I'm a fairly intelligent man. Enough that I am never going back with my business. I just so happen to compare prices and by 45%, average gave the less amount for 4 types of metals. Copper ...aluminum siding ..batteries...electric motors.
Terrible scrap yard, signs saying drive through and a sign saying truck scale that's it nothing else. Drive through is apparently ONLY for none steel so they could have posted that at least.
The place is a disaster I'm amazed I didn't get a nail or screw or even an entire piece of metal in my tires with how dirty the yard was.
The staff is extremely rude people trying to just drop stuff off instead of directing them at where and what to do but just call them stupid instead.
Can barely fit more then one vehicle at a time with that small scale of a yard and building your better off having everything be one way in one way out.
This place is a joke. Signs lead you to a drive-through, but there's no one there. There are a bunch of signs that say don't stop, with no instructions on what to do. Thanks for nothing Cyclemet
Prices are low. They like talking about other scrap yards. Staff is rude. The rules change daily. This is the worse yard I have visited. I broke my foot here because the steel drop off area is not kept clean.
Not a great first experience because I had no idea what to do. Employee in the yard was able to direct me where to go (scales) but I couldn’t really hear the guy at the window and when I asked him if he could repeat what he said it was very obvious he was annoyed I didn’t understand. Once we got through the process he told me to take my voucher in to the window and get cashed out. I felt so dumb about it all and felt annoyed myself that I didn’t even bother to ask where to do that at so I just left without getting cashed out. It just wasn’t worth it to me.
I had not been here before.. cleaned out my garage and had a load of scrap. Actually got enough for a tank of gas. Got in and out quickly and the staff was helpful..
I was recently injured and had a bunch of old lawn mowers to drop off. The parking lot isn't very well organized and you have to maneuver around people unloading their vehicles in a very tight space.. I managed to get an employee to help but on the way out the manager told me next time make sure I bring someone to help. I received $46 for a riding lawn mower and two push mowers. If you take your stuff apart and separate the metals out you will get more.
Need some extra cash? Cyclemet is the place to go to turn in all of your metal scrap and aluminum copper and steel this is the place to go they offer competitive prices top dollar versus all of the other scrap yards the people here always kind and courteous and it seems like they just always pay more here.... I always go to cyclemet
I have been coming here for years and I have had a great experience everytime. Today was a totally different experience. I was about to collect my money and a man came out of an office. He said "Do you have your mask?" I replied "No. I didn't know they were required." We exchanged back and forth for a minute. Ultimately he wanted me to walk back out to my truck get my mask as the lady was about to hand me my money. I forgot the City of Columbus issued an ordinance and I didn't see the sign. I was in the wrong but seriously enforcement without any common sense is frustrating.
My grandpa took me when I was a kid I always liked watching the cans go up ther conveyor belt and sliding down. Now my son does the same. Never had a problem with cyclemet cool people
I take my grand-daughter here to cash in cans for money. On more than one occasion, the woman that pays out has a attitude. This woman is obviously not happy about being employed or has some alternate issue with certain customers. She never says, hello and never says thank you or have a nice day, even if she is greeted first. It is a shame she is in a role serving the public and has no customer service skills and is deliberately evil. Cyclemet Inc itself is a wonderful place of business, however, this employee is not an asset and is a thorn to be honest.
Simple drive thru to unload materials and recieve voucher. Pull thru and park out front and go to window inside to cash voucher. Quick process but you park inside while unloading you'll hold up the line.
Nice people to deal with. There's signs telling you which way to go for metal or cans. The guys do the unloading of the cans and are very quick. If you have metal you unload that yourself. They weigh you coming in and then again after you unload the metal. After your stuff is unloaded you park outside then walk back in with your paper to collect your money. And you have to have ID and your thumb print to sell metal. Cans you don't.
I love this place the signage is excellent so you know exactly were to go with
whatever kind of metal you got. Dan is a wonderful person to deal with and very helpful ifbyour not sure what you have and he won't screw you he usually will round up this is just a sweet place to go!!!
Brought in a truckload of steel... Over a ton... I was expecting more than what I got... They put on the ticket it was cast iron.... I'll never be back here long story short.... I got $22 for 346 lbs of steal
i run cans over and while im still getting out of car or truck they have started without me,i got stuck in construction the other day and got there at 457 and was unloaded with all my cans and iron and back on the road by507pm
