Josh and Touché were absolutely awesome. Truly got me out of a pickle with their incredible customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. All without complaint, amazing attitudes throughout. I hope their mamas know how well they did raising their sons right ? The customer service i received from Alyssa and Josh at this Advance Auto was top tier! My battery died on the coldest day this week. I got a jump and took my car to Advance Auto (store2330) on Chamberlyn. I was cold and moody. However, when I walked through the door 2 workers greeted me with big smiles and big Hellos! They explained about the batteries warranty and how to make sure it doesn't get erosion on the battery. The young man Josh went out in the cold in his Eagle's jacket and changed the battery with all smiles. He was just happy to do his job... in the cold. They were just the sweetest. It made me forget that I was mad, that I was late for work earlier that day and I was spending money I really didn't have. They were professional, cheerful, and quick. I just had to give them a shout out. I wish all businesses had customer service like this.

Hands down the best customer service experience in Richmond. My vehicle was acting up and I was over it! I arrived with sound effects and nothing more to assist them. Every single employee greeted me and my car was back up and running within 10 minutes of the products recommended. And I noticed that every customer was treated with care. I left with a well running vehicle and three new family members. This is my new auto store!!

i ordered an oil bundle , chose a store to pick up the items , i get to Chamberlayne Ave only the oil was there , the staff seemed confused , I'm assuming the manager on duty was probably still sleeping , he looked at the receipt and said your filter is at Brook Rd ,Richmond VA 23227 , he offered to refund the money back to my card BUT told me it could take up to three days for the money to appear in my account OR i could drive to Brook Rd and pick up the filter , , i asked if they had windshield oil stickers , he stated me to " they are complimentary in the back somewhere , I don't feel like looking for them , i left went to Brook Rd the lady who assisted me was very apologetic , when i asked about the stickers and told her what the Chamberlayne Ave store manager said , she was shocked ,i will say the cashier at Chamberlayne was polite , but clueless , it was the "manager" ( some foreign dude) who was less than helpful . so my online pick up ended up being 2 hours , with having to go to another store to pick up the rest of me items , train your people !

These guys have their act together, Way better than the guys next door. Well stocked and almost always have the part that I'm looking for, If not they ship it to my door within a day or two. Good service, very helpful too!

My car wouldn’t start yesterday evening and then again this morning so I came to Advance on Chamberlayne where I had bought my last battery. Fortunately, for me, I had bought the Diehard Gold last summer which has a 3 year warranty. They checked my battery and engine codes. It was my battery so they replaced my battery for me right away! They were quick, efficient and kind! John and Dom both helped me today. Dom had such an energetic and positive attitude which was especially helpful to me today as I’ve had a lot of car problems recently.

This was the friendliest Advanced I've been to! (I've been to many in different states) I really appreciate the helpful staff. They didn't treat me like I was an idiot when I forgot an engine spec and had to look it up for a part. Thank you.

My wife went here to pick up some wipers and filters, the type of stuff the staff usually helps you install. They sent her out with a dude named "Hollywood" that they implied worked there. He helps her install everything, then demands money. She felt unsafe, uncomfortable, and gave the guy some money to leave her alone (although less than he demanded). That is some third world skeazy activity, I can't believe she encountered that in the US at a chain auto parts store. Disgusting. Be careful.

I purchased a battery from this location and it died within 6 months, they sold me a faulty battery. I tried to speak with the manager Maxwell about getting a new battery and having it installed. He told me that he cannot install the battery for some reason when this location previously installed the faulty battery. This advance sucks!! Go to Auto Zone!!

This place is awesome. Jesse, Zion, and Mike made my life one million times better when they said they were able to replace my dead battery in less than 20 minutes. ?They literally can do anything at this place, it’s crazy. Definitely letting all my fellow drivers who know nothing about their cars know to come to this place first if they’re ever having an issue.

I went to advance to get windshield wiper blades. I asked for rain x blades and he showed me other blades instead of showing me what I asked and saying we don't have your size blades in stork. So I purchased Bosch Icon blades. I said to the guy if I can't get them on I will be back and he said ok. I couldn't get them on so I went back to get help and he tells me it's dark outside so I can't help you. He should have told me that in the beginning. I can't get to the store during the daylight hours. I will not purchase anything from you'll again. Need to work on better customer service.

Staff needs to be trained on how to handle online pickup orders. Twice now I've ordered online for pickup and had to wait a really long time for the guy to figure out how to use the computer to give me my order. At least the orders have always been ready promptly, but having to wait 15 minutes for someone to figure out how to use a computer defeats the whole point of placing the order online to begin with.

Not only was Lance’s customer service skills were top tier, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and knew exactly what he was doing. He took his time to make sure I had everything I needed for my car. I really appreciate Lance for going the extra mile! He was amazing!

I came in after breaking down very confused on an extremely stressful day. Lance and his team went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and back on the road. Not only did they test, diagnose, and provide me with the correct equipment to solve the issue, while dealing with other customers with needs they helped walk us through every step of the process! Lance changed the posts on my battery terminal himself when it was clear we were struggling, and even used his own tools to correct an issue I was prepared to spend big money on at the shop. His knowledge and repair of my battery cables went beyond customer service and I am home safe because of him! I will definitely be coming here first for all future car needs and recommending to my friends.

John and Lance were incredibly helpful in diagnosing a strange sound from my newly purchased vehicle. They took the time to help me out, even as the store was reaching closing time. I don’t often write reviews for businesses but they truly went above and beyond my expectations in terms of helpfulness, professionalism, and expertise. I’ll be sure to hit up this advanced auto parts anytime I have another issue with my vehicle.

I don't know what's going on at this location but the staff is very unprofessional. They have there own kids running around the shop knocking stuff over. I asked for a muffler hanger absorber and I was told to go to a muffler shop when I looked they had one in the aisle. Very unhelpful dirty looking people. I won't be back.

Customer service has dropped, rude staff as well. Cashier rang up my purchase, I asked for them to look up my rewards by phone. He stated we can't do that unless you have to physical card. I told him every time I have been here they have been able to do so. After huffing and puffing he tried and even though I have a rewards card with them under the phone number provided He said he couldn't find it. I told him don't worry ill just go next door to autozone. Which I did. Customer service is very important people, you don't have to take bad service and say nothing. Make your voice heard!

This visit has been by far the best customer service that I've ever received in an auto parts store. Lance is simply amazing. Upon entering the store he was very welcoming. He got straight to helping me and went above and beyond to do so. He even called the dealership to help find the part I need. He doesn't give up. I will continue to come back to this store for all of my car care needs. BTW, he's the GM and he never even spoke of that or presented himself as if he was a GM and not a sales associate.

They were pretty terrible today. There were signs everywhere for buy one get one cleaning/detaing products so we picked our items (and read and re-read the signs to make sure we picked the correct items). We went the check out and nothing rang up on sale. Two separate employees couldn't tell us why ours didn't qualify for the sale. Then we asked for the manager and he told us he didn't have time to deal with us because his wife was gonna Chew him out. So while he was ignoring us and running out the door he yelled to the employees to rip all the signs down immediately so they didn't have to deal with this problem. So all in all we left paying full price and feeling like we were a pain to deal with. Basically everyone just ran away except on guy who told us he couldn't fix the problem cause he wasn't high enough up on the chain of command. Go somewhere else.

Warren was a great guy! Put me on hold but was back on the phone within moments to answer my questions. Within minutes from entering the store, he was very helpful setting up and using the diagnostic tool on my car to hand me the code. Offered excellent customer support all around from his charismatic demeanor and genuine urgency to help you while in the store. Highly recommend asking for him while there!
