Shaun was amazing from start to finish. We were anticipating having a nightmare to deal with after our car accident, but Shaun was beyond helpful, quick to respond, and we were able to have everything processed and done in days.

I filed a sewer backup claim (Claim #3000466220225) in July for damage to my condo covered under Auto-Owners Insurance. It has now been over two months with no repair work or resolution.
Despite providing all required documentation and following up several times each week, I’ve only encountered voicemail, out-of-office notices, or unfulfilled promises of a callback from the adjuster. Meanwhile, my condo remains unlivable without repairs.
I respectfully request that Auto-Owners expedite my claim so the necessary work can move forward. Timely assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Due to bad weather and worse road conditions, I found myself in a fender bender with my daughter’s car as we came home from work. We had 2 vehicles to fix. I reached out to my Insurance agent after getting several estimates and was assigned to Lauren from Auto-Owners. Lauren has been working with me for both of my cars, easily reached, and claims paid quickly. Unfortunately, my daughter’s car was a total loss- but the car’s value was paid quickly and we were able to replace it. My vehicle needs some cosmetic and additional care and she had been working with the repair facility, making sure the car is done well, fairly and at reasonable cost, as well as keeping me in a rental vehicle until completion: I highly recommend AutoOwners (and especially Lauren C) if you find yourself in an accident because they have looked out for their clients and service providers. It’s nice to have an insurance company that cares about their clients first!
I recently switched to Auto-owners insurance at the advice of my agent.... Best move ever made . I got same coverage I had at a lower price. Got in accident in December and these claim agents have made this terrible accident stress free from there end. Can't say enough... had Nation wide for 30 years and they are terrible, so glad I switched
We had damage to our vehicle from a hurricane and was very impressed with the adjuster process (Jodi) which presented us with a very thorough market analysis, arranged pickup of our vehicle within one day of reporting it, and received the settlement all within 2 weeks of reporting the loss. Great job Auto-Owners and especially great job, Jodi Bowlen, for all of the communications and processing.
Jodi was fast and helpful at every turn. As unfortunate as it is to have needed to file a claim due to a tree falling on and destroying my car, I have nothing bad to say about the agents or the process.
After the initial conversation, I expected to have great service from Auto-Owners and would have given a higher rating. The initial phone call to discuss my car situation was fine. As time passed, I only grew more annoyed with the lack of help from this company to deal with my situation. I didn’t hear back from the provider for multiple days about the status of what was happening after making several attempts to get in contact with her. I tried calling the main office a few times and that was just as bad with minimal help. Any information is better than no information. I only received a status update after my dad called repetitively and asked to speak to a supervisor. On top of the lack of communication, having to deal with the back and forth between getting a quote and getting Auto-Owners to approve an assignment added to the stress of the situation. Dissatisfied with this company.
My claims process was smooth and without difficulties. The adjuster was very thorough and kind as well as the claims representative who emailed and called.
Could not recommend them enough! I got into a car accident August 21st and in less than a month the whole process was wrapped up! Even after the setback of finding out the person who hit me didn’t have insurance. Jodi and Steve were so beyond helpful and quick in responding to me. I feel very secure in knowing my insurance truly does protect me and want to help me out.
I had a recent claim with this company as a third party. My original adjuster Jared W stopped communicating with me days into the process. Supervisor Steve S also stopped communicating with me after escalating my claim, hung up on me at one point during our conversation, and told me multiple things that were blatantly not true. (Different information on different days)
Communication is horrible.
Staff is rude.
The only professional person I talked to was Jay M who was not able to help me because the estimate was subject to approval only by Steve.
My estimate was declined and the final estimate was adjusted even more by 17.36 because these crooks negotiated a labor rate. I was told that my original estimate (a difference of $1000) would make Auto Owners go out of business and they were still worried about negotiating the labor rates by $17!!!
I asked for original parts to be put on my car. I was not at fault for this accident and this company accepted full liability.
I was told that only 1% of claims are approved for OEM parts. I would like to know who is the 1%? I am highly dissatisfied with my experience and am now forced to accept repairs without having my car repaired to its ORIGINAL STATE!

I did send an email with the information you asked for to the email address you provided and never got a response at all.
Jodi was fantastic to work with. She helped walk me through the process, was timely in her communication and helped arrange for the needed rental while my vehicle was being fixed. She was empathetic and patient throughout.

I recently had an encounter with one of your claim representatives in Griffin Lough. I found him to be very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He called me back within an hour of my trying to contact him unlike my insurance company I tried to contact three or four times they wouldn’t get back to me. Griffin did an admirable job. I think he needs a gold star.

