First off they lied about they prices cause I called and spoke to a lady at the office and got one price then when I got there it was something else talking about she couldn't give me a quote but she did over the phone. Honestly it's not worth the gass to even go and the employees were very rude so again it's not worth it at all.
I scrap for a living and over the last 10 years I've pretty much been to every place in Columbus, New World is by far the best, Eugene and you, between those two, and the pretty ladies that work the desk, you'll be in and out without any hassle.BEST PLACE IN COLUMBUS, everyone is friendly and courteous.
I come here every so often and it's always a fairly quick and easy experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. They give you fair pricing on your metals. I'll continue to come here in the future.
Plenty of room to move around. they're nice and they give you a fair price. I cannot complain about anything with this scrap yard. I can't say as much for the other ones.
My husband truck was damaged at this scrap yard by the crane operator. The owner was told about it and other employees were there when it happened. Now the owner doesn't want to fix the damage on the truck, saying since my husband left the yard, he probably did it himself and now he's trying to make a claim. It's all on video, and the owner claims his insurance company looked at the video, but didn't see anything. If they looked at the video, they would see the crane hit his truck, and my husband telling the crane operator he hit the truck. The owner also got in his feelings and told my husband he wasn't allowed to come back.
Been coming here five years. Horrible experience today with not accepting bags of aluminum cans. Won't use New World ever again and nor should anyone else.
Must we be so cold on the phone. After all I'm pretty sure I have heard more life in residents of a funeral home. Look if it's that bad answering the phone after all there is only one word involved "hello" and telling me what your hours are today I have a great idea for you wait for it and this is crazy but watch this get a different job hello I know crazy right.

I just had to edit my review after the experience that I had. Went to another scrap yard because New world was closed, and I really regret that decision. Not only did the other place short me in weight, but they also paid a grade below what it should have been. I've never had to worry about that at new world. Never again will I veer away and go any where else
That is really sad to read that this place has ripped people off. I used to scrap a few years back and bring my metals into this place. Scrapping is hard work. It takes your energy and your gas to go out and do this to make a little money to survive. I seen metal recently at the curb and in my apartment dumpster and just left it there. Sad that scrap yards are doing this to people...
Good place to go if you need to get rid of your old washer and dryers and other scrap metals that you will no longer in use and plus you get pay decent money for....
I have doing scrap for 15 years and was going to a scrap yard down the street. About a year ago I went too New World and have been going ever since. They are fair,efficient and friendly.
Never knew this place existed until today. Will be returning should i ever need their services again. No line, was in and out in minutes, no haggling and the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.
They're not very good with pricing normally they go off of a average scrap yards do but they're nowhere closed kind of a rip-off p I'll only go back if necessary and I need the money bad one of the guys couldn't tell the difference between aluminum and brass and he works for the scrap yard
IIt's ok. The men that works there helps you take things off of your truck if you cant do it. Very nice place to do business with. Every one is so nice and helpful. God bless them.
Very clean nice place I just came in here everyone was real polite my stuff got taken care of fast Eugene who weighs out the precious metals as always giving me the upmost respect and courtesy Robert it was his helper today and he helped me unload it was a very pleasant trip here I would recommend people coming here
Helpful employees. They unloaded the truck for me, pay was fair for the amount of scrap metal I brought, and they wouldn't just count a whole bin of scrap as dirty metal cuz a magnet caught one thing. They sorted it out so I got as much out of the drop off as I could. I recommend this place.
I was exceptionally pleased with their friendliness and helpfulness (for someone who had never done this before). And I feel we got a very good price our our scrap.
