My daughter’s car began leaking antifreeze and overheated while she is away in College. I reached out to Tony. He immediately put my mind at ease. He runs a very professional shop.
My daughter was able to drop the car off at a clean, safe and friendly environment.
Communication was prompt and detailed. The car was inspected top to bottom photos taken. All issues were noted and shared.
Then the leak was identified, diagnosed and a second detailed report with photos was shared.
I was given the option to repair some small issues along with the major repair of replacing the water pump and thermostat assembly. A quote including labor and materials prior to work was provided and agreed upon.
The car was taken in right away work began promptly and the car was dropped off late Tuesday and returned by Friday afternoon.
This communication all took place via phone, text and email.
I couldn’t be more happy and am extremely grateful that Upstate Imports was able to get my daughter back on the road quickly and professionally.

Shout out to Tony and his crew at Upstate Imports Auto Repair. Its refreshing when a business does what it says it going to do. They were efficient, provided quick turnaround on my repairs and communicated with me the whole time. I've recently had to deal with another repair shop for my BMW and it couldn't have been a worse experience. Tony and his team were awesome from beginning to end and I would recommend them to anyone frustrated by the local dealers.

They are really a scammer! Before I went there for the service of Mercedes GLC300, I asked for a quote of service B. I gave all the information of my car to them. The quote they gave me is $200-300. But, after the service they charged me more than 700! I will not recommend this place at all.
They are real scammers. I did not ask for service B. I asked for oil change. But they told me they did service B and charge me more than 700. By the way, the service B at dealership is around 700 not 1900. Their service was awful.
I have taken my vehicles to Upstate Imports for over 10 years. The service is always top notch! My most recent visit was this Monday. I had an inspection, oil change, key battery change, and they even put my new registration sticker on for me! Tony is a pleasure to work with. His communication about the vehicle status and any future repair suggestions is always professional and trustworthy. I won't take my car anywhere but the best!
Tony and His team are real car people. I had them walnut blast My 2014 E63 AMG wagon. I was given a full car inspection. Kept notified of progress of the service and sent some before and after pics of the valves. The hourly rate I feel is reasonable. I won't hesitate to bring the car back when I get a task I can't fix Myself.
Very helpful in diagnosing and then repairing a tricky electrical issue on our Audi. Will definitely be coming back for future maintenance and repairs.

Upstate Imports has serviced three different BMW's of mine over the last few years. They have been very reliable and trustworthy. They have fixed problems that other shops couldn't. This might be one of the best mechanic shops I've ever worked with, in nearly 20 years working on cars. They did a full engine swap on my 74 Beetle, and they were so easy to work with. I especially appreciate it how open they were to being transparent and communicative throughout the process. They kept me posted, and it was no problem to visit the shop while the car is being worked on. For those driving older cars, this is an absolute diamond in the area. Plus? They're just really good guys.

Nothing special about my wiper blades, the dealership told me $250 per blade. I had to wait until the next day to receive my rear wiper blades, I received a text and call from Upstate auto imports. They followed up with phone calls to me for minor things they noticed while installing my brakes. They topped my coolant free of charge and told me if the light came back on to bring it back in. I also received a full diagnostic via text. This was important to me because as a woman these mechanics try to get over on you so having that diagnostic to reference is a great thing. I felt comfortable and satisfied with the service I received.
The best place to have your euro vehicle serviced or repaired. Competitive prices and talented technicians who really know your vehicle. Zach knows my 09 BMW 335xi better than the local dealer techs, IMO. They provide a comprehensive inspection of all systems in a viewable emailed report. Tony’s estimates & scheduling are spot on. I was passing through Syracuse in my BMW when a check engine light went on. The local BMW dealer wouldn't even look at the car. Vinny at Upstate Imports was able to resolve my problem and get me back on the road right away. You are lucky to have this business in Syracuse!
Unfortunately my Lr4 developed an issue with the shifter when it was left to sit too long while I was out of the country. Tony and his team were able to quickly make repairs and get my car back to me. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend this shop, and specifically this location for any work needed on import vehicles.

