My Mom and I went in to replace her car battery yesterday, and was assisted by an extremely helpful gentleman by the name of Carroll. He walked my mother through the process step by step and made sure it was done correctly. 5 star experience from Carroll!
My son went in to see if they could run a diagnostic for a slip indicator staying on. He was patient while waiting, and an older man working behind the counter copped an attitude about the request to hook up a diagnostic device. Handed the device to him, and told him to do it himself. A simple sorry I can’t get to you right now or our device doesn’t check for the slip indicator. He got a error message. What happened to customer service?
Asked for a battery test, the guy behind the counter tells me to pop my hood and he'll be right out. I pop the hood and wait outside 10 minutes. Come back in. He says ok he's coming. He comes out and can't get a reading because intake is in the way of the negative terminal. He needs to take that off to get to the terminal. I ask him how long it will take him and he says it will be ready in 45 minutes. I say no problem I'll go to lunch and come back. I come back at 2pm. I ask him has he gotten a reading on it? He just says "Nah." I go borrow a tester from a buddy and test the battery myself in 30 seconds. I did not have to remove anything to get to the terminal.
I stopped by a month ago because I suspected that my car battery was going bad. Carroll helped test my old battery and install a new battery. Not only did he do a fantastic job, he was also incredibly friendly and kind. I am usually nervous about dealing with car issues because I am scared of getting taken advantage of. However, Carroll really put my mind at ease. He explained each step along the way to help me understand what he was doing. It was such a great experience!
Had a stellar experience at this location, Jake was absolutely kind and thoughtful to my vehicles improvements and safety. I needed some updated parts for a new used car and he took extra time to assist me with the process. We always hope that employees of automotive shops have at least a cursory knowledge of vehicles, but that’s sometimes not the case! Jake demonstrated a wide range of insight and was quick to get me back on the road. I highly recommend this location and to ask for Jake if you’re being helped.

Carroll is the best!! My battery had finally fallen to the corrosion as it does around this cold season. This guy was a huge help in getting my car back on the road. He went through a lot of crap to put it lightly, when he could’ve just as easily told me I would have to go to a mechanic. I wish I had cash for him that night but this is the next best thing in my book.

My battery was failing and I took my car here. Opening the hood my battery was heavily corroded, I needed a replacement and in a time pinch. Carroll took a look at the battery, and seeing I was stranded went to great lengths to help me out. He cleaned the leads to the battery and the mounting parts, and installed a new battery with silicone gel and protectors to prevent future corrosion problems. Carroll was extremely knowledgeable about the available products giving recommendations on trade offs of different batteries. I highly recommend speaking to Carroll for your car part needs as he was generously helpful and very good at what he does.
Carroll was so great! He did not make me feel dumb for not knowing basic car stuff. He was so awesome in helping me find the best products for my car. Such a genuine guy. He explained every step to me. He gave me great maintenance advice as well for the future! He installed my battery with ease, even in the cold weather!
Mike, David and Abdul were awesome! Very nice and helpful. They tested and sold me a battery for my Lamborghini gallardo which I do understand for liability issues they could not install which is a bummer, they did say they can put on on my GTR so will definitely be back! Thanks again guys

Mediocre at best. The DieHard battery warranty is crap. They can't find my phone number so basically I have no warranty. I can prove I owed the vehicle the entire time that battery has been in existence but they're worried I'm trying to rip them off. Typically BS to get you spending more.

I had a great experience at the Short Pump Advance Auto location! When I rushed in a little over an hour before closing because my car battery had died, Carroll was still extremely helpful and checked and replaced my battery. He walked me through all the steps and educated me on what to look out for in the future when my battery starts running out again and ways I can make sure I preserve the battery as long as I can.

I originally went to another advanced auto parts location to pick up a battery for my Jeep Renegade and then it started pouring down raining so they were unable to switch it for me. Later that evening once it cleared, I located the short pump location that was nearest to me. When I first went in, I was greeted by an older male who had no intention of helping me at all. He took my information, looked up my receipt and said he couldn’t help (without even looking at my battery). Quickly, Joseph hopped in, read the notes in the system and although it was beyond their scope of work, he was willing to at least look at my battery for me. He pulled his tool cart outside and replaced my battery. He even went above and beyond by telling me that my battery requires to be reset and advised to see a mechanic. Joseph was amazing and super helpful. If it weren’t for him, my kids and I would’ve been stranded on the side of the road. People like him are the reason customers continue to come into the store and receive great customer service. Thanks again Joseph for all your hard work and efforts!

Had to get a brand new battery and Carroll helped me out. He was a huge help, able to test my battery, and provide a recommendation for a replacement battery inside my budget, but that would also get the job done for my truck. Service was excellent! It was a little bit busy when I arrived, but Carroll helped test my battery, find a good replacement, and replaced it very expeditiously! All while having a great conversation (and teaching me new things!). I’ll be back! :)
