Our contractor scheduled a drop off and pickup of a dumpster from Syracuse Haulers. We were contacted when they were dropping off and when they were picking up. Placement was perfect. RUNNNNNN DONT USE THEM. I am a current customer and I’m desperately looking to get the hell way away from them. My lid was cracked and they refused to pick up my trash. Then tried to say even tho I called the landfill and asked they said that my cardboard being in a garbage bag was contamination when according to Madison County landfill it is not. They have not came in 2 weeks because the weather but yet the end of the road has been picked up!!!!! They are miss treating a whole community because alll of are neighbor Are now try to leave as well. They try to over charge you for everything on top of taking pictures of your house without permission. A lid being cracked is not a safety concern like they claim especially when they don’t even get out of their trucks.

I put out our bins Sunday afternoon for our normal Monday pickup. When I brought them in today (Tuesday) the Blue Bin was still full. The yellow bin was emptied. As of today the have not responded to this request. Robert Eckel

Go literally anywhere else for trash service. This company just cares about money and customer service is not in their vocabulary. They will make excuses like it is in the job description.

Was on auto pay which there was trouble with every time. They would tell me my service was cancelled for no payment because of a computer glitch —- every time. Was assured I would get pick up but it never happened. Called again and was given another excuse of bin placement. My ring camera confirms this was bogus. Not even offered to make it right and then charged a fee for bin pick up. No one wants to have to worry so much about their garbage!! Terrible servicing!!

Dealing with these folks has been an absolute nightmare. They hit / destroyed our mailbox over a month ago. No one apologized. We spoke to three separate people, and they were all beyond defensive. We have not been reimbursed and no one has returned our last three emails or texts If I could give below a one star I would

I’m out of Frankfort NY, I was previously with a company called Przyluke that was taken over by Syracuse haulers. From the jump of my service never received anything on how I would be billed or payment arrangements till months later. Paid that and following bill had was $100 more. Saying that first month wasn’t paid. It was way paid in full to prezluke before receiving their bill making me pay additional $200. Spoke to lady saying it was fix yet I still get a bill that I have to pay following 2 months not 3. No credit given for it. Going forward 3-5 months again I am over charge due $198. Call they say this is a charge not paid from previous billing. I have bank statements called never got back to me. I paid it anyway to be safe and have my garbage picked up. The 3 time the wanna keep sneaking $97.00 on my bill. I paid it and left with new company. Now you wanna charge me for a can I never got from them. They never brought me their can at start of service. I used the one I had from previous company. Come get that one. I am not paying for a can you never gave me. No organization. Sometimes no pick up trash or days late. Ya Take advantage of who you know u can keep getting xtra money from. The neighborhood is wise here, I see most people also changed from this company. Take a look within. It’s bad business. You might wanna avoid the headache, find a better company.

I had a roof replaced and this is the company they contracted for the dumpster. It has now been OVER A WEEK the roof was replaced and the dumpster is STILL blocking my driveway, forcing me to street park in very limited spaces and preventing me from being able to bring my trash carts to the curb. They told the roofing company that there was a car accident preventing them from picking up their dumpster, but there was not an accident on my street. It seems pretty clear they forgot and lied about it. I have contacted my roofing company three times about the dumpster, they contacted Syracuse Haulers, and yet there will be a dumpster blocking my driveway for another full weekend. Homeless people have been digging around in it. When I personally called, the voice mail said to leave a message and then disconnected. This is unacceptable. If you are a commercial business thinking of contracting Syracuse Haulers, I would suggest not making your customers angry and going with a different company. UPDATE: Maybe this review helped. Dumpster is FINALLY off my driveway. Although there is a huge dent in the blacktop on my drive from the rollers.

Hi 👋 I just want to say my driver out in Baldwinsville is amazing. I always forget what day I'm on and he always waits a extra minute knowing I'll run out and grab my bins and put them out 😂 if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't ever have my garbage pickup up on time 😁👍 Thanks again for a great driver.

We have a commercial account with Syracuse Haulers for Onondaga Commons. Everyone from our sales rep Stephen Porto to the person who answers the phone to our drivers are all friendly and helpful. We had neighborhood residents using our dumpster, Steve quickly brought us locks. We now monitor them so that our tenants are properly disposing of onsite trash and recycling. They have been a great vendor to work with!

I happened to be following a Syracuse Haulers truck on my way home. I appreciated that the driver signaled before pulling far enough off the road so that the line of traffic following could pass. I noticed the wonderful condition of the truck as I passed the driver. It was nice to witness a courteous driver working for this company. Nice work to all!

