I got into an accident on Saturday and picked up my car Monday morning due to them being closed on weekends. I got charged 525.30, way to expensive I do not recommend their services.

Actually just watched someone trying to drop a car off in these tow trucks struggle for 8 mins, the car was bouncing on the tow truck, he had the rear end up in the air while the front was on the ground like it was actually crazy. He then tried getting in and out of the tow truck hitting the gas to try and let the car drop a few times. I would NEVER use this place it was a comedy show to say the least.

Seibert's Towing came to my house and towed a rental car out of my driveway. When called the next morning after watching the ring camera they said the police said it was a traffic stop. I informed them it was not a traffic stop and asked could I receive my belongings out of the vehicle. They informed me that I couldn’t the rental company had to come pick it up. The rental company picked up the rental car and none of my child personal items are in the vehicle which is mind blowing to me.

Towest my car during street cleaning -- and caused THOUSANDS worth of damage to the car. I'm a broke single mom. Real nice.

I bid on a car at their auction today and won the bid. They sent me a bill of sale and everything then told me I didn’t win the car it was a glitch in the system. I advised everyone to be aware of this. They gave the vehicle to another bidder and told me it was nothing they could do. This is disappointing.

1 star because I can't put 0. The tow driver at least admitted to the manager that he damaged my Macan GTS when he dropped it off the bed of the truck and allowed the front fascia to slam onto the edge of the truck bed.. I'd like to see their faces when they see the repair bill is going to cost them nearly 10x what the tow earned them. They also said "there's no way we damaged the wheel." But clearly there's a linear (not curved) yellow streak across my tire from them dragging it across the curb paint. That is right next to the new scratches on my black wheels making it VERY obvious that they were also at fault.

These guys literally stole my car from where I park outside my home, with 0 signage posted, and charged me for it. When I went to get my car I found out they broke my boat rack as well

Let's be real. No one wants to end up here. At the behest of the city they often tow vehicles from areas that are not supposed to be towed with no notice, generally during street cleanings or special events. Staff is almost always professional and nice though. Here's what you absolutely need to know tho: 1. Bring cash if you can. They don't tell you on the phone but it's an extra 3% to use a card. They don't take check. 2. The info they give you to contest the ticket is bogus. City hall insists you have to come in person and they aren't clear about where. Consider going to your local precinct or no emergency line and asking to speak to a seargent or luitenant so there's a record of the complaint.

Kiera is very nice Sieberts is the place where the cops tow your car so of course they have crazy fees but treat the workers with respect they have to deal with your attitude of how unfair it is to you. it’s not those lady’s fault. There cool Please be kind to them they do there job very good with a smile.

Zero stars should be an option. Horrendous people conducting fraudulent activity. Overcharged me more than $1000 causing me so many problems with my bank account and couldn’t even take accountability for it and refund me for the original $123 fee to make it right. Towed me where there were no proper signs for street cleaning near where I parked. For the 20 years I’ve lived in Richmond I’ve only heard horror stories about them. Stealing money from working class and poor people. Disgusting business.

I read the review on Siberts. My car was towed there from a car accident and left longer than it should've been and everything went wrong. It felt like my with my health and financially, and these people have been nothing but kind, compassionate working with me as much as they possibly can and I think they're being blamed For a lot of things that the police do and they're just following orders because the reviews that I'm reading and the people that I'm dealing with there's a complete dichotomy That's my experience and I thought it should be shared

If you’re considering using Seibert's Towing, don’t. Run far, far away. This is hands down one of the most unethical and incompetent businesses I’ve ever dealt with. Their practices are not just unprofessional—they are predatory and seem designed to exploit people in already stressful situations. Following an accident, my vehicle was towed by Seibert's Towing. Within three days they filed a lien through the DMV for an unpaid bill. Let me be clear: they made absolutely no effort to contact me, the vehicle owner, or my insurance company to arrange payment before slapping a lien on the car. It’s clear this is a deliberate tactic to extort money from people who are already vulnerable. On November 20, 2024, I paid the bill in full. At that time, I also paid them to re-tow the vehicle to a repair facility. You’d think that after taking my money—twice—they’d follow through with the job, right? Wrong. It’s now six days later (November 26th), and my vehicle is still sitting exactly where it was. Despite making multiple phone calls, I’ve been met with nothing but excuses and empty promises. Every time I call, its more time on hold and more excuses. Here we are, days later, and they still haven’t bothered to move it. It’s blatant disregard for their obligations. Seibert's Towing is exceptionally bad at their job. But it’s not just incompetence—it’s greed. From their predatory lien practices to their failure to deliver on paid services, it’s clear this company is only interested in grabbing as much money as they can from people who have no choice but to deal with them. TLDR; Do yourself a favor: avoid this business at all costs. They are unreliable, unethical, and will happily exploit you for every penny they can get. If you find yourself forced to deal with them, be prepared for frustration, delays, and a complete lack of professionalism. Final Thoughts: Seibert's Towing is a disgrace to their industry. Stay far away.

After an accident cleanup: Ridiculous business practice of establishing a lien through the DMV on a towed vehicle after 72 hours for unpaid bill without attempting to contact anyone (owner or insurance company) to pay the bill. Lien threatens that the vehicle will be sold at auction to pay the unpaid bill. This occurs 72 hours without even attempting to provide a bill to the owner or the insurance company.

They tow your vehicle for street cleaning when there are no proper signs posted for the day they tow you on. I was towed on a Wednesday with no Wednesday signs posted anywhere. I think this is not just negligence but intentional.

