I drove around to 5 different places! My nephew told me about this place . They were very friendly walking in and extremely helpful! They ran a free diagnostic test and checked my battery out all 4 other places were going to charge me for these services! The other 4 places I went to prior couldn’t take me without an appointment! I stopped into advanced auto parts explained my situation they hooked me up even emailed me a coupon in store to save money! I can’t tell you how pleased I was with the friendly staff that were willing to help me out ! Thank you jay you made my day ! I will always recommend you guys to anyone who crosses my path that needs battery, or car parts! I found a new home ! Thank-you, Thank you !

Sold me a battery that had a dead cell, ontop of that I go to return it and get a replacement and they said that they had to hold it for I think they said 24 to 48 hours to test it with out even giving me a temporary even though there the ones who messed up wich would leave me without a vehicle when I have debilitating health problems and can't walk everywhere and have a job and 2 kids to bring to school. I'll never buy a battery here again and I'm dissatisfied that no one could just work with me proper. Also its this location specifically that's the problem there unprofessional and have a rude demeanor. Please look into your staff at this location including the gm, there gonna loose you money. The one in northsyracuse is great.

This is the only auto store I use, even though there are 3 others close by. The employees always go out of their way to explain things to me (which is very important to me) snd thy usually have what i m looking for the 1st time

Fair price for a decent duralast product. Be sure to double check the parts you are purchasing to ensure compatibility with your vehicle. The do seem to have an issue in that department. There have been a few times now where I've torn my car down for installation of a part just purchased to find that it is not even close to the part required. And that isn't due to me mistakingly purchasing the wrong part.

Came 40 minutes before closing to grab a quick part. Doors were locked and the employees inside were staring at me and laughing. Very professional.

I actually went in looking for a dental mirror for a plumbing issue. The gentleman who helped me was extremely helpful and I came away with exactly what I needed... for only $2! I've shopped here in the past with the same positive results. They're now my 1st stop for my auto (& plumbing) needs :)

I went and received an oil dip stick which was wrong. I’m not complaining on the wrong part but when returning, manager Savannah had told me it was my fault and continued to wanna argue with me that it’s my fault. I started talking to Xavier cause she was threatening me to be thrown out when asking for money back. She wouldn’t accept that she got the wrong part and that she wasn't trying to give money back. She is very unprofessional and needs more training on her customer service skills. Very unpleased.

Management at this store needs a lot of improvement, not impressed one but with his customer service and his un professional attitude! Hopefully the other managers are nicer than James.

Prices are a bit high, but reasonable for the socket that I bought for the boss. EXCELLENT service, in and out extremely fast. Great for mechanics who own a business. Definitely back up their tools.

I spend over 100 dollars at this exact location and the way I was treated when I went to pick up my parts is RIDICULOUS!!!! Like I don't get it I spend my hard earned money just to get talked to disrespectful and I was shocked the two guys one was young and the other dude was older than the you dude plus I order my parts online hit the pickup store option and was treated like someone who was bothering them when in reality it took over a hour to get my parts which never happens and when I went to the store my parts weren't even in stock then the you dude with the long ponytail was giving me attitude never again will I go to this store and I am cancelling my membership that I've been apart of for years smh

Customer Service was Top knotch. Gentleman helping me find correct Bulbs for my car was very patient and professional. Made 100% Sure I walked out with the correct parts. Highly recommend A do it yourself Job on your car Shop City Advance Auto Parts is the place to go.

I was looking for a place to ship a UPS package that is already marked with a shipping label and I found this location where I was kicked out and told they do not take packages. First, Keith said he had to weigh it which indicates he maybe dies not understand that he should accept UPS packages. If Advanced Auto Parts is not a place where you can send or drop packages then the drop-off times should not be posted as such. If Keith was wrong, He needs retraining on his store policy on Advanced Auto Parts relationship and policy on this topic. Also, he should maybe be trained in customer relations as he treated me very poorly. Keith said he is the manager also. If he is then perhaps the business should consider spending way more time training managers in how to manage situations like this in the future.

Shelly helped my father and I for 2-3 hours in the cold weather while we were having car issues with parts relating to my Jeep. She was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and stuck it out until the job was done. GREAT SERVICE 100 STARS!!

Worst auto parts store in Syracuse, no idea how they have such a high rating. Tried to return a poor quality product that was just opened and was denied. They looked at my purchase history ($200 this year) and said I don’t buy enough to try to keep me as a customer, so I’m going to the new Autozone on Grant from now on. Cya!

