Car went out 3 weeks after having the car, Billy is horrible at communicating. I've been trying get a new car since the owner came and picked my car up. Family owned business and they watched my 4yr old daughter & I also helped us pick out a lemon car!!! Wow 4500 down on a car just to last for 3weeks .

My first auto was from Joe-ok. Used Cars now Joe-K Used Cars, back in 1992 paid it off early 77 Buick Park Avenue with a 403 engine, dammed near one of a kind on the road then had the Buick Limited body style but window was different? I give them five stars.
I have bought three cars from them all of them are having mechanical issues. They don’t want to buy back the cars because they know they sell bad cars. They look pretty because all they do is wash and detail cars but check underneath the hood and have a real mechanic check the frame. I have more park cars than driving cars. My last car is so bad we buy cars said because of the vin number the most they can pay me is $200. We buy cars haven’t seen it. Check the carfaxs. I see why 4 lots are down to 2. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T GO HERE
I have been buying cars from here for a long time , the last 8 years to be exact, they will work with you on down payments and payments, communication is key!! If you don't communicate then yea you probably will get a repo and not be happy.. also these are used vehicles always have someone look at the car before you buy it as they are sold as is!! You are the only one who has the power to buy or not buy the vehicle.. if u don't know anything about cars find someone who's does so u can make the right purchase... I see a lot of negative reviews but I feel this is or should be common sense
I got a van for my special needs child 2 months ago from Joe K and the motor went out. They won’t even work with me to get another and I live where public transportation is not an option in north county so I am about to lose my job after I scraped up everything I had for the down payment on this one. The estimate I was given is two times the amount of the car and the auto shop is saying it’s from poor maintenance but I’ve only had it 2 months.
If you are living paycheck to paycheck I would suggest not to buy from them, they will sell you trash after they tell you if something happens to it they will work with you, they will not. So soon into the school year my child with special needs will also need to change schools. If for some reason they decide to help after this review I will update.

I bought my wife a 2012 Ford Taurus last year about this time and we have put about 15xxx miles on in. My wife loves her car and when I get it paid off, I will be buying myself a Ford Fusion, I can't wait for that. The cars are really nice and Mark, the guy who sold me the car was super helpful getting the car ready to go after they were closed instead of making me come back the next day. But I paid the car off and they fired people for stealing payments and they said that I still owed them $400 and they haven’t said anything in a year
I am the kind of person that will give anyone the benefit of a doubt, so I purchased a suv from Joe k used cars and oh my God! My vehicle was being fixed every couple weeks no exaggeration, you can't talk to these people on a business professional level! They know they're screwing you over so they dont want to talk to you at all, they're just nasty, mean, and very unprofessional! Please save yourself a huge headache and dont look they're way, I give them a star for attempting to sell cars but they dont deserve it???
So far I have no complaints. Being an old car salesman and in the military where we perform vehicle inspection monthly. If you find something wrong before you buy. They guarantee they’ll fix it. I found something on another car and they fixed it before the lady who bought the next day took off! I’ve asked as well if something majorly goes wrong in worst case scenario there are third party warranties to buy, most basic one is $160. Covers engine, transmission, radiator etc. you can upgrade those as well. I put my truck on hold with over half the down payment and are excepting the rest on this paycheck. So super flexible and willing to work with you! How I chose a car is look at the mileage life expectancy of a car first. If you take care of your cars which you should it weeds the better vehicles out from the rest! Then check the interior (make sure heat and ac work!) and engine. Oil, belt, and fluids in all compartments. Noises, get it addressed! Don’t be afraid to look under the car. Look at axcels and any severe rust you may see! Some rust… I mean you live in a snowy state, just keep washing under the car when salt is laid down! With how nice and flexible they are willing to work with you, don’t drive away blind, ask questions and look up vehicle history! They sell so many cars a day but in the end it takes both parties to agree upon a deal! Know what it takes, and they can answer all questions! Thank you to the car manager, I was was in a tough spot, for taking the time to know my situation and offer the guidance to get me into a vehicle!
