrooms are available at both the upper and lower parking areas. The cave the park is known for has been sealed off for safety reasons.

Great place for a nice hike, on or off trail. Very nice views and some of the trails are paved for a nice stroll with the kiddies, strollers, bikes, and skates are welcomed. Will be back again, after I cycle through my list of course🖤

Lovely place. Perfect for all types, plenty of trails for walking/running/biking and hill riding/hiking. The cave is gorgeous and not too difficult to reach. 5m long gravel river-side trail that I did not check out, but I'm positive is very nice as well.

I recently hiked the Cliff Cave County Park, and it was a fantastic experience! The trail offers ample shade, making it perfect for a comfortable stroll even on sunny days. There are well-maintained restrooms along the way, which is a definite plus. The huge parking lot ensures that you'll find a spot easily, no matter when you visit. Highly recommend this trail for anyone looking to enjoy nature with some great amenities!

Nice views of the Mississippi River along the trail. Crowded but still had room to enjoy a peaceful walk and watch the moonrise. There’s a couple benches along the trail to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Great park and there are trails to explore at all physical levels. Can run/bike the trails around here all year around. Kids would love exploring the cliff caves and areas around. I love running cliff cave county and spring valley loop.

Enjoyed the walk we took through the woods to the observation site overlooking the Mississippi. Wonderful place. The walking path is shared by horses and bicyclists, which was a bit of a surprise at first. If I could make a suggestion, it would have been helpful to have a sign at the beginning of the dirt path through the woods indicating the path and how far to the observation deck. A bench to rest at some point would have been appreciated along that path which wound through switchbacks but the elevation was relatively stable. There is a paved route to the observation point that is wheelchair accessible.

This was a neat trail we just discovered. The roads are paved and wide. Good for bikes. There is also a significant mountain bike trail here. There are some great open views at lookout points. The whole place is easy to traverse. There are several loops from about a half mile, and a 4 mile loop. This place is less shaded than some trails due to how wide the trails are.

Peaceful and Beautiful! A lovely place to walk and see Nature's Beauty! Many different birds singing, Deer throughout the trail. Wild Flowers and wonderful scenery!

Such a beautiful park along the Mississippi! Full of off beaten trails with obstacles to hike that lead to streams, bluffs, the infamous cave, and so much more. Great for exploring or going on a leisurely stroll with friends and family.

Some have given this place a bad review because it is paved now. The paved trails are what allows for people with strollers or scooters to go. I saw some people with strollers and some elderly in a scooter. It has some trails off of the paved path that allows you to experience more nature but for those of us that have children and need wheels, this place is amazing! If I come here without my husband it is great because I can use the stroller. We even made friends with a turtle who was sunbathing.

Cliff Cave is one of my favorite parks and trails to visit close to the city and my home. There is a nice large series of loops and back-and-our paved trails that make for easy walking as well as some well maintained mountain biking trails. The lower 5 mile loop is still flooded and muddy in spots and is closed off (although you can still access the loop if your adventurous, and like trail detours).

With the new paved trails, overlooks and parking lot cliff cave park has really upped their game. We walked over 4 miles and really enjoyed the scenery. The overlook of the Mississippi river was very nice. The bridge over the entrance road made the trail safe. The trail was about 10 feet wide. Excellent job.

If you're a fan of long, sweeping swaths of massive concrete block retaining walls dominating the landscape, then this has been transformed into a park you'll love! It feels like this 'upgrade' has been cut and pasted from the typical vinyl sided subdivision and plopped right into a formerly untarnished natural area... and $4.3 million taxpayer dollars were spent to make it happen. I hadn't been in a few years, and was surprised to see the bridge crossing over the driveway down to the park. As we continued, the dismay continued to grow as the 'improved' vistas materialized. It WAS a great place to truly get into as undisturbed a state of nature as possible in the county. The saddest part is taxpayers footed the bill to permanently scar the landscape... I can't even form words in a PG-enough fashion to fully criticize and call into question the rationale behind this albatross. The full lunacy of this project is punctuated by the trees planted along the paved path. Trees were ripped out to make way for this, then new trees were planted just feet from a fully established forest, further displaying the ease with which one can spend other people's money. Sure, there's still some unpaved portions intersecting the paved monstrosity, but the beauty of the original landscape is gone forever. The 'accessibility' argument is just an attempt to placate the 'naysayers', but there are MILES and MILES of perfectly accessible trails within a 5 mile radius that fulfilled this need, and could have left the unimproved trails alone.
