Tell your self checkout cashier/watchers that just because i look younger doesn’t mean I steal. I literally got watched and had stank faces made as I was cashing out. Seem to be doing a little too much for Minimum wage.
My go to location. It's always packed but the atmosphere is amazing! I find what I need every time I go here! Only one incident occured on my bday this year and management handle it with no problem! Other than that it's still my go to store!
Coming to this store made me extremely uncomfortable; I noticed there was a problem in the self checkout area and an old black woman was stopped from leaving the store. Her two bags were taken as well as a little container of food from the hot bar.
With the way things are now, when it's so hard for people to get food; why handle the situation in this way? Was she stealing food? If so, why not just walk her back through and help her get through the checkout lane, she obviously seemed confused as to why the bags were being taken.
The store seems to be the middle child in the schnucks family. It's not managed very well and it shows. It's always clean and tidy, and they offer many options for everything you need. It seems trivial but the design of the deli area is strange; it's tucked in the corner and is like a dead zone, but again it's clean and the food is appealing. The worst part of the store, however, is the checkout process. They always seem to be short staffed, which is understandable but when there are 20 people in line and two checkers, it just doesn't work. And the self check section limits the amount of groceries you can take through and they do watch. There have been times where I've had a few too many items and they reminded me that it's a fast self check out, which simply makes me want to leave my entire cart with them and walk out. They also don't have handheld baskets for shopping convenience, which is unfortunate. Everything is always stocked and I have yet to find anything completely out. And the Schnucks rewards program is a big help when you need a few extra dollars here and there. The store is clean and the employees are always busy with their duties and not sloughing off. It has good potential but doesn't reach it due to a lack of staff and the questionable neighborhood across the highway.
Great place and great staff. Always have what I need and even though it’s a bit more, let’s remember the Shnucks family always gives back to the community while taking care of their staff with good living wages, insurance and a place to work with a retirement. I will pay extra for these things so that building community is easy to just by spending here not Walmart or some big box store that gives back nothing to St Louis!!!
An oldie but a goodie :) this shcnuuks is still vital and well kept, well stocked. They may be understaffed because they seem to always be rushing around a bit. Still available for whatever questions you might have. This is where I know the doughnuts are made with love. People still smile here! There are several other relevant stores around like Ross and att,China king, little ceazars, autozone, lowes.
All Schmucks ( I've observed) have gone down dramatically since just the before the pandemic. I realize things change then but what happened to normal schnucks with decent stuff? Also this situation with a checkers and the lines and all that type of stuff is just ridiculous and makes you not want to go there at all if I was in St Louis more straubs and dierbergs would be it.
Well well-stocked store. Fresh produce. No salad bar. Staff is not usually available for anything except the deli and meat departments.
Too many people stealing regularly.
Homeless people pretty much take what they want inside the store to avoid security guards.
Weed smell all the time in the parking lot.
Customers have no common courtesy.
This store is always so clean and stocked. Fruit and vegetables areas are neat and kept up. Store has an overall good atmosphere. Very friendly staff at checkout and informative💯will be back.

Schnucks Loughborough offers a safe shopping experience in the carondelet Park area. Just like any other Schnucks that Schnucks offers a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and store brand items that are cheaper than name brand items but carry the same quality. Overall, I recommend Schnucks slightly higher prices, but you know you have a safe, clean shopping experience and you can acquire all the items you need for whatever meal you're preparing. They even have an office, pharmaceutical, and banking services. This location is wheelchair entry and kid friendly.
A great store. Not a lot I can say that is not known about Schnucks. There was an outstanding worker in the deli. He was not busy when I got to the counter and he was the nicest person that I have encountered at the Loughboro Schnucks. He finished my order and there was a line then and he did not act like it was a problem. Very personable and nice guy. There have been some deli workers that almost had a breakdown because of a line of 2 people. This night was not going to frazzle the 1 person working the deli counter ALONE... He just did his job and greeted everyone and gave service with a smile. Did I mention he was working alone???
I have been shopping at this location for 13+ years. The staff is friendly and usually very helpful. I shop there all the time because it's conveniently close to my house. Plus with the app with digital coupons I save a lot more money than I had in the past. Also I love the reward program, because I earn then more frequently as well as a decent amount to use towards my purchases. The best part about the rewards is that I don't have to spend any money if I have enough reward dollars to cover the cost of my purchase.
Why is it that these stores in the city get away with serving food that’s been sitting out for 7 hours why are we in the city not getting the same quality as those store out of the city this food wouldn’t be fit for animals more or less people the health department needs to shut them down
Terrible experience. Over 45 minutes at the front of the store waiting for a single pack of energy drinks that the shelf said would be available at the checkout. Instead it was in a locked case that no one had a key to, and I had no choice but to wait. It took so long the cashier suspended my order and sent me to customer service with assurances that the employee there was going to get it. Twenty minutes later that employee said they didn't know I'd been waiting. They did eventually make it right, when I suggested selling me individual cans for the price of a case, but I don't have that kind of time to spare.
Then I got home to find that my sharp provolone cheese from the deli, which I'd bought on clearance, was nearly THREE MONTHS past expiration. I called to let them know but I'll never shop there in the future, and I've advised others not to do so.
This is a good grocery. The staff is quite helpful. Several stockers and meat department butchers went out of their way to try to find a specific item for me. They did not have it, but there were very polite and thorough. They do have everything or almost everything food wise. Several non-food items as well. Good corn beef available for St. Patrick's Day. It might be a good idea to download the app or go online for coupons and deals.
There is a good deli selection. Meats and different sides. Desserts too.
Still a good place. New products, types of food products all the time.
This is one of the worst stores around my area. Lack of shipping carts inside or outside and not enough staff for cashiering. Only 3 people doing cashiering so the line is very long.
My daughter is an over-the-road trucker. She asked management, and was told she could park in the back of the lot, as, "We have truckers park here all the time." Their service is excellent and the fact that they let truckers park there is a Godsend.