I've been with Syracuse Haulers now for quite awhile and I have to say they are the worst company ever, so many rules and they definitely don't care about their customers especially senior's and I called to ask them if they could let me put my trash a little up a ways. They said no and they bill you monthly for the month before I'n other words your bill for July is really your paying for June backwards if you ask. My other company switched to this company and their payment system is crazy. I've called numerous times about how much I owe and dispute it They are rude and the attitude I get is if you dont like it to bad. They have a rating of 2 out of 5. They also took out a payment that wasn't authorized. They corrected it and put it back in my acct. But to top it off I called and cancelled them and going with another company and said when can you pick up my can's they couldn't give me a date but they have to be visible then told me within a week and the kicker was they charge $50.00 to pick their own cans up even tho they have other customers on this road.

Pick up workers broke the top/lid off large garbage can on Wednesday When I called customer service, they said "oh that happens" no apologies. We can get you a replacement and won't charge you,on Monday. So we wait 5 days,no apologies, all managers in meetings. Lousy service.

They refused to take my garbage because I had a dead houseplant sticking out of the bin. They called that yard waste and told me it'd be an extra $40 to have my garbage taken away. After multiple issues with the yard waste team taking that away without issues and now this, im not renewing my commercial waste contract and hope town of manlius considers new options for their residents too.

At approximately 8:35 AM on May 19, 2025, while driving eastbound on Highway 690, Truck #562 made a dangerous and reckless lane change into the lane I was already occupying, forcing my vehicle toward the guardrail. I had to lay on my horn continuously until the driver finally merged back into his own lane to avoid crushing us. This could have easily resulted in a high-speed collision or caused another driver to rear-end us due to the sudden chaos on the highway. There is absolutely no way the driver did not see my vehicle, unless he was under the influence or is genuinely unfit to be operating a commercial vehicle. The maneuver was so aggressive and negligent that it is shocking no collision occurred. This incident was terrifying and completely avoidable. I am requesting that this be investigated immediately, and that appropriate disciplinary or corrective action is taken. I am more than willing to provide additional details or a statement if needed. This driver put lives at risk. I strongly urge you to treat this with the seriousness it deserves.

We had been using Syracuse Haulers for many years. This past November, our bank account was compromised and we needed to get new everything, and apparently missed a payment. The first payment missed ever. Did they send a letter? An email? Make a quick call to let us know? Nope. They stopped pick up AT CHRISTMAS. (It was the December payment that was missed). When we called they were HORRIBLE AND RUDE. We have a new company now, and we called to have the old cans removed. They tried to charge us 50$. Pay the extra few bucks and use a different company. This one sucks.

Had a steel dumpster set up and have ya know it they take the scrap and don't give a difference in the bill back. Had no idea that's how they operate. They didn't tell me that's how they operate either. Won't do that again. Made off with about 3000 bucks in scrap!!

Cynthia has been so helpful. She is the only reason I am still with Syracuse Haulers. The rest of the company is like pulling teeth to get what you need. Beware unless Cynthia is your representative.

Super rude customer service. Since our garbage company that was Przyluke switched over tot Syracuse Haulers they have not been helpful at all. This is the second time in a row that our garbage was not picked up. I called the company to ask why this has happened twice and the girl that I spoke with was extremely rude. She said they had to wait to watch a video of why they wouldn’t take our garbage for the second time in a row. Instead of being understanding by our frustration she was very rude on the phone and gave a lot of attitude. She didn’t resolve our issue and has us waiting to see why they didn’t take our garbage on the video footage and also hung up on us. I will most definitely be looking for a different company to work with.

Lived in the area only six months and the vibe is like they have a monopoly on trash and can do whatever they want, including not fulfilling services paid for. Today is trash pickup day, our bill is current, and by chance I was home when the driver slowed down, waved, and proceeded to my neighbors overflowing bin after completely skipping our house. Called customer service who only have a voicemail stating they’re Out of Office for a holiday party. Next week is Christmas so we will have overflowing bins because Syracuse Haulers didn’t pick up the bin they were paid to do, and then won’t pick up the new bin because it’ll be overflowing, which forces me to pay for a punch card to haul the waste to the dump myself…the service we already paid Syracuse Haulers to fulfill. Working with the “trash service” of NY has been an unexpected change from previous locales; and not positive.

Not sure what these clowns thought I was going to do with my garbage for a month while they figured out how to haul trash. They didn’t hesitate to charge me but never told me when my cans would arrive, how much they were going to charge me and how often. Repeated emails -to one of their employees who emailed me first - went unanswered for more than a week. When I called I was told I couldn’t cancel my service (which hadn’t begun yet, even though they charged me) because EVERYONE from billing was on the phone. And I couldn’t have their number to call them directly, they had to call me back. They never did. So I finally got a hold of someone on Tuesday, weeks after calling an arranging for trash service. Spoke to someone they old me my can should have been delivered and that my service should have began. She was unbelievably helpful and a joy to talk to. She helped me cancel my service and SHE CALLED BACK AFTER TELLING ME SHE WOULD. If I had dealt with this woman the entire time they would have gotten my business. But it seems like everyone else at the company is a dunce beside her. Do not hire these people for anything. I asked around and everyone that I know that uses them didn’t contract with them, their trash carrier was bought by them. So they are currently in the process of alienating customers some other business earned. Avoid avoid avoid. There are tons of trash haulers, no need to settle. I called a local company and was set up THAT DAY.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Trash is consistently not picked up but they do grab my recycling. Have called and confirmed my pick up day multiple times and cans go out. They say they will call back in regard to complaints of service not being provided and don’t. Got hung up on by customer service while expressing my frustrations since start of service. Overall dissatisfied.

