What clients say about Brock Auto Parts & Recycling in St. Louis (MO)
They tried scamming us and charged us for the part they said it'll take a few hours to take off for us. I called them the next day and they still haven't taken the part and had a whole attitude with me for calling. 4hrs later I go up to get my money back. And they said they don't even have the part they had me waiting 2 days for. And when the main boss found out he told the guy who rang me up why you charged him he tried to act like he didn't know why they charged me for the part, to begin with, and I said you're the idiot who charged me and tried playing it off. This place has gone down I will not be doing any business with this place again.
I visited this business today trying to find parts and support a local business in a minority neighborhood. I came in and said hello as two people were already being assisted by the two workers at the counter. It was a lengthy wait but one of them came free. That person took one call and finished. I waited. A person walked in behind me after a few minutes. They immediately greeted them and asked how they could help them. I've never felt so unwelcome in a business. I would not recommend.
Paid for a rear end that they said they had. Turned out that they did not have it. Would not return the credit card fee that I was charged because of THEIR ERROR!!!! I highly suggest patronizing a different salvage yard.
HORRIBLE SERVICE the receptionist April is unprofessional and very rude. Waited over 2-3 weeks for a motor when it came to release it to my mechanic she gave them a very hard time and got into an altercation with her own employee about releasing my motor. HIGHLY do not recommend stay away from this company if you can DO NOT whatsoever do business with them. Instead of them doing better all the “owner” do is troll and make responses to every 1 star comment clearly they’re unprofessional again you shouldn’t do business with them.
@the owner when my mechanic did provide a receipt she still didn’t release the motor so please shut up and stop trolling and how do you know what happened when you were on “vacation” nothing but a bunch of CLOWNS
Good shop overall.. April has been nice when I have dealt with her. I also believe it was their cameras that helped a high speed crash investigation in Hillsdale. A car apparently hit a utility pole right outside their business and two cameras positioning North and South caught it.
First time @ a junk yard, I have no idea what I was looking for and/need it. They were able to accommodated my request via phone conversation with my son
They make my visit so easy!
THEY ALL ARE SCAMS ALSO SALES BAD ITEMS.. AND KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT 🚫 GOOD.. TRY TO GET YOU OUT OF MONEY TAKE A SPECIALIST IF YOU SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE
DONT TRUST THIS BUSINESS! I would not give this business my time or money. We bought and PAID for a motor that had to be taken out of a car, 3 days later get a call to pick it up, get there and the owner sold it to someone else even though his staff told him it was already sold. Not good business, and why, it was already paid for and we were on the way to get it. Then the owner refused to even come talk to us. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Great service! Roget is fantastic and extremely reasonable on prices and parts! Also very fast to respond👌🏼Definitely getting more business from me after today.
Had a great experience! We went to get more photos of a totaled car they bought from the city lot, guy who showed us the car was very nice and knowledgeable. We ended up blowing a tire on the way there and they sold us a new one and even seated it onto the rim for us. The vibe in that place is second to none
Didn't get motor after waiting a month (got refunded) and the clerks had TERRIBLE ATTITUDES! (I stayed cool headed and didn't provoke the ladies in any way)
Been going there for 15 years, and this NEVER HAPPENED.... they just lost a loyal customer.
The lady at the checkout counter was so nice. She's been working there forever and she's amazing :) they were fast and paid well. We will keep going back
Called 4 times to inquire about parts needed for my car. The 1st time they answered I asked for what I needed I was on speaker phone a lot of people were in the background talking to each other not using professional language, then I got hung up on. I called back the phone was picked up and immediately put on hold. I hung up I called back right away they answered the phone and said please hold and continued to put me on hold.
Spent 40+ minutes on hold, no hold music just 2 beeps every 5 seconds. Listened to nearly 1000 beeps today (did the math) and finally gave up. I get being busy and having to put people on hold but that's ridiculous, if people are waiting 40+ minutes you need to hire more staff to take calls.
I needed a transmission, they told me it would take 5 days to pull it. I had to put a 100 dollars down. It wasn't ready for 17 days and me having to call and harass them about it. Wouldn't even give me a discount.
They have the worst customer service ever!!! They make you paid for your parts upfront then tell you got wait three or four days for them to pull the parts I will not spend another dollars with
Guy is super awesome and honest!!! Brought in a few items when he discovered he was short on paying me he made it up on my next visit to him, I wasn't even expecting it, so i was thoroughly happy 😁.. he's even helped me out with car parts and more than fair prices
Had a great experience selling metal to Brock's. Weight seemed on point, yard employees were helpful, and the lady in the office was very kind. I will be bringing all my metal there from now on.
I was referred to Brocks by another auto parts company who didn't have what I needed, Brocks was out of stock after looking extensively. They found my part for my 20 year old Cutlass from someone else, instead of making me run all over St Louis, they are bringing it in for me. This is excellent service, these people treat the customer with respect like they would want to be treated.
THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO, ITS NOT PRETTY BUT ITS SO GOOD!!!!
In a very tough industry where it is difficult to make everyone happy, Roger and his guys go out of their way to put their customers first. I have always found them reputable and professional!
Roger has always been a huge help getting me what I need at a great price. Can't say enough good things. If you buy a salvage motor there is never any guarantee. Get a professional mechanic to check it over or don't go that route.
Just watched Brent Brockman throw his hard hat at a worker, old man with fancy mustach.😱😱 Leave the stress behind the curtains Brent. Bad look for a owner. Joseph was a huge help. He was the only truly helpful worker. I stood there for 4mins in the lobby in front of them to ask what I needed help for... finally Joseph comes out from another room and immediately asked what I needed help with. The other employees never acknowledge even walking to the shop.
Crazy people, but the have low prices, & get the job done. Took 3hrs of waiting for slow dude to install glass window.n
I called on Saturday requesting pricing on a radiator. They quoted me $100. I came in today to pick it up. The guy was nasty about telling me I had not been quoted that price. When he found it in the system, he was nasty to chastising the guy who put in the quote initially, even though the guy said he didn't do it. Then he doubled back and said he didn't remember doing it. Long story short, he wanted me to pay $150 for it, and gave no apology for the misquote. As I waited and called my mechanic, I was so upset, that I left and decided to take my business elsewhere. I understand mistakes. What I don't understand is making it seem like the mistake was my fault. No apology, no working with me on the pricing. Nothing. It was frustrating and very unprofessional of them to treat me like that.
Extremely fair pricing. In addition, I was quoted a(n already very good) price over the phone for two parts. When I arrived, I had found out that I needed a third, and he threw that in for no extra charge. A cursory Google search shows that extra part I needed should've cost me an extra $60-$100. So this in itself was very generous.
Unfortunately, I had to wait for a few hours for my parts to be picked, but they very graciously offered me catered food that was there that day for the employees (probably as a Christmas/holiday treat), which I highly appreciated. In addition, I ended up having some very engaging and awesome conversations with one of the ladies on the staff while enjoying my late lunch.
Finally, when they did return with my parts, they brought the parts I had asked for, and then a fair amount more, which they let me go home with as well.
They were extremely kind to me in light of an unfortunate scenario, but more than made up for it, which is the mark of any good business that deals in customer service. Especially following a pretty horrible experience with a somewhat nearby competitor, I would highly recommend Brock's. While some of the staff could improve their service skills, the aforementioned treatment by the owner and other staff absolutely more than makes up for it. I will definitely be back here should I have any more auto parts needs.
I was looking for parts for both my cars... The other guys kept baiting me along and bullshitting me. So I am not one to quit so I emailed them and Brent responded nicely and professionally. I was so shocked so I called and dealt with the rude person who answered the phone demanded to be sent to Brent. although Brent couldn't get me the part, he was at least honest and looked up other places and has continued to help me search to find the parts and prices so i can fix my cars. I for now on will just ask for Brent his knowledge and way he treated me was seconds to none thank you Brent. you are awesome man
I called this store maybe 4-5 times now. first 2 times was already iffy.
1. I called and got a quote of $150 on a part.
2. I called and the price jumped to $250
3. I called I was on hold for over 10 minutes
4. I called and was not only on hold for 10 minutes, but got bounced around on hold from person to person.
5. I called, hold again, but when I finally got to talk to someone, I kept getting interuptted and got hung up on. The guy might as well have said " What do you want? Nevermind I don't feel like making any sales today." This place is apparently awful, rude, and unprofessional. From the other reviews I've seen I'm not the only person who thinks so either. Maybe you should restaff?
I was lied to several times about a rear van door. Instead of saying they didn't have it, they kept baiting me along.....saying they would call when it's in and I can pick it up. After numerous calls to them, they said I could come and get it. I drive all the way there with my children (in a very bad area) just to find out it's the wrong door. I had also ordered a side mirror which was the wrong part when it came in. Said they would get me the correct door and when I went for the second time, it was the wrong door again. The people there just lie and lie. I will never do business with them again. How they stay in business is beyond me.
I will never do business with these people ever again. I'd ordered an engine from them to put in my car that was supposed to be ready to go and in working condition, they said it could be delivered in a day or two. It took over 10 days to get the engine. I tried to cancel my order with them, but the owner insisted that I didn't and even said that if I did business with them again, that they would take care of me and give a discount. I called about another engine and reminded the owner about what he'd said. He started yelling, saying that it wasn't him who said that. A man is only as good as his word, in my opinion, so this guy is no good and apparently does not know how to run a business. Not to mention every single time on the phone they were extremely rude. Why someone would treat a paying customer like that is way beyond me. If you like to be treated like less of a person and spoken to in a demeaning manner, then by all means this place is right up your alley. Unfortunate for them, I don't and strongly suggest going somewhere else!
