Fred has alot of sales man talk which he doesn't know much about mechanic tjey will give you all kinds of excuses of fixing on your car which they did a tranmission for me and never even fixed the problem I had to come 9 times now I have to go to court needed to get my money back there the worst sad to say they talk a good game recommend anyone there prices are good that's why customer go which was me but service they don't have the man power to keep up on demand also cars in the neighborhood are always getting broken into so be careful if leaving your car with them if it's busy

Just got my ford Expedition from NY1 transmission! My transmission (perfect) and what I really love the most is that (Freddy) very sweet and professional! He kept me informed about my vehicle and what needed to be done! I recommend NY1 transmission to anyone! Freddie did a great job! Our transmission was messed up and with an old car (2002 Mitsubishi Montero) at least 3 other mechanics in the city refused to touch it. But Freddie did a great job and the car is riding smoothly.

These guys are a joke!! CANT BE TRUSTED!! Went here for my transmission to be replaced paid $2900 when I arrived they told me I would need a new hybrid battery also etc $2000 (of course) got in and couldn’t drive my car out the garage I knew something was off had someone pick up my car turns out they had turned off my breaker on the hybrid battery and where hoping I wouldn’t know and would charge me $2000 for a ‘new’ one. Such a shame to take advantage to people

Big thanks to the whole staff. They got my car in and did exactly what I needed to fix my driveshaft issues. I initially thought it would be a 1 day job but was told it wouldn't be ready until the final day, which didn't bother me because the communication was open and efficient. Came to pick the car up and my problem has been solved. Nothing but respect for these guys and I will be back when I need their services.

Wow gotta say been going to these guys for 3 months now and I love the work they do, its amazing. They work fast but very efficient. They fixed my transmission a week, fixed my wheel hub and bearings within a few hours also. I spoke to Fred and I had a messed up canister purge valve and he told me he rather change the whole thing than fix the small issue because he rather fixes it all in one shot than coming back to fix the same issue again. WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMENED!!!!!

Freddy and NY1 took care of the transmission rebuild on my 2000 Honda Accord and was very honest about work needing to done and timeline. Kept me updated throughout the process and also cleared any additional work with me before doing so. I had my car back in a week and it drives like new. Don’t hesitate to talk to Freddy if you need transmission work. I’ll be returning to get some last few other repairs done.

Buyer beware, Two years ago I was referred to this old-school repair shop, where On one hand you have Fred who Is the Customer service manager Who conduct himself professionally, Marty can be disrespectful and unprofessionals, they take short cuts and provide inferior service and product and lie about the parts that were supposed to be repaired or replaced. I trusted this business with my vehicle that transports not only myself by my children to from work in school and within nine months the Transmission started to slip and eventually failed. In the end, I had to take it to the GMC dealership where you have certified mechanics who know what they’re doing and will stand behind their product for three years plus as opposed to the 12 month 12,000 mile warranty that this business provides. While the prices there may seem to be fair, remember you get what you pay for. In the end, I had to replace my transmission completely because of the damage that was done by this business to my transmission.

I am so glad I found a New York one transmissions, very honest people, step-by-step, guidance and the mechanics are amazing. I recommend this place 100%.

I've gone to NY1 twice -- once for a transmission rebuild and once for a steering issue. In both cases, they were very quick and responsive, taking time to explain the repair. I also watched him call several places to find the cheapest used steering column in the area, saving me at least $500. Car drives great!

