What clients say about Fulton Fish Market Cooperative in Bronx (NY)

Now, if you want fresh fish at a great price, right out of the water, come here. Everyone is friendly and respectful. The warehouse is big, and there are a lot of vendors to pick from, but Blue Ribbon Fish Co., INC, at unit 67, is the best. Give the handsome men there a friendly hello and order to your heart's content. Stop and make sure you say hi to Joshua. Great work, MEN!

Great place for seafood with a very good selection and quality. Everything is fresh, prices are reasonable, and the staff is helpful and professional. The service is efficient, unloading and pickup are quick, and the overall experience is smooth. Customer service is solid, people know what they’re doing, and the market is well organized. Definitely a reliable place if you’re looking for fresh fish and good service. Would recommend.

Im soooo happy I went with my gut I will only order from Fulton going forward the prices are soooo much cheaper than other sites or even supermarkets Thank you Fulton!!!

It was our first time and we will be regular my husband really enjoyed the smoked trout, caviar and the pastrami salmon. Everything arrived frozen and well packaged! I needed to tantalize his taste buds and this variety did not fail.

Best fish market, customer service is on point and they have just about any fish you are looking for. Prices are good as well. I travel from PA to BK just for the fish and of course to say hello to the employees.

I don’t live in NY but ordered from here online to ship to Ohio. Fantastic experience and product. The king salmon was absolutely delicious and very fresh

Not only is the fish fresh and the selection stupendous, the vendors were very kind and patient with me and my friends despite us not knowing how the market worked and clearly being a little out of our depth. Most of the vendors do cater to wholesale/restaurant purchasing but tbh now that I know, I'll just plan to buy more in bulk next time! Walked away with a side of salmon and two pounds of shrimp for $39 I don't know anywhere else in New York that you can do that.

Amazing customer service. I reached out to ask a question on their Instagram page and received an immediate response to my question. I placed my order online and everything went like clockwork. My order arrived on time and packaged well. I’m so happy with the service. Definitely will be ordering again. Recommend: Yes

Wonderful first time experience. The king crab legs were meaty and obviously very fresh. Product arrived fully frozen and on the promised delivery date. Customer service was extremely polite, patient and helpful. Thank you for making our special evening a huge success!

There is nothing better to eat than a fresh fish. FFMC is where you go to get it! It's the right place to get one big fish to feed 5-25 people, a bag of Oysters or even a box of shrimp. I m opening a restaurant soon in ridgewood NJ and 75% of my decision is based on the fact that I have access FFMC. A big thank you to all of those hard working people that provide this service to our community. THANK YOU fish vendors, sales men, guys on the forklifts and all the fishermen!

This was one of the best purchases that I’ve made in awhile. On a whim, I ordered two dozen Kumamoto Oysters as a surprise for my mom’s 73rd birthday. They did not disappoint. Granted, they were expensive but well worth the price and deliciousness. The shipping was overnight priority and they came well insulate via FedEx. These come live (as do all of their shellfish/fish/meat, not frozen) and needed to be shucked. I admittedly forgot about the shucking part but in my usual risky fashion, a paring knife did the trick. They were absolutely delicious. Hands down the best Oysters that my mom has ever had and they were gone in about 30 minutes. This is a gem that I’ll definitely be ordering from again!

Very fresh seafood well worth the 2am trip to Bronx. Just prepare for slightly bumpy road / road construction nearby. This is a busy wholesale market with lots of fork truck traffic. Big cooler / bag + cash for best deal.

Great selection of seafood and many friendly people working there. Be careful walking around with many fork lifts speeding around constantly.

It was a fun experience with a very intense vibe. As a regular shopper, it will cost $7 per vehicle and you can turn onto Food Center Drive to access parking. It’s quite busy before closing if you go at 6 am because everyone is closing down their shops. Forklifts drive quite fast and recklessly so it is required to wear closed toed shoes. I recommend wearing thicker shoes that you don’t mind getting wet because there are frequently fish water puddles. They usually either sell in cases usually or for a certain amount of pounds (i.e. lbs of scallops, 10 lbs of cod).

