i'd leave 0 stars if I could. Absolute worst experience I have ever had with a car shop. Terrible communication, didn't fix my issue correctly which forced me to take more time to come back and forth to get the issue corrected. Caught them in a few lies, and was completely unsatisfied. Only come here if you are looking to have a hard time and want to be lied to.

A few weeks ago I was driving on 95 I hit a big piece of metal on the road and it took out my passenger side tires. I called my insurance company and AAA and, after 5 hours, I got towed to Lindsay’s. The staff was 7/10 friendly, but I had to call to get updates. They had the work done in about two week, did an alignment, and replaced my wheels (with used ones) and tires. After driving it for a few days, I noticed my car driving oddly, it was pulling to the left and I had a crazy amount of vibration that was definitely new. I called to ask if they put the new tires on the same side and they confirmed it and told me that, “your car is going to pull until you get new tires.” No help, no offer or response to an ask to fix it. Honestly? You’re going to release a car to a customer that isn’t driving right? You can’t be bothered to rotate the tires properly? It’s auto work 101. I’m at another shop PAYING to get my tires properly rotated. I’m not going here again, the lack of remote concern and professionalism is really troubling and disappointing. I really wish I’d picked another shop from my insurance’s list. UPDATE: After writing to the CEO and Executive team of Progressive, I finally got them to listen to me that my car wasn't driving right. They agreed to pay for me to take it to another garage. I took it to Moore Subaru on West Broad and they found $1,579 of damage to my suspension that Lindsay's didn't bother to even look at. They clearly just slapped wheels and tires on my car and called it a day. I asked them explicitly to check my suspension/brakes, et al, but they clearly couldn't be bothered. I can't fathom where these 5 stars are coming from.

As a parent, I watched these folks tell our 22 year old daughter “there was nothing else they could do” to fix the crash sensors that continuously appeared on her Nissan Maxima dashboard after Lindsay’s auto body’s “repair job”. They also did absolutely nothing to make good and repair the knife slash that appeared on her leather console sometime between the tow and the 3rd and last attempt to get Lindsay to make right on their faulty repair. She then took her car to a Nissan dealership who immediately diagnosed the issues and said Lindsay was fully to blame. Our daughter’s insurance company is paying to have the sensors and more fixed, as they should have done weeks and weeks ago. Shameful, sloppy and incredibly poor service. Beware.

Don't send your car here if you have progressive and value any level of communication or want to not have to be on the hook for stuff afterwards. We received absolutely no updates about progress unless we sought them out ourselves, and even then we mostly had to call our insurance claim manager for them. They gave it back to us was numerous problems they claim already existed, missing a front wheel lug nut and with mostly every bulb that was involved in the crash not working.

Next week marks a full 3 months and my repairs are still not fully completed. My brand new (didn't even have an inspection sticker yet!) Mazda was involved in a hit and run. I dropped it off just before Christmas 2023, and picked it up a little over a week later. They were waiting on a piece of molding and assured me they would call me when it arrived. With the price of rentals during the holidays, this was fine. They also had to replace my headlight, and shortly after, the warning lights on my dash started up about my high beams not functioning properly. 2024 hit and I hadn't heard from them, so I gave them a call. To my surprise, they seemed confused and unaware of the situation. I ended up calling them once a week for an entire month. Still confused, they requested pictures of the missing part, which I emailed. I also told them about the headlight issue so it would be on their radar when I brought my car back to finish the repair. This whole thing is disappointing because the staff was friendly, and the other work they did was good. It is frustrating that the process has been unnecessarily drawn out with such terrible communication. Now I have to start the calls all over again- I just want the repairs that were paid for to be completed!

I had an insurance claim here repair here. It took a short time for the repairs to be be completed. Unfortunately when I got my car bad it reeked of bad body odor and cigarettes as if someone had been sleeping in my car. I mentioned it to the staff members and they swore that none of the shop workers smoked which means they left my doors open and someone or a vagrant slept in my vehicle and smoked 20 cigarettes while in it. The shop did not take accountability and pretty much told me I was wrong as if they would have known. I will say that my door was open when I arrived to take possession of my vehicle so they really wouldn't have been able to assure me of this.

I was lied to and never updated on my cars work needed for 2 years. I'm sure not everyone has this kind of experience. I could see how others find them genuine and good people. It's very disappointing that I was given the run around about my vehicle. When it could have just been honestly explained and I would have understood. Work was only completed on my vehicle when I would call about it. Other than those times it would be pushed off for other cars to come in and out of their lot.

Between parts issues and supply chain issues it took just shy of 6 months to get my truck back. At first glance it looks great. I immediately had to travel out of state with it and now that I've had time to look at it, the bumper on the driver's side is 3/8" higher than the pass passenger side. Also, and more concerning is the left front wheel is pushed 1" further back in the wheel well than the right side. It took me less than a minute to look under the truck and find a bent part. NOT happy!

I absolutely love Lindsay's Auto Body! Angie is so friendly and got me in very quickly for an appointment. The owner was so kind and gave me an extremely fair estimate. The work was perfect and my vehicle was completely repaired in a week! They even cleaned the car inside and out! I am so pleased and highly recommend this Business for any auto repairs and painting. ❤❤❤

After visiting the Honda Dealership (and finding out fixing the car trim would have cost an arm and a leg), Lindsey’s auto fixed it in less than 20 min. They wouldn’t charge me so I ended up paying with doughnuts. What a kind and talented team!!! Will definitely return and happy to recommend to friends.

I backed up into a fire extinguisher box and damaged my rear bumper. My vehicle was fixed and looks like new! Everyone was so helpful and they fixed my vehicle sooner than I had expected. All of the positive reviews were the reason I selected them and I am thrilled that I did! Thank you!

