This place is amazing customer service! My engine blew out in a snow storm and was towed here on the sidewalk. The manager Keith took great care of it while it was in their hands! I truly appreciate the great customer service and car service as well!

AMMCO has earned my trust more than once. They replaced the engine in my 2006 Kia Rio 5 a couple of years ago and it’s still running smooth as ever. Most recently, I brought the car back in for a leaking/cracked valve cover, and they took care of it quickly and professionally. The team kept me updated, explained the issue clearly, and the car drives great again. Honest work, fast turnaround, and solid results — highly recommend AMMCO for anyone who needs reliable auto service in the area. The owner(s) are friendly and super knowledgeable about cars. A+++++

Trustworthy advice. No upsell or bogus claims. Also more thorough than Curry Acura emailing funky colored inspection pds that remind me of the ones from Teddy VW in which the tread wear and rotor measurements are left blank per default. I will compare prices and likely return to take care of unfinished business. One minor glitch was mentioning a require power steering flush when the vehicle has no hydraulic steering.

My key got stuck in the ignition on thanksgiving day 😡 I took a chance and called the next day ( hoping they were open, just full from turkey) but they weren’t 😢 I stood outside and called the number and to my surprise the owner Mr Anthony answered 🥰 I explained my situation.. he got me towed to the shop and said relax.. I got u and I’ll see u Monday.. I enjoyed my thanksgiving weekend and called back Monday morning for updates.. spoke with Mr Keith who helped me with financing my payment and I was rolling on the road again!! 🥰🥰

Friendly professional advice, sense of humour is essential with me and very important to explain the importance of the repair work that was done on my transmission. I highly recommend AAMCO for your transmission repair when your car suffers a stroke! lol

Brought my car in to check the status of my transmission not only did they take me in right away. They checked my car in under an hour and gave me the best advice possible.

Honest, fair, and great service! I brought my 2015 Nissan Altima to AAMCO for transmission work, and they were upfront, professional, and easy to work with. The manager explained everything clearly from the start and was honest about pricing — the final cost was very fair for the amount of work done. There was a small delay, but they worked with my schedule and got my car ready by the time I said I needed it. My car drives perfectly now! I bought a used car last year that ended up needing multiple repairs at different mechanics (chosen by the dealer), and after months of ongoing issues, I decided to try this AAMCO location based on the strong reviews. I was hesitant—especially with the added out-of-pocket expense since the warranty only covered part of the repairs—and even considered trading in the car altogether. After speaking with Keith and hearing his confidence that they could finally resolve the problem, I decided to move forward. I’m so glad I did. For the first time in a year, I feel relieved. We just drove our daughter from NYC to Albany and back without a single issue! If I had to point out one small downside, it would be that I received a parking ticket while the car was at the shop—something I only found out about when the notice arrived in the mail. An inconvenience, but not a deal-breaker. Overall, I’m happy with the service and communication. Hopefully, I won’t need any more repairs anytime soon—but if I do, or if someone I know has transmission or differential issues, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. Thanks again, guys

Anthony and Keith are truly exceptional individuals, my car was with them for some major repairs and everything came out truly exceptional. The professionalism, courtesy, weekly updates and the patience was what won me over. Very few owners/service writers show this type of work ethic and sincerity to a customer. I called 2 weeks ago to make an appointment for 8 am. I was told to sit across the street, until they could see the car. Mind you it’s almost 90 degrees outside. I sat there for 2 hrs waiting. What’s the point of making an appointment with no intentions on being seen? I’m assuming since the service they are providing is free. That, that is the catch. You have to wait….Thats not in the memo!

Though the prices are a bit high, the workmanship is impeccable. Staff is very professional and very detailed. And AAMCO has been my go to mechanic for several years now, and I would not Mechanic. I definitely recommend AAMCO Gunhill Rd in the Bronx.

My car got towed here after breaking down in the middle of the night, following morning I came into the shop and the man working at the front desk was beyond kind and efficient, he then sent me to Keith who was honestly one of the nicest people ive had touch my car. He's an honest man who didnt try to upcharge me and actually tried his hardest to get me the best price possible. This shop is full of hard working people, if you need your car fixed go see Keith!

Well run shop. Several lifts, professional mechanics, air conditioned office. Efficient and expedient service. If you want to get work done on your car, don't want to worry about being ripped off, and want to be treated with courtesy, this is a one and done stop. Highly recommend. I had a good experience and so did my partner when he needed to drop off our car in a pinch. Hard to find a good place that runs like a well oiled machine without charging exorbitant prices. You get quality service at a trustworthy neighborhood spot. I've been driving for over 20 years. Been to a lot of shops. This one is gold. Very satisfied customer here.