Buyer beware! Make sure to bring your mechanic, or hire mobile inspector before you purchase car from here. I’m a dealer myself, and don’t like to bash fellow dealers, but bad practices from some players degrade our names and the whole used car industry reputation, so I have to say my piece.
We see this dealer bid and purchase lots of cars, and lot of cars they get to resell are setting prospective buyers up for a failure.
Example, Chevrolet Malibu 2.4 ecotec engine, which has P0014 and other timing chain codes, but still runs and drives okay, everyone experienced in an industry knows that car is a ticking time bomb: fixing timing is several thousand dollars, and if not fixed, catastrophic engine damage will be irreversible. The amount of money this dealer was paying for that vehicle, compared to car’s mileage and value, would most certainly imply they would just turn this car around and resell As Is, because fixing this issue would bring car’ price way above it’s logical value.
Bottom line, I believe that this dealer knowingly tries to carry and sell inventory as long as cars look cosmetically acceptable, but dealer doesn’t necessarily pay attention to cars mechanical condition and longevity, especially when they finance these cars with high interest and as a long term loan. Please, bring someone with you, and demand every opportunity to inspect cars mechanically, don’t just trust state inspections, as there are ways to get car state inspected even though major issues might already be wrong with the vehicle.
Hope every dealer plays honest game to keep the industry name clean.
This is not good places to get a vehicle they do the safety and emissions themselves so it will pass but after that you are all on your own, I have talked to several people transmission have went out. I have been dealing with a car that was cutting off every time I made a stop no check engine light on or anything then they give me another car because I don’t want to give my money back and the key is not working properly, it’s saying that there is something going on with the computer in the car. They have been giving me the runaround for weeks trying to keep me in this vehicle passes the lemon law time I would not suggest anyone to buy a vehicle from them if I don’t get any results, I will be putting up a page on Facebook about JoeK junk cars . And you can look for this page and see how many people will come in and say that they cars are horrible.
Really silly, they don’t keep their social media page updated. When I called to ask about a car I saw on a social media page I was told it was probably gone because of their turnover rate. Then the guy on the fun said goodbye. Where’s your salesman ship? I’m a person looking to buy a car asap, you just missed out on my business. Get some employees with some initiative!
I’ve called up here about 4 times in the past week to inquire both about purchasing a vehicle and to sell them my old car. Each time they have given me the number for a salesperson to call, instead of directly connecting me to them. Each time I’ve called and left that salesperson a voicemail. Every single time I haven’t received a call back. If this is how they treat prospective customers before you’ve even done business with them, I can only imagine how badly they treat you once you’ve made a deal.
I would strongly be careful if considering buying from this dealership. I found what I thought was a great vehicle posted as "for sale by dealer" on craigslist with the dealership's contact information, only to find out that they let people "sell their vehicles through their dealership, and I would need to call the car's current owner. (Which makes no sense). Based on that and other reviews I would not consider driving to this lot to even try to look at what cars they have on the premise.
They owners are ok. But, Their vehicles are overpriced. You can buy a car anywhere with a cheaper down payment. $4500-$5000 is to much to for a small get around car, they need to offer cars with lower mileage & it shouldn't need that much work.
These people have no integrity. I wouldn’t advise doing any type of business with them. Just purchased a vehicle with them, they told me they would have my title the following Friday. I get there and it was not there. And to add insult, the GM tells me I miss heard the young lady that told me this and told me he is sorry I didn’t call first. WOW:( i read the reviews and turns out they don’t hold up to the warranty they offer as well. No stars is what I give them. This is what happens when you try to give people the benefit of doubt.