[Update] the transmission broke down after 7 months of the service. I highly recommend this place to everybody!! My car had to replace the transmission. And I tried to find a quote for that around NY and Long Island. Finally I found this shop and I called. Marty gave me very clear view what I need to pay and how long does it take. And he made it. There was no hidden cost at all. Also Marty is a kind and friendly man. When I need a car during fix my car, he let me use his vehicle. That is not easy to do as you know. He is such a generous and trustable man. I have very good experience with him. And he understands that clients want to pay less but treat their car well and he does so. Everything was clear. Now my car is almost new condition -2000yr VW Beeltle my car- and run very well. I might pay more than 3,000 dollars to fix my car. I save my money with him. If you want to find reasonable price and nice car experts to handle your car, this is the right place. I definitely recommend to my friends to go up there! I hope you to have a wise choice! ITS STEVE!!! I brought my Nissan Rogue to these guys and Freddy the manager helped me through everything, filed a warranty claim to replace transmission. It was done in 2 days. Very honest people. Good people. Tobi the mechanic is the best. Keep up great works guys! 👍💪🏻

This place is amazing . I got a 2011 bmw 750i and I took it to like 5 different places and they would not work on my car. I took it to to NY1 transmission they were polite and professional. They got me in and got me out. Now my transmission is shifting smoothly. This is the place to go if you want professional work done on your car for a fair price .

I had a great experience at this transmission shop. I was here a few months ago, in June of 2020. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic with my 2010 Suzuki Kizashi, i had several codes and symptoms and in one phone conversation with Marty he gave me an accurate quote and had in depth knowledge of what the issue was. Many other places i had been to had not dealt with this car before as it is a bit rare and quoted hundreds of dollars more - between 400 and 1500 more. Marty and his knowledge specialist had me back on the road in less than 4 days and i have put on about 5,000 trouble free miles since and i got a 1 year warranty where others were only willing to give me 6 months warranty at twice the cost. The next day i had several questions and he answered the phone every time, and even sent someone out to me to assist me with a small problem i was having. Excellent customer service and they work on more than just transmissions. Try this place First!!!

I have a 2005 Infiniti g35x. I had a transmission issue and contacted ny1 transmissions. Spoke with Freddy super professional and got right to my issues with my car . Brought my car in and recieved it back in a couple of days . Ny1 transmissions fixed my problem and got my car running great. Thank you Fred and thank you Marty for making me feel comfortable at the shop and ofcourse hooking up my car. I strongly recommend ny1 transmissions !

Their customer service is top notch. Thoroughly explained what was needed and what it would cost. Worked with my warranty company, to minimize my headaches. Provide better prices and service than the "dealer ". Fred is top notch, professional, courteous. THIS is my transmission shop from now on.

My husband and I appreciated the quality of customer care and service from Fred. He was patient and informative when answering our questions. Fred made us feel comfortable in our decision to trust the team (Felix) to work on our vehicle. Marty was pleasant and professional too. They were rapid and efficient in fixing our car, we received our car sooner than the date they stated. After taking it for a test drive we were good to go. I will still continue to monitor the car but it drives way better than when we brought the car in. Its shifts and reverses. One incentive to our decision making is the warranty they offer which is included with the work being done, so if anything arises we can bring it back, but hopefully that wont be the case. My daughters 2001 Toyota Corolla started having a transmission shifting issue not shortly after she bought it used. The car has 177,000 miles on it and remarkably, still very economical on gas. We took a chance on repairing the transmission based on the advice of my brother who is a die-hard Toyota Corolla fan. I searched online for transmission repair shops, namely ones with good or decent reviews. I came across NY1 Transmissions and found a bunch of reviews touting it as a good choice for transmission repair. I reached out to few car people I know and they recommended rebuilding it and to not purchase a used transmission since you never what problems might arise after the install. I did some more research and came across some of NY1 Transmissions you-tube videos and was impressed. Taking a chance since my daughter wanted the car fixed asap, I went to NY1 and spoke with Freddy and the transmission repair person. I liked what I heard and the price they quoted was fair. I left the Corolla with them on an early Saturday afternoon and I had it back by Thursday morning. The job was done technically, in three days (impressive) and as I arrived to pick up the car, was hoping the rebuild went well. Freddy reassured me the repair went well and the Corolla was fixed. I test drove it that same day and the car shifted smoothly. It has been almost a month now since my daughter has been driving the car and she states no problems with the shifting at all. The car is running great. I believe they did a good job on the transmission repair and I hope to not be disappointed in the near future or even a few years from now. It is also noteworthy that NY1 Transmissons gives a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty to back up their work. Kudos to them for a job well done! Update: It's been over 3 months and the transmission is still shifting smooth as butter. NY1 Transmissions also did a valve cover gasket replacement on the Corolla for a good price too. I've been going to Marty for almost 2 years and he is one of the nicest people I know and I am glad to have him and his team work, on my car. They service the car fast and so far I have not had any issues. Prices are reasonable and I recommend anyone who has trouble with their cars to go out and check ot out. I just finished picking up my 2001 Honda because my brakes were, pretty much done and I had dropped it off yesterday. They have changed my timing belt… rotors.. My car has, needed work and anything that has been wrong they have been able to fix w.o any problems. Thank you guys

