A little over a year ago I was getting rid of my 2018 fusion. The guy was super nice and explained everything really well. The customer service was good and all was going pretty smooth. Until he started getting the vehicle involved.
When he was doing some checks on my car he put his OBD scanner in and all of the sudden a maintenance light pops on. He claims it is the powertrain. It could have been 4 different things but he automatically “diagnosed” it to be this so-called $600 fix. He ignored me all 3 times when I asked him to turn the car off and back on (he was doing a test drive). Finally we finish the test drive and head inside. (I turned the car off and back on to check and the light completely clears).
Now we’re inside, at the computer, and talking to the “higher ups.” Not sure how to feel about this part but when he would send them a message, he would leave the room and comeback to a response. As if he was leaving the room to send a reply back to the computer I was looking at.
After it all, I told him that I would think about it and got out of there. There was nothing to think about. It was a straight NO. If you do end up going anyway, just know what you have and if anything pops up when it never has it’s them trying to get you car as cheap as possible from you.
This was a very easy and pleasant experience. Matthew is great to talk with and genuinely cares. I was skeptical for years but now I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. Thanks again!

We had the pleasure of working with Gary Orr! He was well-read, courteous, personable, and helpful! We received a reasonable offer and were happy with the whole process, which I will detail step-by-step below.
First we scheduled an appointment to come to one of the locations of our choosing in my city, which happens to be this one (Cleveland Avenue in Westerville). We received multiple text messages reminding us of the appointment as it got closer to the date.
We met Gary when the location opened and he was ready to received us. After a quick chat, we we went to the car where he looked over the car using a couple of different gadgets and talked about his findings throughout. Then, we took a quick drive with him so that he can assess the car further to determine a reasonable price to offer. The drive was only about a mile and that was all that was needed.
Back in the office, an offer was made after he messaged back and forth with his team and speaking with us. We shook on it and signed paperwork. The car was financed so we called the lender on speaker phone so that Gary could obtain the amount needed to payoff the loan as well as verify the title. Whatever was left, he cut us a check right then and there. We used mobile deposit right in the office to deposit it directly into the bank in case we would run into any issues that Gary could fix while we're there. Afterward, Gary went out to remove the license plate. Much of the encounter was done in the rain (except when we are talking in the office) but Gary never complained and he offered to have us stay inside for parts where we were not needed so that we could stay dry.
The whole in-person visit was approximately 1.5 hours. I don't think I will sell to private parties ever again, especially if we can sell to Gary. He took so much of the hassles and headaches that usually accompany meeting a random stranger to try to sell you car. The whole process with We Buy Any Car was seamless. They do these transactions a lot so it makes sense. This location was buying about 50 cars a week at the time we sold our car.
Matthew was really helpful & accommodating. We didn't realize an appointment required but he worked us in over his lunch break. Amazing customer service and we will both recommend & come back. Thank you Matthew.
