Great place to find treasures for old houses or if you're looking to add a retro accent.

Cool place. They carry many new old stock doors, windows and hardwood. The place is very big. It doesn't seem to be as big as the last location but it does seem to have about as many items. The layout is better organized.

Absolutely love Refab. Not only for their incredible selection of old doors, fixtures furniture, flooring, but for their commitment to the community. You've got to go - or wonderful place for donations.

The area inside their fences is full of materials on fallen over shelves and just thrown on top of each other. Their sidewalk is impassible because they don't take care of the weeds taking over their property.

Old place was so much better and organized. New location things are everywhere and not organized. We went to look and couldn't look at outside places because of no permits. I wouldn't of opened until cleaned up and you have all permits needed. The guy at the door was to busy sitting in his chair and when I asked if he worked here he said yes and acted like I was bothering him. It is a shame because we really enjoyed the old place and those people always wanted to help you. We won't return.

Eric, the founder and executive director shared so much historical information during the tour of the new building! The history of refab (a place we have visited many times), keeping the legacy of St. Louis antiquity alive, the need to relocate and the challenges of making the old building work again! Amazing

On recommendations from every contractor I asked, I stopped in looking for some hinges to help with the renovation of our 1939 condo. Adi was so kind, helpful, and informative! I just love everything about this place and all of the things they do. Found my hinges and will be back for more treasure hunting when the new location opens.

Really great things they're doing. If you're looking for something specific for a project or replacement for an old St Louis house, they probably have it at great pricing. Or if you want to get lost in a store for hours, there are tons of neat things to see. Great people.

Refab is a blast to shop through! Their pieces are so unique and well-priced, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Items are appropriately priced and sometimes a little higher than expected for secondhand items, but the employee we spoke with mentioned all of the time and work it takes to deconstruct houses and buildings in order to accumulate their collection and it made much more sense. I will return for every future home project!

Spoke with Kayley about old radiators and a window sash she was so kind and helpful...funny thing is the 1934 Gingerbread style house I bought she had looked at when they listed it the same time I did, she chose another home but it must've left an impression on her because she described my home in perfect and precise detail, can't wait to go over and shop in their warehouse!

Pretty cool place for finding some unique doors, woods, and all kinds of antique pieces that have history to them but need a new life.
Aug 03, 2022 -
I've been here several times looking for various items for several projects. They have a wonderful selection of everything here. You might have to do a little digging to find what you want but you can definitely find it. Love their selection of wood, lighting, hardware, tiles, doors everything!

Refab is amazing. Love the custom work that they do. They hooked me up with this awesome mantel to complete my fireplace makeover

Eric and his team built a custom table for me in 2019 and it is gorgeous! They were so great to work with and I couldn’t be happier. St. Louis is so lucky to have such a fantastic resource like Refab.

Love this place! It’s evolved through the years. During my most recent trip I noticed the level of organization has increased considerably! If your a woodworker looking for some fun pieces of lumber you have to check this place out! Pictures are of a headboard I made with lumber from Refab.

The people at rehab are all so kind and talented. I ordered a cutting board, simple refab wood a standard size, but was not sure what size I really needed. The gentleman who returned my call walked me through my options. They promptly sent me an invoice which was secure and easy to pay…. But the service ! When I was notified the board was ready, I was just a few days post op and he offered to hand deliver to me !!! That is service above and beyond !!! They do beautiful work and the stuff on their website is so enticing.

Only 4 stars because I didn’t walk out of there with anything. There is a lot of neat stuff, just nothing I was looking for specific to my home.

A real GEM! Not only does this business do amazing work in the St Louis area, but the store is always a wonderful place to visit. If you're looking to replace something in an older or historic home or just looking for a something to give some character to a newer home, this is the place to go. So many options for everything from wood, to tile, lighting, cabinets, door handles. You're bound to find something special while you're here.

This place is an architecture lover's dream! There are hundreds of vintage doors, windows, flooring and thousands of door knobs, hinges etc. It is a huge warehouse. Fair warning, there is no air conditioning, so my visit today, in June, was steamy. But it was well worth the treasure trove of items I discovered. Refab is a non profit and their goal is to save as many architecture elements in St.Louis as they can. Before you tear down a house in St.Louis, PLEASE give them a call first. They could possibly give you an opportunity to save some tax money on the items that they remove. Spoke with Amy there and she was extremely nice and talked to me about the company.

