Car got towed early tuesday Dec. 23rdcalled this company to con firm if they had my car, lady said they did told me the price $350 (redic)@10an I got there @ 7pm they were closed called again and a man answered telling me they closed at 5:15pm and will not open again until Sat Dec. 28th now how the hell your going inconvience me for 4 days and why I was not informed about this when I called earlier ... livid
WORST PLACE EVER!!! Was not told their policy and then I came back to grab my belonging out of the car and the manager of the place degraded me and talked down to me! They should all be fired and the place shouldn’t be able to be running under the horrible staff!
The worst ever. My grandson had wreck this morning and the driver of truck 8was very rude to them.the customer is always right. I am in customer service and have been for 30 plus years. Please get your employees in line.
WORST PLACE EVER!!!! My husband and I had our vehicle seized in Rockingham County and before we could fill out the paperwork for an innocence owner petition at the clerk of court who also gave us the run around our vehicle was towed from Mcgee towing in eden all the way to CHARLOTTE NC!!!!. This is absurd and the disrespect we received from the gentleman upon arrival at Eastway Wrecker that released the vehicle is disturbing. We felt robbed and were verbally threatened as he kept saying he was going to keep our vehicle if we didn't shut up! The system is all for the ones whom break the law and make things hard as he'll for the ones who follow the laws and are honest.
People working there are very disrespectful and crooks, liars who won’t accept their mistakes and they mistreat customers, it’s just that you have to deal here bcos of government contract. People should complain to the government departments like police who use their services.

I was involved in a car accident my vehicle was towed by this company my title and one of my favorite bag was stolen the employees there were very rude ,unprofessional, and misleading with just a plain we don’t have any involvement in your missing items. They have no policy these people are crooks at it’s finest

Hate that I have to even give a review on this seeing my daughter was in a road rage accident and totalled out my car. The staff was super helpful and friendly got my things from my vehicle quick and easy. Hope I don't have to come here again but knowing how Charlotte drivers are I'm sure I will!
They are the worst towing company on the planet I'm convinced. My car was seized a year and a half ago for an alleged DWI which eventually got dismissed.and I got a court order to get my car released they knew I was coming for it and they gave me the price that it would cost me to get it out.
They said I had some milk the order plus give my insurance company permission to look at the damage and a copy of my ID which they got. When Allstate went to go and declare it totals they told them it was auctioned out the day after my release paper was dated.. they knew I was coming
Our daughter’s car was towed here following an MVA in Charlotte in which her car was totaled. She noticed several things missing from her car when she went to collect her belongings the next day, including cash. The only people with access to her vehicle at that time had been the tow company and the police. When she brought the missing items to the attention of the tow company, Eastway, they claimed to have no knowledge of or involvement in the missing items.
On that note, everyone there is extremely helpful in all other areas.
Why is a government impound lot closed on Friday? Got release papers and getting charged 30 extra for weekend when was in Charlotte Friday couldn't get my truck back. They took unjustly. Have to pay towing, storage when win case have to sue to get money back we have to pay to get truck released.
The way they operate sucks. The lack of customer service. Short tempered. Careless. Unsympathetic. All about the money. Took my title and cash...All because my car broke down on the hwy... this system really socks. Taking advantage of people can't be a good career. How do they sleep at night.
If you’re able to, avoid them. Was in an accident last August and had to let them tow my car. The tow truck driver insisted on driving my manual car up onto the truck and managed to destroy a relatively new $1200 clutch. When I got to the lot my car reeked of clutch. Essentially paid them $250 to tow my car a mile down the road and in the process destroy an expensive clutch that i’ll now need to replace. Other than their incompetent drivers, service was great. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and sweet.
I didn’t wanna leave five stars, mostly because I was mad that my car got towed and I had to shell out over $200 to get it back, plus the Uber from Uptown. BUT- it was my fault that my car got towed, and when I showed up they were kind to me, and explained that the reason the price is higher is because they cover the citation on your behalf. There was no damage to my car, and no real runaround when I got there to retrieve it. Pay, scan license, explain payment, leave.
Very different than other tow companies that I’ve encountered.
I needed my work van towed in a timely manner and they did just that. Driver was a good guy and the folks I spoke with on the phone were nice and professional.
If 0 stars were possible I would give it. I was in a motorcycle wreck in the hospital more than 10 days and they are wanting over $1500 to go see the motorcycle because it sat at the location more than 10 days. She wouldn't waive the fee and kept putting me on hold. She wouldn't tell me if it was totaled, send pictures, or anything. This is the worst place I have ever dealt with. Money Hungry place.
They towed our car from a wreck.we went to get our belongings out of the car before our insurance company picked it up. The people at Eastway were so nice & helpful . It is not easy to get your belongings out of a wrecked car you loved, But they helped to make it a much more pleasant experience. They are a great group of people !
Very polite and good customer service by everyone even in a bad situation (that was my fault). Even included the citation fees in so they could pay them for me. Just remember to bring cash for ParkIt! citation tows. Watch for the signs that explain the hours for parking and pay your meter using the app so you avoid being towed. Thank you for great service!
