My mother was a patient at the Wayne Center, she is being discharged today 2/20/2026. I am very pleased with the care that she received. The staff was very caring and compassionate. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a nursing home for their loved ones. A big shout out to the Social Worker Ms. Whyte and the 3rd and 6th floor staff.

I want to thank the Staff and Administration of the Wayne Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for caring for my brother. My brother has been a patient since beginning of November and he has shown so much more progressed in a short period of time here versus his last facility. The staffing members (including Social Services and Admins) are extremely professional, kind and caring. The nursing and respiratory staff are EXCEPTIONALLY AMAZING!!!! They truly make you feel like your loved one is theirs! The facility is always well kept and cleaned. Any time I call for Dr. Daniels, he always returns my calls eagerly answering any questions and/or concerns I may have. They are very honest with the family pertaining to the patient's care. They are very forthcoming and open with the patient's treatment plan and progression. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility for ANY of your family needs! Thank you again to all of the medical staffing and admin at Wayne Center for just being YOU!

My name is Pasquale Canale and my wife is Angela Canale. We are the caregivers of Maria Paolo. The reason we are writing this review is to thank you for the wonderful caring persons who are Ms. Obineche and Ms. Soobryan. Before we chose a nursing home, we were deathly afraid to put her into one, because of all of the horror stories that we heard about nursing homes.
I, Pasquale, go visit my sister-in-law two or three times a day every day. What I have observed about these two employees is that they are so caring to Maria that we could not help but to recognize the wonderful job that these two ladies are doing. They have canceled those horror stories that we heard before about nursing homes.

I would recommend your nursing home to anyone that would like to know a good nursing home.

Wayne center is a skilled nursing/rehab facility.It has an amazing team that provide quality care.
I highly recommend this place.

My 89 yr old mom was recently moved there for Rehabilitation after a nasty blood infection. I found The Wayne to be a very clean and bright facility, the patients i observed looked clean and well cared for the nurses are so nice, personable, and helpful, - treat you like family with genuine concern for their patients. Only good vibes. Moving my Brother, who had a cerebral stroke last year from his current Nursing home/rehab to The Wayne - I trust the Wayne to give him the proper care he needs.

My experience 30 day stay 10/13-11/13 at the Wayne nursing home/ physical therapy center outstanding the facility staff shows compassion with the patient The Nursing staff always available when called on outstanding.
Rehab staff is outstanding hands on with the patient never leave your side when your doing your physical therapy the staff is very detailed and dedicated .

Ms.Selostino was assigned as my physical therapist when I first started therapy I was unable to use my right leg total knee replacement Ms.Selostino worked hard with me to gain strength mobility back to use of both legs never left my side always made sure that I completed all day to day session of my physical therapy before living the rehabilitation center I was able to walk go home with confidence Ms. Selostino is the best outstanding physical therapist I would recommend that you ask for Ms.Selostino you will get the best results out of your physical therapy

Transport- Mr. Derrick is an outstanding worker my stay there Mr. Derrick is very compassionate when you are feeling sad he takes the time in hearing us out while taking us down to physical therapy Mr. Derick is always on time makes a sad day into a good day my observation the way he is with all the patients .
The facility is very clean thanks to the maintenance staff/ the staff who are responsible for the care of the patients needs are outstanding

I was at the The Wayne Center for short term rehabilitation. I received exceptional care there. Ms Elka Roth; the Director of admissions was kind, empathetic and diligent. She took time to explain every detail of the services offered. She also had conversations with my family ensuring we were all comfortable with decision being made. The lobby staff was great. The TWC was skilled and treated patients with respect. This includes dieticians, Nutrition, Social workers, and Maintenance. rooms are kept clean activities planned daily. Respiratory Unit was great.
The 7th floor staff was courteous and efficient while working together. Ms Ramdin continue to flourish you are kind-hearted & A gem. Derek & Will thanks for assisting us patients. You both provide the hope needed some days while being attentive & helpful. Therapy was great Grace and Ian you were definitely a blessing. Kudos to all the therapist cheering from the side

The facility is very clean, and their Rehabilitation Department is phenomenal!
For example, the setting is equipped as if you were navigating real life situations like getting in and out of a vehicle. There’s artificial grass so that a patient can learn how to maneuver their DME’s etc. The staff are friendly and courteous.

My grandmother has been a resident in The Wayne Center for 387 days, as of today, after falling ill in June of last year. She has been receiving great care from the staff ever since. The staff has also been professional and supportive of me and my mother by giving us updates on my grandma’s condition. Last year, my mother and I had thought that my grandmother would pass away. However, she is still alive due to their great work and the grace of God. My mom and I are thankful for the wonderful work being done by The Wayne Center. May God continue to bless them all.