I feel like everyone goes to the extreme when they write these reviews. The company is either horrible and out to get you, or they're gods gift and can do no wrong. I personally have not had any trouble with this company. The office staff are nice and fairly consistent and since I don't interact with the drivers I don't have an issue there either. It's simple, follow trash pick up rules and don't be surprised if they call you out when you don't. No one has any personal accountability anymore.

Just got their service not very happy. I have cameras up. I have to call them every Friday asking why my trash wasn't picked up. Get told we will review the tapes to see. Told them I have security cameras also to show not one truck came by my house. They sent a guy 2 Saturday in a row to get my trash spoke with him even he agreed with me. This Thursday no pickup was told they would get it on Monday no pickup. To the point I will load three cans up and drop them at there door and go with someone else as I explained I have to have someone come to put it out for me as I'm disabled.

This company is horrible. I am a family of 5 and always have a full trash and recyclable bin every week. My trash and recyclable pickup is on Thursdays. Last Thursday was a very windy day and my recycle bin, provided by them, had blown over. The drivers apparently aren't supposed to get out of the trucks, so they left my full bin on the side of the road. I called first thing the following morning and the girl said that because of the circumstances and that I am in the town of Salina, she would have a truck come over that day to pick up my bin. Of course that never happened. I then called on Monday and the girl I was transferred to sounded very inconvenienced and said this was the first she heard of this and would have to call me back. Of course, she never called back. It is now Tuesday and I called again first thing and spoke to a Melinda. I explain everything to her and she now says they typically charge a fee. I told her that I should not have to pay an additional fee because wind blew over the bin they provided to me and especially after they told me that there would be no fee and someone would pick it up last Friday. I am a business owner myself and take pride in the service that my business provides. These people have no accountability and could care less about customer service. She is supposed to be having a manager call me back today. Let's see how this works out. I will certainly be reaching out to the town and making sure I am a part of the next town board meeting to voice my complete dissatisfaction.

Worse thing our town ever did was contract with this company. I have a 2 family house and am only alloted 1 can for trash and one for recyclables. I can rent a second set for over $800 per year but can not afford that. Because we have 7 people using 1 can for each we always have too much trash. It is a constant battle to get rid of our garbage each week. This week the lid blew off my recyclables bin and they noticed a piece of a tree inside along with a couple boxes not broken down ( probably something thrown in last minute) So they didn't pick it up. They have no idea the problem this presents us and they don't care. They are refusing to pick it up. I guess we will have to drive the trash to my mothers house to set out like we have had to do before. I miss waste management. They were always professional an courteous.

Seems I am not the only one disappointed with the service at Syracuse Haulers. Received a letter indicating we would be switched over to their service from our previous waste removal starting in the new year and we would be getting a single stream recycling bin. Two weeks pass with no trash pick up or new bin so I call to follow up. Ten calls later and they finally pick up my trash four weeks into the new year after I nagged them on the day of my pickup. They didn’t even know where my house was and never bothered asking! Still have never received the recycling bin after being told repeatedly that I was “on the list” and that they could not give me an estimated delivery date. They also didn’t pick up the trash again this week. Everyone I talked to was rude and dismissive and made the decision easy. It’s a bad sign when I quite literally would rather drive to the dump than rely on this service. My house won’t be staying with Syracuse haulers and I don’t recommend them to anyone.

This is my second round with this despicable company. 2013 i had them for two months. they charged me a late charge twice when i never received the billing statement via email, i called four times to straighten out this issue never fixed the issue. fast forward to 2024 I had HR Refuse and they are fabulous but partnering with Syracuse Haulers. We got a letter in Dec 2023 Stating our new pick date and company starting January's 2024 . put the cans out and they never picked up the trash ! Called four times and they argued with us saying we never had put the cans out . Come to find out they never stopped on the date we were told, they were there two days before ! They are unprofessional , rude, and expensive . Go to Bliss They are great

They tore up my DAYCARE CENTER parking lot due to their truck being too heavy. The VP, manager and salesman came out after over an hour and a half and two calls later. After I advised them that a child tripped and could of bashed their face into the 8" holes the VPs response was NOT an apology or asking how the child was. His response was, "well he didn't hit hit head" WOW. They also told us too baf so sad this is your responsibility to fix. They didnt even offer us a penny, not even a discount on the pick up!! The absolute worst company with ZERO morals. Shame on you!!