My truck started acting up and looked like got a transmission prob, found NY1 transmission online so thought of giving it a try. It was my 1st time dealing with NY1 transmission and Marty ( Manager) is reliable and was very professional. I was also given all my broken parts including Valve Body upon asking which was really good for customer point of view. Normally which is little difficult to get back from other repair shops. Marty, gave all warranties paper work for work done on my transmission including Valve body warranty from Nissan for my records. I really Appreciate it. So far I have no complains and I wish him Best of luck.

Great customer service and transmission work. I called the shop, spoke with Marty who explained what they're going to do and quoted a fair price to rebuild the transmission of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Because I wasn't with the AAA tow truck, Marty paid them the tolls when they delivered the vehicle on Thursday and finished the rebuild work on Saturday! Highly recommend the shop, job well done, Marty is old school and personable.

I cannot say enough about NY1 transmission. My overall experience with this shop was beyond my expectation. I knew I needed a major transmission and Marty (owner) quoted me a very fair price to rebuilt my transmission. He also replaced a broken windshield reservoir motor for reasonable fee. There were no unpleasant surprises with cost and the car was done in 2 days. The shop is clean and the mechanics were friendly and professional. The CRV is humming along nicely and the transmission job came with a 12000, 1 year warranty. Top notch all around... Thanks Marty

First off - customer service was TOP NOTCH. I came in, described my problem (noticed a transmission leak) and Marty was super friendly and took a look. He had is guys inspect the vehicle, and called me later in the day to give me a summary of the work that needed to be done, as well as the cost. He pointed out that there was, in addition to the transmission leak, a small oil leak that probably should be addressed. He wasn't pushy about getting the small oil leak done, which I appreciated because to me that's the sign of an honest mechanic - one who will tell you what's urgent and what isn't. I'm someone who used to work on his own car a lot, so I know when a mechanic is BS-ing me. But now I live in the city and don't have a garage - and I can tell you, their diagnosis was fair and completely accurate. He gave me a summary of the work order and cost for each issue and the work was done. I came in to pick up my car a few days later, and it was good as new. He took me over to the car, showed the locations of repair and summarized everything done. They even cleaned my engine bay for me! When it came time to pay, it was EXACTLY what they said it would be, no surprises. It was very reasonable in cost, and I would not hesitate at all to bring my car back there for any necessary repairs. Thanks Marty!

I'm so happy that I stumbled onto google and found this shop in Bronx! Marty is fair stand up gentleman that knows how to treat his customers. I was having transmission problem with my 02 Honda accord, not a problem for these guys, I got a great price from Marty, a great warranty and in two days my car was ready to go, feeling just as powerful and responsive as it did before the tranny started slipping and breaking down. I contacted Marty and he was honest from the beginning. People hear that you drive a Range Rover and try to immediately rob you but not Marty. Not only did he offer the best price and service he surpassed all other offers and warranties to repair my vehicle. He showed me around the shop and I met the mechanics explained the process and the work and needless to say my car is running like brand new again.