My car's power was dragging, Keith diagnosed my car within a couple hours then got me out in 2 days. My power is back and I feel safe in my vehicle again. Excellent service!

Great customer service, the staff were friendly and helpful. My friend recommended Aamco on Gun Hill road . The repairs to my car were done timely I didn’t get the run around. I was not told about extra repairs to be done that didn’t exist . Keith, the service advisor was straight up and honest and he kept me informed about the repairs , and when the car would be finished. My car is running much better . So that tells me that they did a good job with the repairs. I will definitely make Aamco my go to for my car repairs

Everyone was very helpful & professional throughout this process . My radiator was leaking and they replaced it quickly and efficiently. They called and gave me daily updates which was kind. I’m truly grateful for these guys. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous and respectful. God willing I won’t have to return for any mechanical issues. But if any should arise I’m comfortable bringing my Chevy suburban 17 back to this location. Which is quite some ways from where I reside. But it’s worth it.

I had a great experience at AAMCO, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for a reliable shop to work on your car, especially if you own an Audi. My vehicle was returned to me about three days ago, and I'm pleased with the results so far. The service I received was excellent. Seward and the owner, Anthony was incredibly helpful and professional. The mechanic, Ceasar worked on my Audi and did an excellent job. I would recommend them in lieu of the dealership. I give them a 5 out of 5!

Filed a claim with CarShield Oct. 7, 2024 used AAMCO 1027 E. GUN HILL ROAD BRONX NY 10467 as repair service which works with CarShield. Service Engine Soon Light, first scan they claimed it was the transmission, CarShield paid out $6k for the repair! Aamco held my car for 2 weeks with no repairs made! No rental from CarShield. Then they replaced the transmission in 2 days, I paid $841 out of pocket. Had the car for 2 days and Service Engine Soon light back on! Came in to Aamco again, they scan car 2nd time and now it’s a Mass Flow Air Sensor, Charged me $100 over Nissan’s price of $215.63 + $240 labor + $48 tax $600 total. Picked up car Friday 11/1/24 a day later 11/3/24 Service Engine Soon light back on! Putting a bandage over the issue to make me spend more money instead of actually fixing the car! Now I have to go to another mechanic and pay more fees to get the car repaired. CarShield now blaming Aamco. Worse experience I have ever had! Now I’m back where I started and car still not repaired!

Cesar was Great. He saw that I was in a rush and took care of me right away. He checked the issue I had reported, which was not really an issue. He was very honest and me having trust with those I give business to is very important. Had I gone elsewhere they would have found something to charge me for. I was referred to this location by a friend and I am extremely happy with their honest and swift service provided. This will be my new mechanic.

The level of customer service from Anthony, Seward and the rest of the crew is unmatched. I came to this shop after reading all the great reviews and they did not disappoint, in fact they exceeded my expectations. I was presently surprised that they are more than transmission specialists and can tackle most if not all of your automotive service and repair needs. They regularly provided me with updates while the car was in the shop and they work quickly and efficiently to return my vehicle in great working order. I received a flyer in the mail spoke with someone at the location. After our chat I chose to bring my vehicle over, drop it off for an oil change. I have to say they made sure I got the service that I needed and called and text when my vehicle was ready. What they did not know is that I am looking for a home for my vehicle as far as service and I will be back. There was no pressure and so easy as a woman I need that! Thank you!

I go here because of bad customer care and bad experience in the Yonkers location. I was seeking to do an oil change on my Cadillac in which needs an oil change (asap) and also was a quarter less, Instead, the person on that location send me 15 miles away from Yonkers to the Bronx location. I call Anthony (manager) to explain the situation that was giving me such anxiety and stress. Anthony help me professionally and very helpful matter,(no worries or hassle ) waiting for me, at my arrival I feel protected because he has given me confidence on the matter. All personal here are very respectful and kind. I will consider recommending this place to anyone. Is a five-star ✨ location. Thank you, Anthony and the rest of your workers. The service was friendly the receptionist was direct and to-the-point the ability to do good work is there but the sad part is that they seem to be more driven buybeing excessively compensated for simple work I felt they exaggerated issues to justify cost. the first repair was for the gas pump the second repair was for the gas tank hose I had to pay for both repairs 😣.