They towed my car despite it not being the listed date my street was supposed to be swept. The street had been previously cleaned within the the past few months. This wasn't supposed to happen. Beware.

They are crooked and will attempt to steal your car by towing your vehicle and then charging more in impound fees than the car is worth. If you push back on this, they will offer to transfer the car to their ownership for a small fee, to avoid the thousands in impound fees they applied. Total scam. Total crooks.

Why anyone would rate a towing company anything more than 1 star is beyond me. $120 just because I didn't see the street cleaning sign and $50 more per day because I don't have the transportation to get there nor the funds to bail my vehicle out. Really lovely situation when you're unemployed and can't even afford to feed yourself. Just my luck, I guess. These people are leaches and should feel absolutely disgusted with themselves for offering such a horrible service.

I was skeptical about this place after reading the reviews on here. However, my experience with them went fine. My car got towed due to street cleaning and I forgot to move it. If you're in the same situation do this: 1. Call them and confirm your car is there 2. Pay with cash when you get there (from reading the reviews of people's bank information getting stolen I didn't want to take a chance with this). You do that you'll be fine. The representative I talked to was cordial and once I got there it was easy to get my car returned to me. Only reason I gave 3 stars and not 5 is because it was difficult finding out from the City of Richmond if they had my car or not. They ended up giving me Seibert's number and i called them and they confirmed pretty quickly.

My vehicle was involved in an accident and RPD impounded my vehicle. Once I was able to get the insurance company to release the vehicle I went to retrieve my personal items and I was missing a license plate. I spoke to the front desk clerks and they treated me as if it was my fault the plate was missing. I was feed some textbook excuse as to what happened to the plate and never received an apology or even a small bit of accountability for the issue. I wish the City of Richmond would contract a new company for their impounds.

Horrible. 10/10 do not recommend. Car was stolen and towed here. A week and a half after they “needed to move two cars”to allow the process to continue and NOTHING. Clearly they don’t put their customers needs first so it makes you wonder…what are they putting first? Food for thought.

Seibert's Steals. Take photos of the interior and exterior of your car, they are known to grab items. Never pay with a card. Skimming card data is a risk here. They have a functional monopoly so if you do have to go here, exercise caution. The employees are notoriously abusive. Record everything (discreetly). This is for your own safety. Most of the time, they will not confirm whether or not they have your vehicle on the lot. They have a scam where they enter your license wrong and deny that you gave them the correct information in order to increase their lot fees. You should go in person to confirm if they stole your car. If they want your car, they will find a way to keep it. In most cases going to a lawyer or legal aid is safer than going to the lot. Do not drink water from the location. Do not stay longer than is necessary. The company maintains a large-scale pseudo-legal auto-theft operation and acts like a gang. They have little tolerance for questions or corrections.

They have a driver wait at the 7/11 of w grace street for people to park there and walk across the street, they towed my car in the three minutes i was gone, took no picture, didnt call me or the police until the next day, didnt pick up the phone, people catch him towing their cars and he charges them 300 on the spot to get it back, SUPER illegal, took forever to find them. they are thieves do not support this business if you can avoid it

They damaged the bed of my brand new truck by spilling gasoline and leaving scratches by placing a motorcycle gas tank in it and are refusing to pay for damages. Their operator also suggested I drive a vehicle with no brakes home from a accident.

Like the many other reviews on here my girlfriend's car was towed yesterday with no warning and no signage posted anywhere on the street. When we went to pick it up, I was told I could not stand inside the building with her because I was not there to pick up my own car and the limited space inside was for customers only. Although there was only one other person in line, the lady at the front still demanded I wait outside. They said there was a picture taken near her car of a sign stating there was "street cleaning" and cars were not allowed to park there, yet they were unable to provide any proof of this picture. The business is a scam. Somehow they are allowed to just have random street cleaning and force people to pay money. Should be 0 stars!!

My car went missing last Tuesday, There was a sign for street cleaning that said Thursday, but I called anyway. They said they didn’t have my car. I filed a police report, and called again. Still didn’t have my car. Called for the next 3 days just to make sure. Still nothing so I show up just to REALLY make sure and still, they don’t have it. It’s reported stolen so I deal with it and all the stress that comes with it. 6 days later and guess who calls to let me know my car is in their lot. This terrible company. It’s been in there the entire time. So if your car goes missing, ask to check their lot yourself because chances are they have it.

I guarantee they towed just for fun of it- I never park my car within the street cleaning signs area. This place is absolutely criminal. I always park my car on the same small street, one of the very few spots to park near place in downtown Richmond. 200 dollars that I can barely afford- absolutely criminal.

I truly believe they have family members writing excellent reviews for them. My son was in car accident. They towed the vehicle because the city of Richmond will not allow you to use your own tow service. Which proves to me kick backs but I digress. If they tow your vehicle let them have it. Most time their fees are more then the vehicle is worth. I get people have to make a living but you don't have to steal from folk and have bad business practices to do so. Best way to avoid this place is to pray you don't get towed or just don't park in the city. This is a cash cow for this place to steal from hard working people.

Love the place. Who else would give you the pleasure of thinking that your car was stolen..... OH WAIT!!! It was!!! No signs were posted on the street for cleaning (took pics to prove it). Had to drive and pick up my wife who works downtown (from Glen Allen) to Southside just to pay $105 to get our car back. We took it to court and won. Got our money back. Be prepared take lots of pics. of signs of when towing is enforced ( if there is any) and bring everything you got receipts, citation....everything.
