Absolutely one of the worst facilities I’ve dealt with. Over 6 hours waiting to load with zero urgency and zero communication. Staff is rude, dismissive, and clearly does not care about drivers or their time. They repeatedly ask for additional information that was already provided, yet no one can explain what exactly is missing. Instead of resolving the issue, they just keep you sitting there indefinitely. No updates, no accountability, no respect. This place operates at a painfully slow pace and treats drivers like they don’t matter. If you value your time, avoid this location at all costs. Completely unprofessional and poorly managed.
I've dealt with this place for years. The only gripe I have is they don't post their prices anymore on the website. Makes it difficult to give decent prices or know what everything is worse. Not always time to call for prices

Wait in line, drive up to the window (get up immediately on the scales) go to the window and say the pickup number, give up your license, say the number plates on the truck, wait. You will stand on the scales yourself so that she can see the weight, wait. If there is a free dock there, they will give it to you, if not, you will need to turn around and stand on the road. They will call you and tell you what the door is, you will need to stand on the dock, opening your trailer doors in advance. Calculate your truck dimensions in advance, there is little room for maneuver! Park the truck at the dock and go to the waiting room. After they call you, they put a seal on you, and you need to go to the scales. Make sure that your weight does not increase, after that you will go outside and wait for your papers at the entrance, they will call you.

I've been going to cmc for the.past 3years,ever since I got screwed over at action metals who's business practices are questionable.
As little guys with trailers,automatic push button dump trailers,we should be given somewhat of a priority,I understand bigger trucks need to get loaded and get out but lately I've been waiting for an hour to hour and fifteen minutes to get weighed,dump and weighed out.
This needs to be addressed.
I respect their fair practices and legitimate business transaction as well as their professionalism.
But I've been frustrated the past weeks waiting behind a convoy of trucks waiting to go in.
It's disappointing to say the least.
They said they are not allowed to give cash anymore per “Texas” so they wrote me a HOT check for my metal! Also when I was waiting in there office another customer said last time they were there they tried to short them $1000 and he was lucky he counted his money at the counter stay away from these crooks go anywhere else but here
What a mees place there is no sign on the street you have to stay on the street till scale is free and when you come in two docks are on the left side of the scare good luck backing it up and when finished you have to go back to the street block one lane and stay there for 20 minutes to get your paperwork

Listen to the reviews, one of those places that thinks you have all day to screw around with them, arrived at 10am for loading its now 13:30 just leaving. They don't let you watch your scales as they load you and the loaded had me at 100k. Then another hour to get it off and another hour and a half for paper work to print. Not a yard I would like to visit again
Very Heavy freight possible over axle limit weight when loaded out of here . Its a extremely crowded, cramped, complicated, and busy place. Drivers are asked to come scale and go back out then park along side of busy street till contacted by phone to come back inside to get loaded or unload,.
Docks are located in a scrap, debri compacted area.
People were nice but I'd rather not come back for pickup or delivery again
I wouldn’t recommend coming here to pick up loads. They don’t care about the drivers. I’ve been here for over six hours and I also got a ticket where they told me to park out on the street. I came in and asked if they would pay the ticket since they told me to park out there and they said they’re not responsible for that but yet they having me park on the property after I got a ticket if you get here and they tell you to park on the street tell them you got a park on their property horrible service here
Drivers, avoid here at any cost or REFUSE any pickup’s or delivery to this dump. I arrive on time for my PU at 850am and there was over 40 trucks lined up and down the street. I get to the scale house Window and the old lady tells me sorry, can't check you in until you go park on the street and come back. I tell the lady there's nowhere to park, to which she replies, sorry not my problem.
I wind up parking 2 blocks away and walking 1/4 mile in the pouring rain to check in, they take my number say wait for us to call you.
4 hours later i get my call, loading process in another 5 hours And waiting peper work is another one hours. Really is terrible and headache.

Don’t come here. Drop my metal off, then came inside where to unprofessionalism starts, they have my account under a different business name. Then said they’ll mail me a check. Or that they can find some scrap to give me back to go else where. I walked out on them, they got me for my copper and coil.
Busy place with lots of traffic in/out. My first time and didn’t know the process. Personnel including woman who checked me in were rude. Woman at scale was cursing and told me I came on the scale before truck ahead of me was off. That wasn’t true. An hour later I got seven dollars for what I took them. Never again. Process is a complete joke and more hassle than it’s worth. Thanks for nothing!
Great place. I work at a mechanic shop and doing brakes, suspension, radiators etc.. our scrap metal builds up pretty quick. This was the first time I had been to cmc recycling and they helped me through every step of the way. We will definitely be taking all of our scrap here from now on.
No matter how far I am I will always come to this place thay take care of me all the time and the staff is very helpful .....good place to come too and fast service....thanks guys....?
Extremely helpful. I had modification done to my wheelchair at another place and CMC let me weigh my wheelchair so I could find out the new weight of my wheelchair. Thanks
Jay Rodriguez is absolutely the best! He was very knowledgeable and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Jay worked hard to get us the best value for our scrap and got it done quickly. Incredible customer service! I will not use anyone else for any future scrap metal needs. If you are looking for a company to handle scrap for your business, do not use anyone but CMC, ask for Jay Rodriguez!
This is the only place I go. Not the Fort Worth branch, only the Dallas branch. I always get the highest prices here, and believe me I have shopped around allot; from Ft. Worth to Mesquite, south Dallas to Lewisville. Only CMC for me.
You should always know the market prices whenever you go recycle so you can barter for your metal. CMC posts their prices on their website.
Took in some non PCB ballasts, and old warehouse lamp fixtures. Ballasts labeled correctly but the lamps were labeled as aluminum wreckage($.08 lb) which I thought a little unfair since there was transformers in each of those which has at least #1 copper
Poor phone representative. Assumes everyone who calls to inquire about prices to compare scrap yards has stolen the property a person is trying to sell. Condescending and impious tone while commuting over the phone.
