We pulled in to sell the scrap we had and the process was quick and easy. The workers knew what they were doing and everyone seemed busy with their work. Upon leaving I encountered a situation with getting my check cashed. When I returned to the scrap yard and explained, Carmen listened and once she understood what my situation was she was very professional in resolving my issue. She was so kind and also very informative. Good people over there at the Saint Louis Metal Place, that’s where I will be going from now on!
It's a scrapyard. I don't expect it to be clean, but I've seen tidy scrapyards before. This wasn't. The yard staff was not terribly helpful in just finding out the next steps. Carmen at the cashiers window was nice and informative, though!

I’ve brought in scrap iron, copper, and brass a few times now, and the crew at St. Louis Metal & Recycling is always fast, fair, and easy to work with. The prices are solid, and they keep things moving. Definitely my go-to spot for metal recycling in St. Louis. Thankyou st Louis metal!!!!
Called to get pricing, girl on phone just told me she didn’t have time to give me prices and hung up. I’m just one person but I run a small demo company and preprocess 3000-5000 lbs of copper aluminum and steel a week, how their employees treat people like this is beyond me. They could have the best prices out there and I’d never give them a second thought after that.
This is the only place I'll go to scrap. The guys there know what types of items I like to purchase when I'm there dropping off, and they save things for me to look at. Very nice and thoughtful crew!
It was my first time here, I love the later hours offered on Saturday. Both guys working in the yard were super helpful by explaining their process, friendly & pleasant! Thank you both, because of you two, I'll definitely be back with my aunts beer cans!!
Small scrap yard but up to date on all current prices friendly staff and open later than most all other scrap yards on Saturday was actually open till 2:30. Was in and out within less than 20 minutes. Definitely recommended if you're running late on a Saturday even though it's in the heart of the City.
A bit confused for someone who has never been here before, and they paid a bit less than market rate, but I dropped off my aluminum cans, got paid, and was out of there in 5 minutes.
Wow God doesn't like ugly and to slander a business over an accidental accident is just ignorant and your mouth is too truth be told if your Charles would have been at work like he was supposed to be it would have never happened maybe if you would approach people with an an adult conversation without cussing them out you get something done way to go St Louis Metals keep up the hard work
