I came in for my inspection, oil change, and light replacement, and the entire process was fast, smooth, and completely stress free. Ali and Ray were knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to explain everything clearly. No pressure, no upselling, just straightforward service and genuine care for their customers. The work was done efficiently, the pricing was fair, and the quality was excellent. It’s rare to find a shop where you actually feel confident leaving your car, but this place truly delivers. BEWARE THESE ARE SCAMMERS! Especially if you’re a woman look out! because they’ll think you’re dumb enough to do what they say. I came in with an engine light P0171 and a P0420 code. First they tell me they need to do a smoke test, but then they proceeded to jack up the car and tell me for $600 they can weld a piece after the exhaust and before the catalytic converter and clean the converter, the guy said “it will definitely pass”. Meanwhile they never did the smoke test. Come to find out from another car mechanic that these guys were actually trying to put an o2 spacer which is ILLEGAL. Trying to charge me $600 to do shabby work. And these guys charged me $50 for a diagnostic when they lied to me. Never coming here again. Update and reply to owner: So now you’re calling me a liar because I heard y’all say it will definitely fix it. Don’t come on here talking about some 70-80%. I was gonna spend $600 for it maybe to pass?? That’s worse. And I ain’t complaining about the price of the $50 charge, it’s the principle.

Bruce Auto Shop took care of me from start to finish. I came in for brakes, new headlights, and a NYS inspection, and they made the whole process easy. Quick turnaround, fair pricing, and they didn’t try to upsell me on anything I didn’t need. Highly recommend.

Great Auto Shop, had a check engine light, that just didn’t want to stay off and of course it was around the time I needed an inspection, so it was a bit aggravating. But after a diagnosis and a couple driving cycles, Ray and his crew were able to help me out in time for me to pass my inspection. No check engine light. Thanks, appreciate the help.

Auto techs were skipping over me when I had been there for quite some time. Not appreciated. More than one customer was serviced before I was. Also not very pleasant and attitude was to another level.

I bring my Honda Odyssey often for service. Let me tell you... TJEY ARE THE BEST!!! Honest, caring and compassionate! I know this because I had something supposed to be done but at the end they said I don't really need it. ( they could have said I needed the service) from thousands it become several hundreds ! Went for a car inspection. It was fine. We went on a Friday afternoon and it took about 30 mins which wasn't bad since it was a last minuteappointment. Staff was ok. No issues. Not sure if we'd return for any other work. We'll see. Seems a little pricey for what we asked about (routine maintenance) but we'll decide once we shop around a bit.

Wahab was great to work with on a claim. The shop had that reliable small business feel — responsive, straightforward, and focused on getting the job done right. Everything went smoothly, and I’d be glad to work together again.

I had an electrical issue with my car that was giving me a major headache, and after visiting a few places with no real fix, I finally brought it to bruce’s car care , I’m so glad I did! They diagnosed the problem quickly, explained everything clearly, and had it fixed faster than I expected. The staff was professional, honest, and really seemed to know their stuff. My car has been running perfectly ever since. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for reliable, knowledgeable mechanics—especially for electrical issues!

I've NEVER gave anything on Google a 5⭐️ but they deserve it ! I came for a state inspection & they were quick informative professional and attentive. I can't rate them for anything else but for the services I recieved. I have an electric car & they were so amazed about my car even asked to take pictures of it. I brought my car here 2 times and had great customer service. But I'm not sure why it came back with all this stuff on it. I only got my trunk and bumper fixed. Someone could of whipped it off. I realized this was on my car after I drove off.

cannot recommend this mechanic shop enough. 😍 Their prices are very fair, unlike some other shady mechanics who overcharge🙄!! Ali and Ray are honest guys who you can trust - they don't try to nickel and dime you or do unnecessary repairs. And this is exactly what I wanted!!! Coming here for years I needed front end work along with two tires and the price was reasonable and work was done quick with no issues make sure you ask for Ray. I’ve never had a bad experience. Quick and fast inspections also!

I recently visited Bruce AUTO CENTER off boston rd in the Bronx, NY, to have my fuel tank removed and cleaned, as well as getting my spark plugs changed. The experience was a mix of good and not-so-good moments. Initially, a more experienced mechanic was working on my car, which gave me confidence in their ability. He disassembled and carefully checked everything, ensuring a thorough inspection. However, during the process, he was replaced with an inexperienced mechanic who seemed eager to work on my vehicle. While enthusiasm is great, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned about the switch. The new mechanic was advised to take my vehicle to the back for further work. Unfortunately, upon getting my car back, I immediately noticed horrible scratches on the exterior. It was evident that the mishap occurred during the replacement of the spark plugs, which was quite disappointing. In addition, after paying I had to wait another 45min for the mechanic to finish praying before he could add fuel in the tank. subsequently, I realize that they had left screws outside of the motor cover. So I had to return back to the shop to have them find some screws to put the motor cover back on the motor. The shop staff was apologetic and offered to fix the scratches at another one of their shops. However, I felt uncomfortable with the idea of letting them handle the repairs, especially considering my truck is less than 3 years old. I may have to involve my attorney and insurance to address the issue properly. Overall, I appreciated the initial expertise and thoroughness displayed by the first mechanic. However, the unfortunate mishap and the subsequent offer to fix it in another shop leave me with mixed feelings about my experience at Bruce Autocenter. Hopefully, the situation can be resolved amicably, and future customers won't encounter similar issues.

Just bring in you’re car ask for Ray, tell him what’s wrong he’ll get it done. If you don’t have the time just drop it off they will call you wen it’s done but if you’re like me I get there early cause they do get busy I actually step back and watch him and his mechanic’s go to work. LOL just make sure to get an estimate set price with Ali, so you won’t be surprised at the end.

Ray helped me and gave me the best service possible! I’ve been getting my inspections and work done here for years now. I recommend this place to anyone that owns a vehicle !

Great service. Fast. Friendly and fair. I've been here 2 days in a row for 2 different things and both times they got me fixed and legit. I'm actually here now getting my rear brakes changed for my inspection. Yesterday, I came to get my thermometer changed. I only waited an hour and it was complete and no more check engine light. They also put my windshield wipers on for me. Today, I had to drive around more and come back and even tho busy they were attentive and on point. I'm bringing my car here from now on. As a woman these things can be uncomfy and the people try to over charge you but they didn't . Both times he gave me fair prices. Im overly satisfied. 💪🏾❤
