They were trynna make me change my brakes during a dmv inspection when I have no brakes issues.
I am not a mechanic, however with my 20 years of driving experience, I know when a car has brakes problems. Prices are unreasonable.

I highly recommend having your vehicles serviced at Midas, located at 589-91 E. Fordham Road, Bronx, New York. I have been a loyal Midas customer of this service center for over 30 years for the courteous and outstanding quality service it has consistently provided under the same management. Midas has performed great work on all of the vehicles I have owned and reliably maintained and repaired my vehicles when needed. Their honest way of doing business has definitely earned my trust, so I feel confident authorizing service and repairs because I know they are being straight with me and I am not being overcharged. I simply won't go anywhere else. When they advise me that my car needs a specific type of maintenance service or repair, it's never the sales pitch to boost revenue that you would typically receive from competing service centers. They always give me their honest professional advice on what my vehicle really needs and when it is most advisable to do the work while still operating my vehicle safely. If it should be done immediately or can wait a few months, they will let me know that. In conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to this Midas service center for caring so well for my vehicles all of these years. I have been able to drive safely and harmoniously because of it and I shall continue to be a loyal customer.
I totally agree with these reviews! I’m from Minnesota visiting and was going to do my brakes at my buddies place down the street but got to busy to do it. I had the rotors and drums to do the work but didn’t pick up the brake pads yet. They sold me the pads and didn’t try to sell me the parts I already had. They used the rotors and drums I had cause it sounded like it was from the same place they get there parts. This is how you win over customers!! You do fair work and the customer will come. Please to ever change you Business model keep being fair to your Community and you will be in Business for many years!!
This is the spot to bring your car. Needed brakes and I had my rotors in the trunk and they did it for me and just charged me the labor. This is the type of place that does not nickel and dime you. As one of the top sales persons in the country. You get more customers by being fair than you do by trying to hit a sales goal. Word of mouth to other people is priceless. Thank you!
For roughly 300. got front rotors and break pads changed (labor only)Full synthetic oil change (labor only) and a new horn for the car since last one was damaged (parts and labor) air filters and cabin filters. Left the car around 8:30am at the shop and got it back by 11am. They offer almost all parts if you don’t want to bring your own.

Great people Amazing service Good Vibes , it was refreshing to deal with people who genuinely love what they do it shows , and the owner is a great guy and so are the employees. They really went above and beyond to fix my AC in my car including traveling to queens to get a part that was discontinued after searching high and low for it. I’ll def be back
I found this place a while back and travel about 20-30 min to get there. The owner is very nice, his prices are fair. He shows you details and let's you know what is being done. I'm never in there too long.

It's a few weeks late but I couldn't forget to leave a raving review for Scott and his crew ! I bought my brand new Rav4 in and he let me know that I needed a new tire, rim and hub cap and he didn't have it available but he ordered it and it came overnight ! I was only without my car for 24 hours and he gave it back to me good as new ! Customer Service was great and he was extremely patient with me and all my questions ! As a first time car owner and a woman, I felt very comfortable with his help. I really appreciated it and I would recommend this shop to anyone !

Price and the job was amazing compared to what dealerships were quoting for my bmw m2 brake rotors and pads replacement on all 4 sides. One single reason as to why they didn’t get 5 stars is because I needed my new plates installed on the front and back. The front has a tow hook mount plate. Everything looked great until I arrived home and took a better look and the plate holder was touching my front bumper so i loosen it up so it won’t touch…. only to find out that my freshly painted bumper I had repainted last week now has a nasty paint chip down to the primer. 😡
Five stars are NOT enough to give these two gentlemen, Larry who worked on my car who kept me informed on all my car repair needs and was so kind and knowledgeable and Scott who was extremely helpful and kind to me when i needed my car repaired. I want to thank Scott Franklin and his team, I was dealing with the dealership for a few years and all I would get is wasted time and money and poor service, I finally got fed up and wanted to go some where different I remembered Midas from when I was a kid so I took a chance I’m glad I did. Got me new tires, new brakes, wheel alignment and my filters changed, and state inspection, the price was way cheaper than what other places wanted to charge, they even changed my fluids fixed an issue I had with my wipers free of charge, My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee is running great. I definitely would recommend them for any issues you may have, they’ve gained me as a Coustumer, again thank you guys God Bless!
I was a little apprehensive to bring my car there at first cause I'm from out of town. I'm glad I made the decision to bring my car there. They fixed my car for some necessary routine repairs, my car a 2011 Nissan Versa runs better now than when I brought it. I felt they were fare, did excellent work on my car, and even help get me a Midas credit card! I would recommended them to any single women like myself who are afraid of these mechanic shops that take advantage of our lack of car knowledge. Very, very good. The supervisor Scott is helpful and takes his time to explain what the problem is with your vehicle. The mechanic Larry also gave me a detailed reason why my car was acting the way it was and fixed the problem. I was allowed to see what the problem was with my car. Very personable and upfront. Financially the prices are also reasonable. And Scott will work with you so you can get back on the road. I would recommend this particular Midas repair shop. Thanks guys.

Returned today 1/6/21. As usual Scott and his staff are great. Waiting area is clean and they adhere to CDC protocols. Very honest and everything is explained before work is done. So there are NO shocking bills. ALWAYS my place for car repairs.
Scott and his team are efficient, honest and professional. Decided to wait around and watch for the few hours. Wrapped up quicker than expected and Garcia was kind enough to talk me through or answer any questions I had regarding my suspension and brakes.
They don’t double charge for overlapping labor, so great if you want to talk yourself into getting more than one thing done.
Great place, great location, the professional that service my vehicle, JAY has excellent customer service and excellent attention to detail. He answered all my questions and explained everything that was happening. He took care of everything right away (changed my tires, changed my oil, changed my brakes, etc). He even recommended car washes that provided great power washer hose services to clean the grime and dirt in my vehicle hard to reach places. Highly recommend this place - please ask for JAY.
