St. Mary's Park in
Bronx (NY)

Lovely park to take a little time to spend with family members and for the kids to play... The park has a beautiful section for the kids to play.. the only thing the park staff has to work on is keeping the restrooms free from any drug paraphernalia so that the kids don't come across it.... Not an easy task but at least they can try or they can put some police presence so that the users pick different locations to use... Other than that I enjoyed the day with my family & friends at St Mary's park..

Nice park for kids and basketball, soccer, and some track/jogging/running, picnic, BBQ or party type gatherings

Nice hilly terrain with lots of walking paths. Plenty of grassy areas and exposed rock outcroppings, for the more adventurous.

Yet another great, accessible park just off the Bx4 or the Bx19; as well as a few other buses and trains. With its surprising size, multitude of things to do and see, and rather peaceful atmosphere, I highly recommend visiting this park, especially before winter and all the trees lose their pretty colors. Overall, I enjoyed myself every time I was there, and hopefully I'll be able to come here during a time when the recreation center is open so I can check that out.

Here with my 2 year old, thought myself i remember this park popular for huge mountain of rock(let me bring her) i tell you my daughter loves the outdoors play in the leaves but at risk of your health never. Alot politics go on about our community yet nothing seems to be done ever. Just long wait for minimum results. Yet our kids play in these parks today, now!

I wish was more clean and no people with drugs around kids

Looks nice and cool… great place to sit and relax . Well kept and taken care of.. but is close to busy road though ( East 149th) and is not as serene and quiet as I want.,,

If you're a NYC kid growing up in the Bronx or uptown it's a privilege and right of passage to play baseball at this legendary park. Years of NYC baseball history here. Clean and well maintained. You have to play in catholic school to find a better field to play on. Many bombs have landed over that short left field fence coming in down the line.

I grew up playing in this park with my cousins & now my grandkids play here! So glad NYC has maintained it so well.. it's clean and relaxing! Great Job!! ??

Near the track area most of the lights are out and is a safety hazard for kids crossing the park after school. Please address this long time issue.

It's a good park to bring family for picnic. Also good for fitness.

A lovely little park. It's beautiful at sunset. Looks like it has some problems with people on drugs but seems safe to me as regular police patrols. The park is under going improvements so its good to see the bough trying to improve the area. Also a police station is almost finished construction on its boundary. The park has several sport areas for football and running.

Nostalgic. I used to come here as a kid all the time and it’s such a nice park. Newly Renovated and very clean. A nice plus for the little Cocoiqutos and Mr Softie nearby!

A nice quiet and clean park! Needed to take a business call and found this park perfect! It was quiet, had nice new benches and just enough foot traffic that it isolated the noise of the city and they thought I was home. So that was a huge plus. The park was super clean, has an amphitheater, baseball field, playground! It’s such a nice place and def worth taking a rest in! Check it out and listen to the birds and admire the little purple flowers they have coming up. A gem in the Bronx!

And then just like that, you couldn't go in, because, you have to leave your ( gear ) cart outside. It doesn't fit in the locker.

Fun with the dogs. We saw a dove!! Black squirrels; calm walking paths; GREAT dog park. I wish I had a park like this close to MY home!

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and landscaping of the park. There is a basketball court, 2 children's playgrounds, an oval running track, and 2 full baseball fields. The bathroom facilities were clean and attended by Parks Department personell. Get a permit for the ballfield by calling 311.

Park is filthy, is under construction but if kept clean it would be worth spending a family picnic there.

Very spacious, many areas to setup for a cookout. Large park for kids to run around in.

The construction of the dog run and nearby seating area is almost finished. When completed St.Mary's will be beautiful and worthy of your visit.

It's a great park. I love going there to bang out some pushups and situps on my lunch break.

Right now the playground for kids is under construction but coming out nicely! Love spending time there, picnics, basketball playing, concerts, can't stay away. Place for your dog to play .

St Mary's Park needs cleaning up. It would look so much better there were trash and recycling receptacles spread out. Also parks department cleaning personnel. It was a great event today but there was trash around and that is not very inviting.

Visiting St. Mary's after growing up at the Moore house. Was a pleasure to see how much they have taken great care of the center.

Great park, has a bit of everything, soccer basketball, baseball, running track, you name it, even a section to workout. Although if you are trying to have a picnic there beware, it is very full throughout the summer weekends.
