First time coming by today, twice. The process was smooth and easy. The employees were nice and even helped me out since it was my first time. Have plenty of scrap and this will be my go to place.

It’s a smooth process easy quick money but The first time I was paid well for copper but today 10/11/2025 I brought them a refrigerator, a deep freezer, a window a/c , 3 washers and 2 dryers and was paid $80 the scrap app said my price wasn’t valid so I have my receipt also the the very low end so for me unless it’s copper I will no longer be scraping anything else here
Avoid this place! I will never return to Bee Green. They will get over where they can. Everytime we go it’s always something with this place. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
This has been my go to place, but the last 2 times they screwed me over on my bare 1 copper by separating the SAME SOURCE PIECES and arguing sheet/junk prices for a portion of each haul to avoid paying full price. There will not be a third.
I take all of my scrap metal to Bee Green. They get you in & out ,and paid. There's never a line or a long wait either. Facility is always clean and neat. I highly recommend Bee Green Recycling.

Been coming to Bee Green for a few years and have never had a negative issue. Easy, quick and they even took my old crock pot base on my last trip! When I can borrow a trailer, I have 2 water heaters for you guys!
This place is great. The associates are super helpful and courteous. The facility is cleaner than others I've been to and the pull in, pull out is really convenient. And the ATM on the way out awesome! I will 100% be back.
Always friendly service and easy to drive in. Folks help to unload. If you are worried about prices, call ahead to find out pricing especially for more precious metals. Prices fluctuate. Easy location from the city, from Mechanicsville or the east end, and right off I64.
Easy on/off highway. Attentive friendly staff that helps unload scrap items from your vehicle. Computerized scale system. True measured reduction of tare weight, not an 'estimate'. Detailed printout of transaction. Payout via a cash machine. Good prices. It doesn't get any better!
This is such a great place to have for appliance or old metal scrap disposal. I had an old washing machine in my basement that they recycled. I even got $5 for it. The process was really simple. You need an ID and they will have you pull onto a scale to weigh your vehicle. Then someone will help you unload your scrap and then you weigh in again. You'll get a receipt for any money from your scrap. Location is close to downtown and the staff was friendly. It was a quick and easy process.
Well this is a recycling place it's a clean & organized establishment other than that pick you're days & Time to go or you well be waiting for sometime overall I'll say there very professional you well be in out of there in no time I recommend this place....
I am a small electrical contractor. Met Daniel this past Sunday, he asked me to give Green a try for my scrap. Definitely satisfied. Quick and easy, great prices, and clean facility. My new go to for my scrap and will recommend to my other contractor friends and contacts.
I called ahead to see if they take motherboards and gold scrap from computers and they told me yes I get there they dump it all out and tell me they pay five cents a pound when they printed out my ticket that place is a rip off I had everything sorted platinum for hard drives gold pens 1980 computer parts and they paid me five cents a pound 80
They pay a little less than the place I used to go, but they make up for it in friendliness, helpfulness, & cleanliness.. you don't feel like you're going to pop a tire driving through. Never going back to the other place again!
Always take my soda cans, soup cans, wire hangers and other scrap metal to here which this a clean, safe and fast way to get cash back with your scrap. Awesome! Love doing business with them.
Awesome place and the pay is good not to mention it's an indoor facility. They pay alot more than other places I've been to as well. I come here at least once every 3 months, the people are friendly here and they unload the scrap for you. Only minor thing I do see an issue with is sometimes when I drive through the facility I've noticed alot of nails and sharp objects on the floor that could puncture a tire but luckily I haven't gotten a flat tire from it
Called to find out if they would sell metal to an individual. They would not. I was given no explanation other than "it's policy we only sell to big companies"
Please, take your metals somewhere that appreciates the members of the community enough to let them reuse your recyclables.
Update: they called me back to apologize for the way the call was handled, and offered to let me come look. I declined after he explained their setup, as it would be a pain in the ass for all parties involved. that service earned them 3/5.
Had an aluminum wheel that I wanted to scrap, so decided to take it to beegreen. The hours are supposed to be 7AM to 4:30PM weekdays, but I got there at 10:30AM on Tuesday Jan. 13 and the gate was closed and not a car in the parking lot. I called their phone number and no answer. They have either closed (shut down) or are not very good at letting everyone know their hours. And to cap it all off I drove from Glen Allen to get there, a huge waste of time and gas.
I stumbled upon this amazing recycling center on Facebook and decided to call the owner and ask for a tour.
This facility is the "end of the line" for many items that will often get "thrown away" and forgotten (read: items that get pushed into a landfill to sit for YEARS AND YEARS...everyone knows landfills are NOT great options).
We walked through the facility (which is amazingly clean!) and saw state of the art technology separating items you would never think to recycle!
Metal switch plates, old Christmas trees and Christmas lights, 3 ring binders, metal switch plate covers, refrigerators, soda cans, wires, crutches, ceiling fans, chaffing dishes, gutters, metal siding, old tools, lawnmowers,....AND you get PAID to drop it all off at their facility!
That is right...need a little extra cash? Want your child to save the environment and earn a little cash at the same time? Look up their website and read just how many items can be recycled at Bee Green Recycling.
Whenever you say "just throw it away" you really should stop and say..."lets take that to Bee Green Recycling"! You might as well get paid to get your items recycled into another useful item, don't you think?
We are already filling a bag full of items we would have once thrown in the trash.

This place is awesome! Not your typical metal recycling center. It is a clean, safe, friendly and well organized operation. You get cash for your metal.....no checks to cash. We had a lot of old metal items: refrigerator, metal hangers, lawn mower blades, Christmas lights, old cookware, and metal containers. It's quick and convenient. Well worth the trip.
