If I could put zero stars I would. First time I came here I had an appointment to put the cheapest tires possible on my car (all four). I am a college student that pays tuition and rent, so it was the only possible option in my price range. When I came back to pick up my car they charged several hundred more than I was quoted online. I showed them my online quote and they told me that they didn’t have the tires I requested and they had put different ones on without asking. After a lot of arguing back and forth, I only got 10% off.
I came in today to get one of those tires replaced. Asked them if I had the warranty for the tire still and I might as well have been talking to a brick wall. After my inspection, I was quoted for $500 because they said I needed two tires replaced and a bunch of other stuff done, which to me didn’t seem necessary. I told them I would get the second tire and that’s all I wanted. When they finished, I was charged for the same $500 they quoted me for even though I had asked them not to do the extra stuff. Each tire was supposed to be $130 plus a $30 installation fee. At that point I had had enough with the place, paid, and left. That will be the last time I ever go there. I plan on going to Sam’s Club for tires moving forward and a South City mechanic for other repairs because he won’t screw me like this place seems to do on a regular basis.
Came in because my tire blew out & they said they’d replace the tire and do a vehicle inspection and make sure everything’s good.
They replaced the tire but didn’t see the wheel was cracked & was the cause of air loss. Could’ve caused another blow out & a car crash. Robert at the front said “oh well it’s not something we check” So they checked everything else but the wheel that they were placing a new tire on. Classic
I am pleased with my experience at Firestone today. They took care of all of my concerns today (tire replacement, front side light replacement, battery) in a timely manner, and communicated what they were going to do and what they recommended. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment with them :-)
We have been Firestone customers for years and have always been pleased with the service we receive. The folks are trustworthy and have always done a fine job.
Donovan & DRon made my trip to Firestone quick easy and simple, they both took care of me with a very welcoming attitude. A was very helpful and honest with helping fix my problem I had with my car😁
They should have replaced all my tires at once (AWD) but didn't do that for years. Years later, they admit they should have replaced all tires every time in the past. The failure to do so caused my tires to wear faster. When I asked if they'd cover the costs now, the guy on the phone laughed. Do not give this company your business or they will break your car and laugh at you
Brought my car in for a diagnoses. I explained why I thought it was the transfer case, but that I wanted a confirmed diagnosis. While waiting, I asked the intake guy to give me a rough estimate if I was right and it is the transfer case, he told me "About 7 thousand". Waited 2 hours, then the mechanic came out and told me it was the transmission. I asked what the fluid looked like and he said he didn't know how to check it. Losing confidence in this guy, I asked, "Are you 100% sure that it's the transmission?" Then he said, "No, the transfer case is combined with the transmission and differential all in the same housing. Can't tell which one for sure, need to take it to a specialist." For this, they charged me a $50 diagnostic fee. I then took it to a highly respected and expensive transmission shop. He confirmed that it was the transfer case. He charged me nothing for the diagnostic. One week later and it's fixed for $2700.
In summary:
Firestone took $50 from me for a diagnosis that was vague and wrong. They estimated $7k if it was the transfer case.
Specialist charged $0 for the diagnosis, which was specific and correct. They replaced the transfer case for less than $3k.
Lesson learned:
1) you spend less time and money by going to specialist from the very beginning.
2) Firestone will happily charge you for things that they did not do. I believe that's called robbery, actually.
I was desperate to get a nail fixed in my tire prior to a business trip the next day and they were so gracious at getting it in before they close. Very, very helpful and appreciated.
I just wanted to say how wonderful my experience was at this location. I got such good prompt service as soon as I got there .there was no wait at all. Everyone so courteous there and polite. I feel too that they were honest in their appraisal of the issue and did not try to get more money from me than was needed. Matt the mgr . Was wonderful and helpful, and another man Robb too was exactly the same way. Both very knowledgeable . There was a younger woman tech who I had pleasure to deal with and was impressive too just like Matt and Robb. They treat their customers with respect . The work that this location did was done in a timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this location. It was top notch. I live in ballwin mo and the Firestone near me in Manchester mo is not run as well as the kirkwood location amd not run as honestly as the kirkwood location. In the future I will not mind driving further to the kirkwood location to get the good service that I experienced there and will tell friends and family that they should go to kirkwood location too. They are 5 star for sure . 5they took good care in repairing my car door lock issue and I decided to have a additional repairs there too.
I had an excellent experience at Firestone. I went in for a tire replacement and they went above and beyond by informing me that all four of my tires, on my brand new 2025 Nissan Sentra with 8,000mil which came from the dealership, were actually used and worn out. Their honesty and professionalism were really impressive, and I felt extremely satisfied with their service. Highly recommend them!
These guys are always so helpful. I know nothing about cars and live right up the street, so go to this welcoming, honest and friendly auto shop often. Rob in the front is always so nice and helpful too! Thank you for helping me Firestone!