I had my father on the rehab for 1 month and this was a bad experience. The nurses in the facility are not highly skilled and they don’t provide the necessary care when needed. At times my father was sitting on his vowel for hours but nobody came to clean. In addition, when my father’s condition was declining the staff and the nurses kept telling us, it will get better. It almost felt like they didn’t wanted us to go the hospital to get proper care. Due to my persistent persuasion, I finally was able to get my father’s out of this awful place.

When I requested for the ambulance to be called out the supervisor came and tried to stop us from going to the hospital. The staff and the nurses started behaving badly when I asked for the ambulance to called out.

Overall bad experience. However, the physical therapy teams were very helpful and supportive.

The staff is courteous, efficient and informative. The building itself is well lit, with the floors being nicely appointed. The rooms are adequate. The O/T and P/T room are great.

Wayne Center has been the best decision we have made in our search for mom's care. After a stroke, we were left scrambling to find post care for her after the hospital stay while on a ventilator. Wayne was the only facility in the NYC area we contacted (of many) to not only welcome our questions but encourage them to find the best option for her care. That transparency has stayed true over 3 years with the same genuine dedication and support for her overall wellness. Mom receives spiritual, recreational and physical therapy regularly bedside. She is always clean, hair & nails trimmed and cared for. I have even mentioned regularly how great her skin looks from the nutritional regimen they have her on. I'm so thankful to the staff there for their constant care. Dad rests easy knowing she's in the best hands possible. Thank you to the physicians, nurses, care staff, front desk and to our wonderful social worker Marilyn. I have the pleasure to meet with the team personally on a regular basis to receive mom's care reports. Incredible people here. I cannot recommend this amazing center enough. If you're in a place in need of care, making the right choice in a timely manner is critical. I encourage you to give Wayne a call. You will find the facility is beautifully maintained and equipped for giving you or your loved ones the best chance at recovery. Thank you Wayne!

Worst experience!!! My mother and law died at this facility due to negligence. When me and my family went not one person said sorry for your loss NOTHING! the nurses laughed when we asked questions. I have videos to prove it. The water in the IV is tap water! My aunt in law found my mother and law dead with her emergency call light on and not one person showed up beside the man who I believe was a cleaner watching the sports channel! Who knows what actually happened. Not sure how long was that emergency call button on but I use to see the other PT lights on all the time and no one came for a LONG time. Please please please do not send your love ones here. THIS IS A REAL POST. My mother and law should be home with us not in the ground!!!
Don’t believe the pictures you see online that is just the few upgrades just for marketing. Rooms are dirty! Smell horrible.
At least tour the whole YOU ARE ENTITLED A TOUR. Not just a couple updated areas ask to see where they keep the PT.

A pond admission, my family member needed a gown to change into from the arrival clothes and was told there wasn’t any. The African male CNA was very rude to the patient and said what do you want me to do. He refused to check on another floor or call house keeping for a gown. A nursing facility should not never run out of gown for the patients. This mean that the patients will remain soiled and the is unsanitary. An unsanitary condition can lead to other health problems. In addition, cause skin disease like MRSA or staphylococcus. This is a very sad situation

Everyone I have interacted with at this facility has been knowledgeable, kind, and very dedicated to their craft. They are attentive guides through challenging circumstances. They care deeply about their patients, families, and the healthcare community that supports them.

The Wayne Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing home has welcoming staff that greet you when you walk in. I visited for a training and the Director of Admission, Elka Roth greeted my colleagues and myself upon arrival. The site has several services, such as but not limited to social services, rehab with OT/PT/Speech, Hospice, Respiratory Care, Therapeutic Recreation, and many more that will allow their clients to receive the care they need. They accept over 30 different types of insurances; which will allow for financial assistance to be provided. This is a beautiful location and the atmosphere makes you feel welcoming. I would recommend this location to those that need the care.

I visited Wayne’s Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing for a CEU’s training. The staff were very welcoming, the place looks very clean and organized. The hygiene looks excellent. We had a tour of the place and discussed the services they provide such as Respiratory Care, On-site Dialysis, Hospice Care, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Services, and many more. They cover a lot of insurance, the location is very convenient in the Bronx. Elka Roth the Director of Admissions was very helpful and resourceful. Very nice place, as Social Worker that works with Homebound seniors, I 100% recommend the place for those who need nursing and rehab services.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Wayne Rehabilitation Center, and I must say that the facility is quite impressive. The entrance exudes a welcoming ambiance reminiscent of a high-end hotel. During my friend's five-month stay at Wayne, I observed the staff's exceptional care and compassion towards her. Their dedication to providing top-notch treatment is truly commendable.