Our Auto-Owners claims adjuster Nathan Mark is fantastic! He is very friendly, patient, courteous, honest & professional! We were able to call him monthly from Dec. 2022 to June 2023 regarding our auto claim. We were paid our deductible in June 2023 after Auto-Owners was paid through subrogation. The wait was certainly worth the while. We thanks Nathan for his deligence.
Auto-Owners insured lady hit my specialized van in the front passenger door and handicapped ramp door. These are made one at a time so no replacement doors are available. Collision Pros in Norton, OH did the body work, including painting the complete right side starting with the anti-rust layer, primer and paint. Auto-Owners paid for all repairs, +the special check at Mobility Works in Akron to ensure the ramp would function well. During this time, Auto-Owners paid for a transportation company to take me to doctor appointments, dentist, weekly swim exercise, and pharmacy over 4 months. Her Insurance Agent was so helpful, answered all questions, returned each call, and helped however she could. It is a great company to work with and even the owner of Collision Pros said they are great to work with and he was glad it was her insurance. Each thing needed for the repair was approved quickly. For such a trying time, they made it as pleasant as possible. In the end, my van's doors look as good as new. Well done Auto-Owners, Collision Pros, Mobility Works.
Brayden Cox was efficient and pleasant to work with after the total loss accident of my wonderful Prius. This being my first car crash, he patiently helped me navigate the insurance process. We promptly sent him pictures and the info he needed and he responded in short order. He even, kindly, sent the garage opener that we forgot to take out of the car. His work ethic is impressive. He has been a pleasure to work with at a difficult time. I highly recommend him for future professional moves.
You never expect to total your car. I just had that experience on October 26th. Within 15 minutes of the loss we were contacted by Auto Owners claims to check on our well being and another call to get us a wrecker. Next positive experience that day? Our adjuster Brayden Cox. He was in touch with us almost daily even as he had to miss work with appendicitis ! I want Brayden to receive the kudos he deserves!! Great job! And great company, Auto Owners.
Auto accidents aren't fun. Like most people I know, I think dealing with the insurance claims process after the accident can be one of the most frustrating parts. So when my truck was hit in July, I was dreading the claims process. To my surprise though, I actually had a WONDERFUL experience! The person who hit my truck is insured through Auto-Owners, and within a couple days their claims center reached out to me to start the repair process. My Claims rep was Brayden Cox, and let me tell you - he was incredibly helpful!! He always responded to my emails and phone calls quickly, and he was patient with all of my questions (and I had a lot of them ?). Brayden took the time to explain everything I needed to know in great detail, and was always so friendly. He genuinely seemed to care about me and my truck, and helped ensure everything was handled professionally and quickly. I've been in other accidents in the past, and my experience with Auto-Owners claims was a million times better than the other insurance companies I've dealt with. Thank you so much for all of your help with getting my truck repaired!!
My claims adjuster, Travis Clark, was excellent!! Great, quick follow through on all aspects of my claim and any information I needed. He helped make a very traumatic experience after my accident go so much smoother!! Can’t recommend him enough!!
After having my car totalled and finding out the other driver, who was responsible for the accident, was uninsured, Auto Owners Ins. stepped up to cover me. Within 48 hours my car was inspected and was followed up by agent Travis. After minimal hassle, I received a check for my car in 5 days!
Initially, I didn't think I was injured. But, twelve days later I was in an emergency room finding out I had multiple broken ribs from "seatbelt trauma". Several bills (copays) starting showing up. Each time I received checks within a few days from the time I sent over copies.
A couple of days ago, Travis contacted me to double-check that I had not received any new bills.
Now, he is opening an Unisured Motorist claim that may lead to some other compensation.
Auto Owner Ins. and Travis have totally amazed me. When I tell others about my experience, they are shocked by the quick responses I have experienced.

Auto owners insurance company is the worst insurance you can ever get. They take your money every year, but when you file claim, they deny your claim without hesitation. I first had a hail storm damage caused the leaking in my house, and the roofing company said that I had hail damage, so I filed the claim. They sent the adjuster and he said that was just the wear and tear, so I had to pay out of my own pocket to get the roof repaired. This year, I had storm damage that I didn't know until the neighbor got their roof replaced by the insurance company, so I had it checked by two different roof companies, and both said I had bad damages, so I filed the claim, and the adjuster Pat came and it took him over a week to get the report and said the damage was less than my deductible, so the insurance won't do anything, and I asked to have a different adjuster and they said there's no another adjuster. When I ask the agent, she said she talked to the manager from the insurance company and the manager said there's no storms in my area, and they just closed my claim. That was a lie! I had my friend, my neighbor, my patients a lot of people had their roof replaced this year because of the storm damage except Auto owners insurance denied my claim. I was stupid enough to stay with them for almost 18 years until I had problem and need the help and they turned my down. This is the company I'll stay as far as I can from now on. It was an expensive lesson. Be ware! !!!
Worst insurance company ever. Worst customer service I've ever received. Filed an accident claim. Can never get ahold of the agent. Left 11 msg in a 2 week period not one of them have ever been returned. Still waiting on information about my car and it's been 3 wks since the accident. If I didn't have an extra car to use I would have been fired from my job by now. This company is a completely and total joke so save your money and go through a real insurance company.