Sometimes you get good service. Sometimes you get exceptional service. But sometimes if you’re lucky you get mind bending customer service, and I was lucky enough to take my vehicle to Lindsay’s. Took my truck in to get the bumper fixed after I plowed a deer down and got my truck back with a beautiful new bumper AND my radio now works! Dunno how they pulled that off but they did! Take your vehicle here. It’s worth it.

I don't know if I've ever posted a review of a business, but I had to share my WONDERFUL experience with this shop. I found the business through Google and read a few of the reviews, and I'm so happy I did. The folks at the business - every single one of them - are as NICE as can be and so helpful!! I've lived in Richmond all my life and have never had a good experience with a mechanic or body shop. Not one single time. Until Lindsay's. I'd asked Lindsay's to repair/paint/touch up some damage and paint peeling on an old BMW, which I know is a pain in the a** to work on. But I said I just wanted to save money, so I almost begged them to do a passable job. The owner, as nice as can be, told me he didn't like doing work that was less than perfect (not in those exact words, but basically). I told him I just wanted it to look "ok," and I tried to assure him I wouldn't complain about the level of work. The next thing I know- when I go to pick up my car - he and his team had painted and repaired the bumper (and some hard-to-get-to molding on the roof of the car) such that it LOOKED BRAND NEW! On top of that, they washed the car and wheels! No extra charge! The price they invoiced me was so reasonable I tried to let me tip them and said that they should charge me more because of the impeccable, and very laborious, work they'd done. They wouldn't hear of it, just gave me friendly smiles and waves, and I left that body shop feeling like I'd just met some of the nicest, most talented and most honest people in Richmond.

This is my third experience with Lindsay’s Body Shop. They have been consistently friendly and professional, and deliver OUT OF THIS WORLD SERVICE!!!!!! They are very personable, honest with their estimates, and get your vehicle back to you on time. Make sure you check them out before going anywhere else!!! I strongly recommend this business for all of your auto body and paint needs!!!!

Wonderful experience. This family operation was fantastic to work with and provided top level work really quickly. They provided honest feedback about other work I wanted done and actually talked me out of it because they couldn’t guarantee the quality of the work. On top of the great work, I picked up my car fully cleaned inside and out!

The BEST Auto Body shop I’ve ever been too!! From beginning to end nothing but OUTSTANDING customer service.. when I first brought my car in to be serviced, I was pleasantly surprised about how nice and welcoming they were.. it was around 7:00 in the morning and I was unprepared for the niceness of two older gentleman, it made me reevaluate my attitude lol They got my car fixed in 11 daysssss!!! I can’t express how happy I am about that considering my expected pick up date was 2/3 weeks from when they had it ready!! Amazed... I love them! The ladies in the office were super sweet and accommodating! Just awesome folks!! God forbid I’m ever in another car accident, but if so, I know where to go!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

Will never use them again. They jumped my car without authorization then tried to charge me for it. They stated they tried to contact me before the jump but they didn't, I had my phone at my desk the entire time and it NEVER rang. How do I know when they were there, I have cameras. I have cameras at my home and they clearly show the time the driver was there and that the driver left before ever calling me. I reported them to the BBB. Without my cameras I would have never had proof they lied on the phone when they called and told me they need to jump it to move it, they had already done it by this point. They sent me a letter from my BBB complaint claiming "they may have called after the service was performed", not may have, they did and I have video to prove it. My insurance denied the jump claim b/c I sent them my video and proof of them calling me well after. All I can think is what if I had not had my cameras? I could have been on the hook for a jump that had already been done, which I was not aware of and didn't authorize. In fact when the driver called me while he was in route to my house, I told him DO NOT JUMP IT, if that is the case I can do that myself and just drive it up at some point but if you can get it out of park and tow it do that. I was clear, obviously they just wanted the $$. I wanted it towed it b/c I was at work and towing is covered so it made it easier for me. That turned out to be a HUGE PAIN...never again.

I brought in my vehicle last month after being referred by Progressive. I had damage to my car door and deep paint scratches down one side. When I picked up the vehicle, I was impressed at the quality of the work done - it looked brand new again! Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay are courteous, pleasant, and attentive to their customers. They also guarantee their workmanship. I will certainly recommend this place for anyone needing auto body work!!

Truly the best interaction with any business I think I've ever had. The guy that helped me (I was dumb and didn't ask for his name) told me what was wrong with my car (which was just really nice) and fixed it and was really just all around wonderful. Could not have been a better experience. A+, 11/10 would recommend.

I was referred to Lindsay's by Progressive Insurance and I was somewhat skeptical, but I have to say they were fabulous! The job took a wee bit longer than estimated, but the work was excellent. The owner, Ricky, was great to deal with. I would absolutely go back again

Took my truck there after a crash that did $10k of damage to the entire side. Lindsay's did a wonderful job replacing and repainting everything involved and now the truck looks brand new. Definitely recommend this place if you need body work. Thanks guys for the good work!

This business is one of the ones used and recommended by USAA, so we took our car there and had a great experience. The owners were polite, prompt, and efficient. Our car was ready within two days and they did an outstanding job of repairing it...even vacuumed the interior of the car! Couldn't have been better.

Great family-owned business. I spoke to Ms. Lindsay who was courteous, knowledgeable, and kept me well informed. The repairs were made expeditiously and they detailed my car for me before they gave it back! Definitely recommend!!

First time I ever had to get work done on my car. My car is an awkward brown color so I was nervous and worried about the ending result of all the repairs. IT WAS PERFECT!! Lindsay's did an AMAZING job matching the color to perfection. My bumper was fixed, the right color, AND the inside and outside of my car looked better than it did when I brought it in to them. I will definitely be recommending and coming back to Lindsay's for all my auto body needs. I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else!