I really liked this company. I bought my last 3 cars from them. Never had any major issues with the cars, they worked with me if I needed to be late with a payment, overall it's a cool buy here pay here. This last incident just took the cake. I went to get another car a week ago on the 20th of Jan. They told me the big lot was close to get ready for income tax. The cars they had on the other 2 lots were either trash and they priced extremely to high for that car. All they kept saying was they was getting ready for income tax. Now this is more than 1 employee who said this to me. I'm like really?? I didn't say anything else, I just left and went somewhere else to get me a car. They have just lost a loyal and faithful customer. 3 cars paid off with them and this is the treatment I get. No love lost . I found another 1 that same day, cause never again. U have 1 time to do me. My money green, and it spends anywhere cash is accepted. Facts
So far so good. Lets see how the car works out.they take forever to do paperwork.
Update. The car was great i only had to get a oil change and tuneup (of course) and a coil pack. I had no problems with it. 2007 volkswagen passat. And they will work with you. I was $400 short on the down payment dude let me get it anyway i kust had to bring that $400 in the next 2 weeks
They are amazing and will work with you .. if you have the money you rolling... You don't need a 750 credit score to get something nice and dependable.. I bought 2 cars from here... I would definitely recommend
They will sell you a car just good enough to get pass that 30 day warranty. I bought a 2007 charger priced at 8,500. I had to replace all brakes and rotors within the first 2 weeks! After the 30 days everything behind my front driver side tire started falling apart. Estimated 800 in repairs. Never spending money with these crooks again!
So this car lot is scamming people and they sell lemons . I purchased a car that broke down two weeks later . Then told them about what happened and they told me they will only cover half the repair expenses if I send it to the repair shop they requested . Which they own!!! It is a scam car lot !!! You are paying them to fix your car . The administration has women in the office who don’t care or have any customer service skills, the owner makes his money allowing people to purchase cars with little money down or with no information knowing that he is trapping you in a loan that will ruin your credit . They only want money so please don’t be desperate and go to this car lot . Keep looking, do not buy here. Good luck to you if you do
Decent used cars that are affordable for families or individuals. Joe is willing to work with you . Just be honest if you feel like your getting to behind on your payments and he’ll work something out . $250 car note. Notes are not long at all. Just need your id and down payment of the vehicle your interested in and insurance or they help you shop for some . Liability or full coverage in their office . Angel the sell men is very polite and if you find a vehicle that you’re interested in he will put it to the side and on hold for you. I bought a 2002 Pontiac grand am gt, it’s just had electrical Problems but thier work shop helped me with that problem as well. Any problems with there cars they have noted on the windows and comes with a 60 day warranty. Keep up the good work and keep getting inventory ??
Friendly, professional service. Good cars for the most part. If you fall behind on your payments they do a good job of working with you to get caught back up. I've never had an issue with them and I've bought 2 cars personally and know many others who have bought cars there with little to no issues.
I purchased a 2006 Pontiac G6 from them back in 2017, very nice inside and out. Took my bf who is a mechanic with me to the lot and we test drove it together and he checked everything under the hood. It turned out to be a pretty solid car. Two days went by and I noticed a very horrible odor that came from the back floor boards. Took it to their detail shop and they assured me that the odor could be removed. They cleaned and scrubbed the back seat and floor with a cleaning solution. The smell had subsided until the very next day. When it would rain or the temp outside became hot, the odor would come back stronger with a vengeance. Time went on and for 7 months my car smelled so bad that I would be too embarrassed to have any passengers. I had to ride around with air fresheners and the windows down or become choked up from the smell. Besides the smell I had no issues with my car and it was my everyday driver and i even put it on the Interstate to travel out of state several times . Eventually , I ended up willingly giving them the car back due to me not being able to withstand the stench any longer. I would say they have decent cars, nothing too fancy at an affordable price and monthly payment. Your down payment may be a little high, but you will have the car paid off in a years to 2 years time. BUT ..its up to YOU to do the leg work and make sure the car checks out. I honestly believe they sold me a car that had water damage inside , but i couldn't prove it . So in saying that, I would give them 4 stars..I would def purchase again if i had to , and make sure that car doesn't have a an odor. :)
