This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Atlanta, GA, Gibbs Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery scores 91/100. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive: rapid arrivals (even on holidays), knowledgeable, caring drivers (often Eric/James), and dependable heavy‑duty work including transloads. Several mention fair, transparent pricing and quick help during overnight breakdowns, implying solid 24/7 coverage. Downsides appear in a few outliers: one complaint about rude phone treatment and another alleging tow damage and denial. Overall, fast response and professional conduct dominate; rudeness/damage claims are rare. Insufficient info on inventory, yard organization, or parts access.
I had a great experience with Gibbs Towing. The driver was helpful, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy. He arrived on time and got me to my destination safely. 10 out of 10—highly recommend!
We greatly appreciate Gibbs Heavy Duty towing for the service that we received from them here at W2 Logistics in Ellenwood, GA. We had a Driver break down on Christmas Eve in the middle of the night with a loaded trailer, and when we called, Eric immediately answered and within the hour he had our truck back at our yard. He went above and beyond to ensure that the truck and trailer would not be in the way of our driveway or blocking the other truck and trailers also. We hgihly recommend them for all your Heavy duty Towing needs.
I can’t recommend this towing company enough—truly a five-star experience that went above and beyond, especially during the holiday season. Today, my family and I found ourselves in an urgent situation on Christmas, with almost nowhere open and all other nearby companies overwhelmed with long wait times. Just when we thought we might be stranded or forced to wait hours, this outstanding company came to our rescue.
Eric was absolutely fantastic. He responded in record time, arriving quickly after I called, demonstrating incredible professionalism and dedication. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing—confident, courteous, and genuinely caring. He handled our situation with efficiency and kindness, making what could have been a stressful ordeal feel smooth and manageable.
What impressed me most was the combination of promptness, competitive pricing, and a level of service that truly felt personal. Eric’s quick response and attention to detail reassured us that we were in capable hands. The price was fair and transparent, adding to our trust and satisfaction.
Today, this company didn’t just provide a service—they rescued our family when we needed it most, proving that even on Christmas, there are still hardworking, dependable professionals out there ready to help. I wholeheartedly give this company a 5-star rating and will recommend them to everyone. They earned my utmost respect and gratitude today—and they’ll be my go-to from now on!!

Thank you Eric .
I can’t thank Gibbs Towing & Recovery enough, especially Eric! My tire completely shredded on the highway, and before I could even call for help, Eric stopped out of the kindness of his heart to change it. He didn’t ask for a ridiculous amount of money because was going out his way like some would do all he asked for was a Google review. I wasn’t stranded for more than 20 minutes, and he even left me with some great advice on keeping my front tires in good shape. So kind and helpful—truly a lifesaver! Extremely grateful for the help. Highly recommend their service!