Usually I wouldn’t post a comment but I have to express the behavior from the recreation director regarding 2 issues the calendar for the vent patients which I think is ridiculous it’s to much going on and I feel that it’s not much for them on the calendar for them so when I asked the director regarding those issues she was so rude and had the nerve to walk away and brushed me off. The Wayne Center has really went downhill ever since she took over. Our families deserve more

I only have gratitude towards the staff at Wayne. They worked with me for the past two years so that my mother could get the rehabilitation she needed so that I could bring her home. It is NOT a "one man show", "it takes a village to raise a child". Family and staff MUST work together so that the patient can succeed. God Bless You Wayne Center Staff! K. Rodriguez

I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional care and support my father-in-law receives at this nursing home. The staff's compassion and professionalism create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and their commitment to his well-being is evident in every interaction. From the immaculate facilities to the engaging activities tailored to residents' preferences, it's clear that this nursing home goes above and beyond to ensure a high standard of care. Our family is truly grateful for the outstanding service provided by the dedicated team. It's comforting to know he's in such capable and caring hands.

If you are looking to send your loved one here just know administration and nursing are not family friendly they will avoid,disrespect and disregard your concerns! I even had an aide tell me if I was concerned about my loved one I “should just take them home” all because I asked how long my family member was sitting in soil! The only good thing about this place is a lady by the name Michelle , every-time I go visit I see her making her rounds and doing her diligence by providing one on one time to the patients always with a smile that can brighten anyone’s day ! Something not even most aides /nurses on duty are doing , I have personally seen her with my loved one playing music ,speaking with and even consoling my family and that’s EMPATHY that many people do not obtain at this facility. This facility will talk about compassion but it seems they push the good workers out or run them off for not paying them what they are worth and it leaves family members with the BOTTOM OF THE BARREL CARE. I will also like to compliment social work and part of the PT team. Administration should look into who they hire for these night shifts and possibly consider it can easily be them or their loved ones who need long term care ! The sick and disabled are still HUMAN and do not deserve to be treated subpar. This place has potential but as it sits you can hand pick a few good people who keep it running on their back while the bad seeds skim by for their paycheck and salary.

I’ve been to Wayne 3-4 times for inservices and staff is always more than welcoming . They have it set up very well for patients such as an apartment to mimic the community for patients returning home . They even keep their conference room relaxed with imitation, tree , sky and grass . I highly recommend Wayne for your patients or family

The worse center please do not take your love one there there is a lot of abuse at night time the 11x7 shift, the staff are sleeping and going to the patients rooms to use the phone and sleep. There is a lot of discrimination with the Spanish people, specially on the second floor. The patients and family members are being abuse verbally and mentally. The patients are full of wounds because they have to sleep with wet and dirty diapers all night. It’s horrible. The majority of the staff don’t speak English, there is no communication at all. When the family members complained they’re being threatened. The center look very clean but it’s a nightmare. It’s horrible how the CNA from the night shift abuse the patients and nobody do nothing at all. There is a lot of empty promise, please don’t take your family member there. My brother was there and he was abused. The administration needs to do a lot of work. All the night staff are abusive.

The staff are very professional and caring. I couldn't have asked for a better facility because I don't think there's one in New York like the WAYNE CENTER. Thank you for being available for my husband and my piece of mind with his care. God'a blessings upon everyone in the WAYNE CENTER and thanks again.

The staff at The Wayne Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation has a refreshingly friendly approach. They've not only provided me with excellent care but have also made me feel like a valued member of their community. Their warmth and friendliness have truly enriched my experience during my time here.

I was hoodwinked by this place. I was told by a guy named Alex that they did excellent Hospice care. THEY DON'T. Aside from the fact that much of staff we interacted with the short time my Mother was there before she passed didn't speak or understand English, the "Hospice" care was supposed to be delivered by New York Hospice. I never saw them! My Aunt saw them only twice, for a total of about 5 to 10 minutes for the week, week and ½ my Mom was there. They used regular tap water to feed her via feeding tube, not sterile water. Much mornings I'd get there and my Mom was dirty, her trach area and tube would be dirty, as well as her gown. There were staff who apparently didn't know how to change or disconnect IV connection. It was like amateur hour.
I can't speak to their Rehab services, my Mom was not there for that. But DO NOT use them for Hospice! Find a facility that specializes in Hospice Care and DO NOT use The Wayne Center.

I will forever feel horrible that my Mother's last days were spent there.
