I came a long way in danger conditions to find out their operating hours were Incorrect.

Most of the reviews are pretty correct. They do short change you on a lot of your scrap metal.

Here are a few things that I have personally learned from my experience visiting this location, and if anyone moving forward wants to scrap anything:

1.Before unloading your truck, request the per pound rate for each item that you’re bringing, that way you're sure not to waste your time.

2.This should be a no-brainer, but if you don’t like the price that they’re giving you, you can pack it up and walk away.

3. The third thing that I learned at this location is to call around to find out what the best price per pound for your items will be.

Brought in more than 20,000lbs of railroad rail and for the contracting company I work for. They marked it down as steel and tin mix. They said that's how they do it all the time. They just didn't want to pay premium for 132 steel.

DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE YOU ARE EXSPECTING A GOOD PRICE FOR!

I went there with a load of stoves and refrigerators yesterday and got an excellent price. I recommended you to my husband. My husband went with a similar load today, and they listed his load of stoves and refrigerators as dishwashers, because he had a couple, and shorted him! What kind of business are you running here?!?! This is not how you treat customers. I am very disappointed in your lack of honor.

Very happy! I've been to most of the recyclers in the metro over the years so I thought I would try Pirkle- wish I had tried them sooner. Professional, friendly and... HONEST! I'm so accustomed to arguing about the grade of metal scrap but no question with them. The rate was @market price and the scales dead-on accurate. //Been back 6 times now and always same level of professionalism and quick.

It is where I prefer to do my business and I recommend it to others

Pirkle has sold and its under new ownership, process of in and out kinda slow but its a new company so it should pick up. Same employees so same good vibe

They probably pay more than anyone else and the employees are awesome!

This is a unsafe company when driving over the road. I had this truck us dot 210957 door not be closed tightly. We are driving on I-85 at Bogg rd when the truck hit a bump the door bounces and something falls out and hit my windshield. Call them and they tried to make every excuss in the book. Unsafe behavior by truck drivers put us all in danger! Please inform them of their unsafe drivers or the next time might be wirse.

The morning of 5/13 right before exit 285 I was in the left-hand lane and a piece of debris came off of this truck and hit my car. I honked at the driver , waved and tried to get him to pull over and he didn’t.

I have tried to email and called this company with no response.

Fair Pricing on clean stainless and brass. Other users posting reviews seem to not understand the definition of clean. Efficient process - sort, weigh, and get a check cut. I took about 15 minutes to offload pickup truck load of material and get paid.

This place is A RIP OFF! The Better Business Bureau Should Close Them Down!

This company is great to do business with!! Their prices are fair and updated with market conditions. They pay you for what you are selling. Those other reviews that were negative are bogus. Some people that their metal is worth ton of money and have an unrealistic reality of what it might be worth. There is a reason why they have been in business for such along time because they care about the customer and the environment.

DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ON YOUR WEIGHT AND MONEY!!!! NO STARS!!!!!

Outstanding all around great customer service

Horrible!!!! One of their trucks broke my windshield. I was driving down and something fell out and broke my windshield. Called them and they didn't want to help. No assistance at all.... horrible

I only gave a star because that's the only way I could say their a rip off

Send a full load and it cost our company more to fill it up .they give us a $24 check never do business whit them again!!!!!!

I drove to their place to sell aluminum that came off the old windows that I replaced. I also had some scrap metal in a bucket, mostly iron. I had called them to check for the pricing on Aluminum and scrap iron. They quoted me a $0.40 per pound for Aluminum and $0.10 per pound for scrap iron. When I got there and they weigh the said metals and when they handed me a check they priced Aluminum at $0.30 and scrap iron at $0.07.

When I questioned them about the price a lady at the scale told me that Aluminum was not clean. My whole window is made of Aluminum and glass and I had removed the glass before I went there. This Aluminum is clean as it can be considering it came from old window. There was no paint or anything on it.

If I have some scrap to sell I wold not go to them next time to sell my metals.

I would try someone else such as Rand Recycling.