Staff is OK, they do not seem to be in an urgent need to assist. Some of the specials are rather ambiguous as well. They also will not match online pricing with an in store purchase, had to buy an item on my phone with in store pick-up to receive the pricing, which seems rather ridiculous.

They have a high supply of auto parts and assessories. Don't forget to use their online app for great deals. The people who work there know there stuff. They will not sell you something you could not use. They are well informed on many makes and models.

I was in the store in Shop City asking about some supplies for brakes and a tool called a flaring kit. I touched my pocket bc I didn’t remember what pocket my wallet was in. The manager Christy decides to ask me what I have in my pocket. Mind you I’ve spent over 300.00 in this store in the last 3 weeks. So because I patted my pocket she assumed I had stolen something. After telling her that she just lost a good paying customer she says ok fine. For asking a question? No for basically accusing me of stealing something for touching my pocket. That was so unprofessional! I pulled out my wallet and keys and showed her and proceeded to ask her if she wanted to pay me down. District is going to be notified of this. I know she’s seen me in there multiple times and seen me buy parts and always pay. I will be sure to let all my mechanic friends and shop owners that she not only accused me of shoplifting but she also did it in front of her crew and other customers.

Bad snow day Friday. Windshield wiper blade fell off so I took it back to this store where I had purchased it in December. Not only did they replace the broken bracket (no charge) but they put it back on the car for me. Just plain great customer service. Highly recommend!

I went to this location to simply return used oil. I asked two associates that where at the counter where to put the oil but they where to busy arguing amongst themselves to even acknowledge me. The manager Paul comes out and tells me he can help me in one second and precedes to answer the phone and order parts for another customer. I then went to the Whitman at the end of the counter and she helped me out without an issue. It seems odd they would prioritize a call over someone standing directly in front of them. When I brought this up to Paul he was defensive saying that he can’t let the phone ring more than 3 times so what does he want me to do about it.

Very helpful employees. I've seen them attach windshield wipers on customers vehicles. Whenever I go there they always have the parts I need in stock. Defiantly recommend AAP to friends.

Just stopped at this location for a headlight, the store manager Jason approached me when I walked in and asked what I needed. I told him a headlight, but realized I had to cash my check before I could buy it. Jason goes 'no problem, cash your check and I'll have your headlight waiting for you.' Cashed my check and came back and this dude was already at the counter waiting. Cashed me out and wished me a good day. I go to my car and insert the new bulb, still doesnt work. I go back inside and tell Jason and he walks back out with me to my car and checks the bulb. Turns out I had replaced my high beam bulb like a dumbass, but Jason says no sweat and exchanges my bulb for the correct one. After he rings me out for the correct bulb I say 'hey man, i appreciate your extra help, how do I help you out? Leave a good review? Give you a tip?' Jason goes 'psh, dude you dont have to help me, it's my job. Dont worry about it.' 5 stars, now THAT'S some good customer service. I'll always go to this location for car stuff from now on because they employ some exceptional staff that give above and beyond customer service. Headlight works great now that I have it in the right place. Thanks again Jason.

There was no wait to be helped when I arrived. They looked up the part I needed without any problem. Unfortunately this was not one of the parts they could get installed by them, but he explained how it might be. They do install wiper blades for free. They also check and install batteries and occasionally do a few other items. They are always pleasant and even go out to your in nasty weather.

My mother in-law picked us up at the airport and we started the hour and half journey back to her house. Not five minutes from the airport we smelled something burning and pulled over. The brake's caliper locked up and was smoking. My husband got it temporarily unlocked and then called this store to see if we could use their tools in the parking lot to fix the problem. Mark answered and said, "No problem". We made it safely to the store and Mark loaned us the right tools and quickly helped us find the correct part when my husband figured out the problem. Mark is just about the nicest guy ever! He was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us out. We HIGHLY recommend this store. Ask for Mark.

Let me tell you about this store! One of the hottest days I walked in there to see why my check engine light was on. I asked Mark to check it, his response was we are not allowed in the customers cars, but you can do it. I need your licence to hold. I gave it to him.Well come to find out the other gentleman took another man out with it. So Mark you let a 60 year old lady go out in 100 degree weather to do your job. Never again will I go there!Shame on you Mark!