Do NOT use this place!!!! Our truck was stolen and once found Charlotte PD chose this dumpster fire place to pick it up and store it. We live out of state and could not make it back for two days to pick the truck up. When my husband arrived there was not any body damage or any flat tires. It was stored there 5 days. When an outside transport company delivered our truck, there was body damage and a flat tire. The driver has photos to prove it was in that condition when he picked it up.
Customer service is terrible. Company purposely gives repair shops a hard time when trying to obtain your vehicle. They do this to bump up your storage fees. Any time I called to ask any type of questions, they were very rude and constantly rushing me off the phone. Please note the Company only takes Cash and Certified cashiers check . Keep in mind, I did not choose this place . Police had my car towed after an accident and gave me their business card and address. Will never use the company again, and recommend others to find another place.
Horrible Customer service. I don't know what type of business that doesn't take any card payments only cash like they are living in the stone age. Their customer service treats you with a lack of dignity and respect. One of those workers screams at you like a dog another worker lady has a horrible attitude she needs to be taught some manners. In general these people need to be tamed and trained, because there's not much difference between a wild dog and screaming bad attitude customer reps.
These people are thieves. I was in an accident and they held my car until my insurance company was about to get a tow from their lot. Meanwhile, I had belongings in the trunk and my backseat, small items. Neither one of these areas were affected, therefore there was no need for my stuff to get stolen. I called and supposedly the surveillance cameras were checked..... surprising, no one was shown stealing my personal items. Had I known my stuff was going to be taken, I would have taken my entire car to work or had someone come to get my stuff. CMPD called this service, definitely not my choice.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I had been in contact with the company on numerous occasions after my accident. I followed up with them and they told me the SOME of the information I needed to know in order to get my car towed to the body shop. I sent them what they needed, then I didn’t hear anything back, so I reached back out to find out they hadn’t even checked their email for DAYS! They continued to let me know what they needed piece by piece! The information was sent over, and once again I didn’t hear anything. So I went into the office to try to resolve it and get my car to the body shop like I needed a week ago. Julie said they hadn’t contacted me by saying, “we don’t check the email often.” , “we don’t contact the customers back.” , “We didn’t receive the email you said was sent!”. All lies. The same email they said they didn’t receive a week before, was pulled up once they actually read their email. Laura was the one who asked for the information and didn’t follow through. Julie gave us the wrong name of the owner of the company when we asked for it, so we had to read a plaque on the wall to find out his real name. Overall I refuse to pay the full storage bill for their mistake and lack of following up! They were arguing with me and it was extremely unprofessional. The customer service was horrible and their attitudes were horrible.
So my car broke down next door to their location at the QT gas station. Being so close and close to where I needed it towed it surprised me when they charged me $100 to have my car towed 5.2 miles. well, once arriving at the mechanic, my suspicion was confirmed that it should have only cost me $40. And after the day I had with car and phone issues, I now have a mission to never let anyone use them again, who don't want to be taken advantage of. Of course they won't be put out of business, as the city contracts them for towing, making enemies on that side of towing also.
I missed the signage and parked my car in a tow away zone (after 4pm). 100% my fault. Nice enough folks. Then again... they did tow my car while I was in a meeting, and then charged me $150 four days before Christmas. Kind of a jerk move. Still... nice enough. Two stars. Would not want to have happen again.
These people shouldn't be in business and the Charlotte Meck Police shouldn't call these horrible crooks to tow your car why them when you go into there office they are so dam rude and if you don't go check on your car in a timely manner trust me they will steal your stuff. They have this policy you can't go back to your car after 10 days this is because they have done something illegal to your property scum of the earth these people are don't do business with these thugs.....
If I could do negative stars I would. My car was stored here for a few months. Upon picking it up there was damage to the rear bumper in excess of $1,000. When I picked up my car I was told, by Tanya at the front desk, that the 'big-boss' would call me that day by 5pm. I never received a call. The following Monday I called again and was brushed off saying I would receive a call back, which never came. The following Thursday I called once again and the woman who answered my call told me they were not responsible for the damage and refused to give me the phone number to speak with her boss. The are unprofessional and rude at the least. Stay clear of this company.
My car was towed by this company supposedly at the request of the city, however, it was not reported in the allotted time the city requires. 5 hours after the tow my car was still not in the system which resulted in me making a stolen vehicle report! A month later I get a letter saying the police department found my car on their lot! They never called my car in! They entered my car in as a completely different car, a different tag number, and no VIN number! THE DMV found my car on their lot, because they investigate towed cars that have been sitting too long! They claim everything is entered correctly but the police department can see that the tried to edit it 3 times... To add more incorrect info I may add! They even tried to edit it AFTER the DMV located my vehicle! This business is shady to say the least, it's companies like this that make people not want to use any small business! They stole my car even though they blame the city they are the only people that are benefiting from having my car! Thieves! The city of Charlotte even agrees that they likely tried to steal my car it apparently happens a lot with tow companies! I missed two weeks of work because of these people and I'm almost 8 months pregnant! They are pathetic! They want me to pay almost $1000 tbh they should be paying me for all I've gone through because of them!