They have been a great source for finding pieces that allow us to complete historic restoration projects as well as some creative designs. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Also nice to have a place to take donations where we know the materials will have a great chance at re-use by the community

Terrible experience. Made an appointment the day before as asked. We arrived on the time of our appointment at the same time as another family who didn’t have one. They let the family right in and made us wait. We call and no one answers. We finally get in and find something without a price (which is most of the items). Take it up front to ask for a price and wait forever. It was probably made in the 90s and wasn’t an antique and they wanted too much. Asked what we would offer and he basically laughed at us. So we left. Maybe our experience was unique, but we won’t be going back or recommending this place to others.

There were a ton of great things here! Great stuff for anyone doing a home renovation project with refurbished pieces. Also had some great light fixtures. The staff member who helped was very kind and nice too!

One of my favorite places in the world. You can get lost for hours going through all the awesome stuff they have. The owner Eric is incredibly nice and even gave me a tour of his shop. Cant recommend this place enough!

Visited for the first time recently and will definitely be back. They have all kinds of cabinets, sinks, windows and doors available for anyone who is rehabbing or just looking for a quirky piece for their home. The real gem though, is the wide variety of reclaimed lumber they have available. If you're in to quality wood for projects, this is THE place to go.

I loved this place when it first opened. I love the concept behind. I have been 4 or 5 times. One time I got old wood and made a beautiful wall. But each time I go I feel like the prices have gone up and up. I wanted to buy a piece of tin border. It has been there for nine plus months. We were told it was $4 a piece which I could swallow. I was then told that each piece ( 5” x 50”) was $16. 😳 The guy told us that they don’t see them that often. I get that, but when I have to dig in a hot dirty warehouse I’m not interested in paying that price. I might pay that for it in a high end boutique that has them clean and displayed. Then I found an old car mirror. It was $7.50. Still too much. Then I had found a gallon vintage can of some sort. They wanted to charge me $60. That is crazy. It might retail at a shop for that but they are basically selling donated items at retail price or above. I’m sad. They need to lower prices and people would be knocking down the doors. Not sure I will return unless it is during a 50% off sale.

We showed up an hour till closing to check out some pine floor to try and match/feather in a 250 square foot section of an old brick building in IL. Much to our surprise we found a rare stack and began digging. Two/three employees joined us and not only helped move large piles of flooring to make it easier to load our cart, but they also provided fantastic historical information about the floor, floor care, cleaning tips etc. They also helped us with all of the measuring, math, loading and strapping down to our truck etc. My family members buying the wood were from out of town and knew we needed to jump on this opportunity quickly because the wood was a perfect match. The employees were SO patient with us as we picked out each piece of wood. They ended up staying far past closing in order to make sure we got everything we needed and that it was safely secured to our truck. Couldn’t say better things about them, the store and team are absolutely fantastic!! Thank you guys so much!!

Really neat business idea and I can appreciate how well they actually organize random items. Sure there are portions in their yard where you have to climb around wood and steel support beams to find a good piece, but everything indoors is about as organized as you can when you constantly have random items coming in daily from all sorts of different types of buildings. I also appreciate the fact that it's 2017 and they take a credit card unlike some places like this that are cash only. Keep up the good work @Refab!

It's a cool place with a lot of unique stuff, but the prices are high on a lot of stuff such as used bricks, cabinets, and lumber. I bought an individual cabinet that needed work during their 50% off sale. At full price it would've cost more that a brand new cabinet the same size at Home Depot. Generic pricing is to blame there. A 12" cab should not cost the same as a 36".

I have visited Refab in its old location and the new. Overall it is a good experience, the folks are helpful and easy going. There is a ton of stuff to look through and you may find hidden treasures. My only qualm is the pricing, esp for the lumber. I wanted a few 2x6 around 4ft long and they wanted to charge $7.50 each! The lumber was worn and some showed signs of rot. For a 2x10 around the same length was almost $13 a piece. I went to home depot and purchased three 2"x6"x8' for $4 and some change each, brand new lumber. I appreciate the mission of the business and would like to support but lumber pricing is not realistic esp for the condition of the wood. I did find some landscaping blocks for a real good price and a couple of other things. I would still recommend anyone to go take a look inside!
