I just had a very pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle from this business. Jasmine was very friendly and efficient. I was allowed to test drive the vehicles and my questions were all addressed. I was allowed to take my time to make a decision.
Super grateful for Tom and the team at Tong Da. They were so helpful when I brought in my car that had been hit by a commercial vehicle. He walked me through the process for repair, stayed on top of the insurance company, and even vacuumed my car, so that it was cleaner than when I dropped it off! They were efficient and even came in under their initial estimate. Truly an awesome neighborhood shop! Thank you!
Incredible work! We've taken our vehicle there for two insurance claim issues needing body work and its been great both times. Tom and team worked with insurance and made everything easy.
Tom, the owner, is one very detail-oriented individual. He likes to explain why a scenario or situation requires X or Y repair, validating all of his work and body shop pricing. My Nissan required gentle body work in my opinion, but did require bumper frame pulling. The work outcome he and his associate performed was beyond my expectations. I'll be recommending him to others in Clintonville.
I could not be happier with the help I received! My right side mirror was taken off and dangling and the back cover removed completely while on my way to class. I knew it most likely didn’t need fully replaced, but I also knew I didn’t want to mess with it myself and possibly break anything further. I had called and asked if they would be able to help me an hour before they closed because of my class and didn’t want to have to drive in the dark without a side mirror. Tom, the owner, had given it a look and after 15 minutes had gotten everything fixed up for me. Where other shops i’ve been too would have given me the run around simply because i’m a young girl, overcharged me or had been condescending to me, I was met with the upmost respect from Tom. When I asked how much I owed him, he said how he had said he would help me and that’s what he did! No charge. I was overwhelmed by the genuine kindness. I recommend anyone visit this upstanding business!
Tom (& team) really pulled through for me and got my car repaired very fast. I unluckily had 2 accidents back to back, and he got both repairs done at once. He's was very thorough from beginning to end. The front of my car looks brand new where he worked on it, and my car came back super clean! I truly appreciate the time and commitment, my sedan looks better than when I purchased it. Thank you so much! Will definitely be using you again if I ever need services, and will relay that to locals!
Tom and his team were amazing to work with. Provided a rental, dealt with the insurance company, and fixed my new car back to the way it was before some jerk rear-ended it. Would go to them again and would recommend them to anyone that needs body work.
A fine place! Good customer service, helpful workers. My Toyota Rav 4 needed body work & I got a rental from Tongda. The repairs were quick. The rental was the size I needed for hauling stuff. A good repair shop!
Took our car in at 10:30 am because of an interior water leak (sun roof) and a loose bumper. The car was fixed by 2:30! Jerry thoroughly reviewed all of the repairs and how much time was spent on each. He said to come back immediately if we noticed any more dripping. He clearly stands by his work! Jerry and the woman at the front desk were very warm and hospitable and treated us with respect.
I was treated very well upon arrival, and given a your of the facility. I was very impressed, and will update my review, after the repairs to my car are complete.
This is a very clean respectable body shop and he does the job right the first time I got my truck back looking brand new like its never been in a accident, thank you Tom for a job while done ✅
The staff here are fantastic. I've had 2 cars here for parts swaps and they did a quick and great job with both. I had my truck in there and they fixed all the dents and scratches - looked like it came off the lot. Very nice and accommodating.

Owner takes plenty of time to discuss work if customer wants details. Owner will invite you into shop to show and tell if you ask.
Owner considerate of cost & in my experience will offer reasonable options to moderate costs. Especially helpful on older cars where customer is paying out of pocket & wants value for their money.
Anybody asks me where to go for collision or body work I tell them visit Tong da for an estimate.
Might not be the cheapest, but is quite competitive & unusually detail oriented.
I had my car towed to TongDa after it wouldn't start and the hood latch wouldn't open. I was happy they would take my car on short notice. Since I work during the day my wife was the one calling in and talking to them about what went wrong. The receptionist was condescending to my wife.. asking questions that made her feel belittled or stupid. NOT OKAY. When they finally gave us the estimate it was outrageously high for the work it needed.
When we found a different shop to take it to we still got charged 213.28 for labor (The car was there 1 day and they diagnosed the problem) The extra labor cost was billed for having to get the hood open (since it was broken).
My wife and I will not go back for a number of reasons.. I suggest you don't go here either based on the service we DID NOT receive.
In 2015 we bought a 2012 re-conditioned "salvage" Odyssey with 40k on it from Tong Da. Just returned from 4,100 mile road trip to Western National and state parks, camping in the auto with some modifications for comfort. The car functioned flawlessly throughout. A great buy from good honest people with whom we've been dealing for over 10 years.
Very honest and did very good work. Worked with me to find used parts that looked good as new. I have returned twice now, once for a side-mirror and once for a rear fender & bumper. Very reasonable for out-of pocket work. Rentals are very reasonable if you need one.
I recently had to take my car to a bodyshop after I was hit by a delivery driver. I went with TongDa over two other well known shops in Columnbus that I got estimates from due to the upfront and non-pushy demeanor of the manager-Andy(plus seemed clean & run well). I was not expecting an excellent customer service experience purely based on the industry it is in (autobody) and reading some of the horror stories you hear other people recount. But I must say I was more than pleasantly surprised. My rear driver side door needed completely replaced, a sizable dent in the frame pulled out, and then the whole side painted to match. It only took one more day then estimated(one week) to finish the job(and Andy called me promptly to let me know the painting was being done & would take the one extra day). When finished it looked unbelievable. My car is 10 years old now but other than a couple dents I've caused myself over the years it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Plus they detailed it on the outside & even the inside(which hadn't been done for over a year) to the point where my wife said it is the cleanest it has been since she met me over 7 years ago. I want to thank Andy for making me feel like my car was a priority and whenever talking with him over the phone or in-person being very up front, honest, and polite in his dealings with me & any other customers I've seen him interact with. Because of the superb work they did and the customer service he gave me I'd recommend anyone looking for a good body shop and experience to check out TongDa.
First ever time having to go to a body shop and I feel like they were completely up front about their service and they worked with me to do only what needed to be done instead of charging extra. They saved me over 200 dollars and replaced the motor mounts on my car for essentially free. I wouldn't have thought to take my car here but the accident happened like 100 yards from their shop and I'm now glad I did take it there. Andy was definitely helpful and courteous and was honest about the time frame and the necessary repairs. I would recommend them to anyone.

My colleague recommended this store. I went there to have my car repaired. Excellent and very professional work! And very fast. The damaged part is well repaired just as new. The manger showed me the dust free workplace which is very impressive.
The prices quoted did not end up what I ended up paying since they kept adding/changing what was needed. The rental car provided was a piece of junk. I recently heard another horror story from another customer, but I will leave it up to her to bring this up. I would not go there if my life depended on it!