These guys rule! They're always very fast and courteous. I just picked my vehicle up from work which should have been an all weekend event. But they got it finished early and saved my day
Too much upselling. Came in with a nail in a tire. They charged 21.99 to inspect the car so they could offer lots of other services (this amount was later discounted). These services are not called for, per the mfg, for another 5K miles. Filter replacements at $47-$64, which can be purchased for $12. Brake fluid flush for $93. The car has 25K miles on it. Of course, the nail was just a little to close to the sidewall, so had to buy a whole new tire. The tire was only 123.99, which was reasonable, but with all the other fees (mounting, balancing, fees, road hazard, etc.), it was $164.83...plus the discounted inspection fee of 9.99.
It appears they did decent work, and they were timely, but you need to research and compare pricing before you go.
They were amazing!!! I needed windshield wiper fluid and called them. was told I could come right on in. Spoke With Matt, he was very kind. Told me to pull around and a wonderful mechanic named EJ helped install the windshield wiper fluid and I was pulling out of the parking lot within two minutes. Amazing work guys thank you so much. I appreciate it. Oh, and did I mention, I did all of that with a busy toddler! so extra points for being speedy!!
Came in to have air pur in tire for low air pressure before a cross county try road trip only to find the tire has a nail. Firestone was able to get us in right there and replace the tire. Received really good friendly service! Highly recommend!
I use a fleet vehicle serviced through wheels for work. These guys were pros with servicing the vehicle and working with the company account. Seamless. Will be coming back in the future
Matt was terrific. He made sure my immediate tire issue was addressed, but also ensured that I maximized my car’s performance with additional products and services.
Very very helpful, efficient and nice. They had an extremely busy day and were able to fit me in for an emergency repair. Highly recommend. Luis was great as was Donovan. Appreciate their professionalism
I can’t believe I’m writing a review on this but I couldn’t help it. I’ve started bringing my car to this location and I have never been so impressed with a place. Luis who is the manager is the epitome of a manager. Every thing about how he carries himself to how he treats everyone. He’s so knowledgeable and we have a fleet of cars … we now will ONLY go here. I actually enjoy going in. They are fast, kind, they really care and everytime I leave , I’m not just happy about the service but how the staff and Luis treats clients. I’ve watched him treat other clients the exact same. Wow! Thank you all at this location. We won’t ever go anywhere else no matter what!
Extremely disappointed in the service I received today. Will not be back. I made an appt to bring my car in at 8 am today. At arrival, i dropped my car off to have a tire looked at that had a nail in it for a patch and installation of the tire (already removed by AAA). I told the person checking me I needed to have my car back at 3. He said not a problem.
At 1:15 I called and checked on the car and was told there was one car in front of me. At 4:30 I assumed it safe to go pick the car up. I arrived and no one was at the front desk, had to walk around the building on the exterior to find someone I was then told that my car was just being worked on….and likely would need a new tire. It should not take ov we 9 hours to patch a tire (or potentially put a new one on with appt). The tire could. Or be patched they threw on a tire (not sure the quality of it) was told they “warranted it down to get me a good price”. Will not return. Poor customer service and experience.
The appointment time was honored, the check in process was seamless and the guys who recommended repairs on issues they found worked to find available discounts to reduce the charges. Great job. This type of customer service is what keeps people coming back. Thank you!
Hope you’re ready and able to read this before you pay to have any work done to your vehicle at this location. With that being said, here we go.
A month almost two ago we had the tires (all of them) changed on my son’s car. Keep that in mind because it’s important.
A few month go by and my sons car started making noise in the front, it was bad so we took it to a local and close mechanic. He lifted the car and called us immediately letting us know the wheel was not fully attached to the car, my sons car, he’s not a super experienced driver and to think of what could have happened had the wheel come off entirely.
There was $500+ in damage done to the car that had to be repaired to re fastened the wheel.
We called this location and explained they said they would take care of everything, do you think that’s what happened, nope.
So on to claims, we had John call us from claims, probably one of the rudest humans out there with zero empathy, and then tells us we should have left the car the way it was so they could investigate. Two problems there first my son needs his car, second they could not reattach the wheel as I stated earlier the thread was gone if they had it could/would cause further damage so it would have been stuck on the lift at the shop it was at.
So where are we now…in talks with a lawyer to reclaim the repair that was clearly the fault of the people who had the wheel off last, Firestone/Bridgestone. We understand we may never get our money back for this, but now we are just hoping it puts something in place so no one else’s child is put into harms way or themselves.
Be very careful when choosing to work with a place that shows no remorse for damages they have caused.
I needed 4 new tires. Walked in on a Saturday to make an appointment. They could take me right now. It took 2 hours to put on 4 tires, alignment and State inspection. Price was very good, time was very good. Very pleased with the Firestone store 1 mile from my house.
Always Great Customer Service, no matter where we are, rather it be in/out of town, or even out of State, of where we currently reside. All Employees/Mechanics have a well-rounded knowledge base of the simplest small tasks to the large, &/or extensive tasks. Always Welcomed with a Smile & a Greeting, and a Goodbye upon leaving.