It was an amazing experience to visit The New Fulton Fish Market. There is mostly wholesale for restaurant owners, but a few vendors do sell their seafood individually. The space is really bright and wide inside and there are cars moving around fast, so you should be careful walking on the pedestrian walkway. The market is open from 2am to 7am Monday through Friday. The parking is $7. Be expected to wait in the car for a little bit if you arrive close to 2am. However, the cars do move fast enough to enter the market. We ended up getting scallops, oyster, shrimps and uni. We tried to cook everything the next day and they all tasted very fresh. We will probably visit again soon to try their fish, but firstly we need to find more friends to share with us lol

The Fulton Fish market has moved to the Bronx and it looks like this building is going t be demolished. It is no longer in use so there is nothing to see or to do over there. I took these pictyres just to have them before the building gets destroyed.

Good fish , great quality. The Sashimi grade Tuna is the most interesting deal I think. Dont buy the smoked salmon, poor quality even if you think its a good deal, its not. Only cash.

This place is right across the water from Rikers Island and is in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. You pay $7.00 to get in for parking and there is lots of it. Things to watch out for: The fish market is just that. A busy place that's open Monday through Friday from 1am to 7am. Trucks must be unloaded and fish is being bought and sold. Walk only on the pedestrian paths because there are forklifts going in and out of the market to trucks being unloaded. Be alert and aware of your surroundings because of all the forklifts zooming by. Total nonsense of rude people. I talked to 5 seafood wholesalers and they treated me very very well. If I took a photo of the name of the company and posted it, it's because I recommend them. There is a fish that I saw that I am a new fan of but I wont mention it. I dont want the price to go up. Go see my guy Josh at Caleb Haley at Unit 110 where they have everything and he patiently explained how the fish market works. I'll never buy seafood from Whole Foods again. Real talk.

Pros - 1. freshest fish and sea food you can find !! I have never seen fish this fresh in any grocery store/super market or even Asian/Korean stores. 2. Most stores sell you by pound and not necessarily expect you to buy the whole box (at times 80 lbs of fish in a box) 3. Everyone at the store and the fork lift operators and very friendly and never rush you and let you take your own time to explore and look around and check it out and will answer all your questions. Cons - 1. Prices are not displayed explicitly - I am guessing this is partly due to supply/demand and seasonal changes and the bidding and so on. It would be convenient to check out the fish, without asking how much is this for every thing you find. 2. $7 entry fee per car. 3. Most stores charge 3% extra for credit card (some stores debit card also) transactions. Tips - 1. Go early if you want the fish you would like. 2. If you find something you really really like, before looking around buy it ! Chances are, by the time you come back after looking around, it’s gone !! :) 3. Even if you don’t find something outside, ask the guys- at times they have it inside. 4. Not all fish are fresh, some are frozen and even better some are individually portioned and frozen which works out great if you have a small family and big freezer. 5. Many individual families (not necessarily who owns business / restaurants) do come to buy fish here.

Wholesale only. Only vendors with ice tables will sell per pound, but usually at a minimum. Anything in boxes is bulk. Come caffeinated, but don't expect much explanation. Bring wipes for hands or gloves since you should be hands on with the fish!

Go from 1 am to 7 am week days for the best quality fish in cheap. Can buy as case or loose.

Definitely a good experience to check out this market . Fresh and cheap seafood. This place is huge and everyone are so friendly. I was there at 5am and nothing much left :)

So big and so cold inside. You need jacket to keep warm. There are so many kinds of fish we cannot see in Japan. It’s only about 30 min drive from UN.

This is the 2nd largest fish market in the world and the best show in the New York City area. It’s free to see and you can purchase world class fish at wholesale prices. You can also watch some of the best fish mongers in the world filet giant tuna. It’s worth going in the middle of the night. Make sure to walk all around and take your GoPro or DSLR! I love this market and the amazing people who work there and the spectacular fish they sell!
