The Welcome Center was wonderfully stocked with pamphlets, maps and NC information. The employee was very helpful although I think she was new to the area and was unable to answer some questions we had.
During our long road trip, we decided to stop here to get some rest and eat.
This place is really clean, nice and big enough. The restroom was clean. There are many benches outside here in the shades of tree ?
So it was the best place to have a relaxing meal with family or friends with a picnic vibe.??
Clean and peaceful Welcome Center with plenty of parking for cars, RVs with trailers, and even trucks—though truck parking is limited, many drivers park along the shoulder before the entrance. The grounds are well maintained, with birds singing and picnic tables both in open air and under shelters. Bathrooms are very clean. Please do your part to keep this place just as nice for the next traveler.

Truck parking spots were designed by someone that doesn't understand how combination vehicles move.

Nice facility and clean restrooms. Despite being in the middle of an interchange between two Interstate highways, it's fairly quiet and peaceful. Parking isn't great for semi trucks. There is not enough room to turn into the empty parking spaces when other trucks are parked in the adjoining spaces. However, there is plenty of parking on the gravel shoulders of the ramps if you cannot get into a space.
All the doors on the cars with trailers side of the building are locked or out of order. There are only a few spaces open on that side of the building because there are cars parked in them all. Almost all of these cars are empty but where are the people? The building is empty other than a security guard who is watching sports on his phone. The entire exit ramp is lined with parked cars as well. The building is clean inside once you finally find a door that will open. We definitely won’t stop here again because of the empty cars along with limited access to the building.
I'm traveling from Georgia to Pennsylvania on a road trip. This welcome center in North Carolina was a fun experience before I started driving in the state. It was very clean and the rest area itself was very nice. Overall, it was a good experience.
Welcome. An interesting welcome center and rest area. Decent and comfortable facilities for what you need. Welcome Centers just inside a state border tend to be nicer rest stops and this was true here. I think my favorite thing was the tourist information area.

I really liked this welcome center rest stop. We needed a bathroom for one of the kids late at night. There were plenty of restrooms and they were extremely clean. There are soda machines and snack machines. There is a very handy section also with lots of information about the area. It was closed when we went since it was so late. The landscaping was very pretty also!
Whoever designed this place does not know how much room trucks need to pull into a spot. Parking is too tight. Just end up having to park on the shoulder.
Check out the pic. Semis did that. Not on purpose. We’re not out here trying to mess up property. But we have no choice to hop that curb on that turn. We either hop the curb or hit the truck in their neighboring parking spot.
I seen the reviews that the parking spots are tight for truckers; but I see plenty opportunities to park on the side going in/out . Just going to have to walk to the restroom but clean and quiet waiting to go to sams for delivery, overnight parking for truckers
Beautiful Welcome Center/Rest Area the people who work here are the sweetest and super helpful! The bathroom was clean and it smelled amazing when I walked in.
At 2am, it's pretty quiet. Many travellers are resting in their vehicles. State Troopers have patrolled area twice in the last hour. Bathrooms are open and clean. Some vending for snacks and sodas. Overall, it's quiet and appears peaceful and clean.
I've traveled over 100,000 miles in a little over three years between two homes in Florida and North Carolina Carolina but this is the first time stopping in this welcome center. The main lobby area was closed but the whole place was very clean with nothing out of place. The bathroom.... spotless! I don't think I've ever used a public bathroom this clean. I normally wouldn't take a picture of a bathroom fixture but this was pristine. Well done NC Welcome Center staff!
