I bought my Mazda for $600 bucks over a year ago and I have minimal issues.
I used carfax on my phone once I saw a vehicle that stood out for me. The ones I bought had good reports and were luckily in great running condition. I recommend taking a mechanic with you to inspect the car though. I would've but couldn't. If the car battery is dead the dudes in the yard will jump start it for you. Repokar also is a great place to go if you're in need for a quick used car.