On a 2 month, cross country road trip in a 2024 mini JCW with Klassen rims and a big brake kit. I cracked a rim on the way and needed it replaced and as well as a new set of pads put on. Had a new wheel made and shipped to one of my East Coast destinations. Upstate would only do a full set of rotors pads, and sensors and would not install any of my kit, which is both particularly chosen and absolutely correct.
I would give 1 star, except I don't know what the quality of their work is. It could be quite good if you're willing to use their suppliers and pay for things that your own knowledge and experience indicate you objectively do not need
Have brought my 2022 Mercedes C300 to Upstate twice now. Both times the staff has been incredibly accommodating and reasonably priced. The shop stayed open late for me once just so I could get my car back same day. Always have been upfront about pricing and options.
Tony and the team at Upstate imports are amazing! Super thorough and did a complete inspection of my 1988 Mercedes which needed a little love. They were really flexible with what I wanted to get done and offered expert advice without being pushy and took amazing care of my car. They completed the work in one week which was so fast and were so organized and on it with communicating everything. I highly recommend them!
Upstate Imports is a Class “A” Operation !!!! Tony is a great guy, called and kept me informed as to what was needed to be done on our 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport. had an amazing experience with upstate imports. i brought my jaguar f type because it kept leaking coolant out of the coolant reservoir and i didn’t know why it did that. i changed the coolant reservoir multiple times by my self and the issue kept happening. so i decided to take it to them since most of my friend took their cars to them and they were the only reputable shop that had amazing reviews and worked on foreign cars. they figured out the issues and checked the car fully for me. they found out that the coolant cap was the wrong cap and that it kept overflowing coolant because of that. they replaced it and replaced multiple other stuff that i didn’t even know was a issue. now the car drives great! definitely will be coming back to get more stuff and performance mods done. 10/10 experience shout out to the tech and the person that kept updating me everyday with what they did to the car and what’s needed and what’s not really needed.
I was so pleased with my service. The entire team at Upstate Imports Auto Repair Syracuse goes above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced with auto repair. Everyone was so professional. Their extensive knowledge about my car and the continued communication was top notch. The detailed inspection report (with photos!), and estimate for work (which I was expecting) was so impressive. Tony and the Upstate crew were really great, they're total pros! They thoroughly checked out a used car (2008 Saab Aero), that I was considering purchasing and they did a very good job. They produced a detailed report on the condition of the vehicle and gave me options to do any, or all repairs needed, and with zero pressure.
I had many conversations with Tony about my questions or concerns, that he happily answered. In the end, because of their thorough investigation and repairs, I bought car.
Upstate took all the hesitation out of the decision to buy the vehicle. They also did a fabulously good job in detailing the car. Tony then connected me to a transport company who picked up the car in Syracuse and delivered in to me in CT.
All in all, a very professional experience. I feel very confident in recommending Tony and his team at Upstate.
I was thoroughly impressed with Upstate Imports. You would think because they work on high end cars like Porsches and BMWs there'd be an air of stuffiness in the shop. Nope. The guys there were so down to earth. They had wifi so I could still work while they were doing their thing. They've got fresh coffee, water, and snacks while you wait. I went there just to get my car inspected and what I got was my car inspected. Thoroughly. They called me out because something was wrong. Great here's an unexpected $500 bill. Showed me a problem with my exhaust. Loose and missing hardware. Of course it had to get fixed. 15 mins later I'm up paying my bill waiting for the sticker shock. I was very shocked. They charged me for my inspection. That was it. On my car i would expect to be charged for every little thing. I asked about the repair and Kyle told me that it was such a quick fix there was no need to charge. I've read their reviews, good and bad. From my own personal experience I can tell you that Kyle and his team are professional, courteous, HONEST, and good old fashioned down to earth people. I would absolutely recommend him and his shop for anything they are capable of doing. Thank you Kyle and Upstate Imports. We definitely need more of your kind in the auto repair world.
