My day started off terribly, but Charles arrived with a positive attitude and a real willingness to solve the problem. His professionalism and determination quickly got me back up and running, and I truly appreciate the help. Because of service like this, I would definitely recommend them.

Towed my car and didn't put it in the system for nearly 24 hours. 320, the predation of average everyday people is actually insane. Pricing people out of their cars, I can't buy food. Get medicine. Anything for the next 2-3 weeks probably. And these people don't care, they only want money. Disgusting practices disgusting company, I wish the worst for tow companies.

Amazing company - I've struggled finding the right words for how amazing this company is. Our rollback broke down and we called Hunters to have it towed. We didn't know we had picked the most amazing company to do it. They are the most helpful, compassionate company in the cut throat world of towing. Not only did they come in the middle of the night to tow our truck, they didn't even charge us due to wanting to help us because of being a tow company as well. Now how many companies would have done that in Charlotte?!?! Then they were willing to help us diagnose the truck. Talk about going above and beyond for a customer!!! If you need a tow whether it's a car or larger truck, you need to call these guys, they are top notch! This happened in January and as we drove through Charlotte a month and a half later to deliver a car, one of their trucks went by us and I've never had such a peaceful feeling knowing if we needed something, they were there. Thanks Hunter's Towing, you all are just amazing and we thank you for all you did for us. It took this long for me to write a review because I couldn't find the right words for how great you are!!

I had a very upsetting and unprofessional experience with Hunter Auto & Wrecker Service following a roadside accident on I-85 North near Freedom/Brookshire. The police called this company to tow my vehicle to Concord Honda (Invoice #434891-1). From the start, the tow operator was visibly irritated and spoke to me in a hostile manner despite the fact that I had just been hit and was clearly shaken. Instead of providing calm, professional assistance, his demeanor made an already stressful situation worse. After dropping my car at the dealership, he offered to take me to a nearby Circle K. During that ride, the interaction crossed a serious boundary when he stated that he lived alone and offered me his personal number so I could “stay with him.” This was completely inappropriate and made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. When I politely declined, he made a dismissive and disrespectful remark. As a customer in a vulnerable situation, I expected professionalism and safety neither of which I received. I have requested a refund and follow-up from management regarding this matter. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I originally called it in Monday, checked on Tuesday stated still investigating...no problem, Wednesday called and emailed for response and stated I would give 48 hours prior to proceeding Clay stated I was giving threats. . I did reach out and inquired about a refund that stated due to my impatience and two different stories. I was told no laws were broken. I absolutely told Clay that if I didn't obtain a response I would forward this on. I appreciate the tow but that is uncomfortable for any woman to deal with.

This company is very unprofessional… Today I observed what looked to be. The owner of Hunter towing company arrive on a job site where Accident had just happened(in his personal vehicle and didn’t even have tow trucks on the scene yet) and it was another tow company on the site towing the vehicles and the owner from Hunter‘s. Towing got very irate and started yelling at the other Towing company and told him that he was not supposed to be out here that this is their zone and the other company which I believe was BGM TOWING remained very professional during this altercation and continue with his job, the police escort the guy from Hunter TOWING of the accident scene !! This did not represent professionalism and I just Won’t Charlotte to know the type of company (HUNTERS) what what we are dealing with as a towing company that has sorority in Charlotte, North Carolina. I believe they should’ve conducted business better than what they did and it was very unprofessional so I’m just shedding light on Hunter’s TOWING, heads of staff!!!

No one wants to get into a car wreck and no one wants to have their car towed because it won't start... BUT if you need someone to tow it, you might as well call Hunter Auto & Wrecker Service because they show up when they say they will and they're kind when you need it most. That was my experience recently... Jared came out and shook my hand and introduced himself which may seem small but it meant a lot after the anxiety I was dealing with after my wreck. I also forgot to ask for a receipt and called into their main line and got connected with Stephanie.. a true gem. She was happy to help me and even explained that even though I was asking for a receipt, I'd also need the invoice for insurance purposes (totally saving me from having to call again). Her kindness was much appreciated! After that experience, I saved Hunter Autos number in my phone, just in case I ever need them again!

My son’s car stopped while he was driving and his insurance Geico, contacted Hunter auto & wrecker service and twice they cancelled in route to where my son was stranded. This company has reprehensible service and I believe that they are liars who perhaps pretend to go to someone in need but at the last minute cancel so that they can subvert money from insurance companies. They need to be out of business and held accountable for their actions and unreliability. I advise to stay away from this company because they are not reliable and they are illegitimate.

Called for a quote. I have historically paid ~~ $175-$200 to have a local tow for a Tesla. They quoted me 275 to 300. I asked for clarification based on towing the car 3 miles, and they said “yeah for a nice car like that it’s going to be about $300”. Pure price gouging based on the appearance of affluence. I called another service and they’re providing the same service for half the price. Wild….

Today, Hunter's service rep, Alex, came to tow my car and he was professional, on time, efficient, and polite. Thanks for your great service today and getting me to Carolina Eurowerks in record time!

Alex rescued my van today; my family and I broke down on our way to our Christmas lunch. He was very respectful and had a great attitude. I very much appreciated his help in such a stressful moment.

Horrible. They towed my car, and damaged it without ever repairing or covering the damages. Their insurance rep is a scammer who literally thinks she can just choose to not respond. Overall horrible experience, customer service and no trustworthy.

Hello, thank you for getting my son’s car for me today. Y’all were a blessing to me and my son. My tower Lucky towed it without a key and was very polite doing it. He didn’t even complain. It was raining and cold out there. I couldn’t find a tower anywhere because of that. It was really early in the morning too. So, thanks to you Hunter towing and Independence Towing Company for recommending y’all. You both understand the assignment and got some great towers to boot! Really nice to do business with you guys. The customer service woman who answers the phone is very good at her job and is helpful. It seems to me that this would not be a pleasant type of work - taking money from people who are struggling with various and significant challenges. I understand that it is a business, but I feel that it charges unreasonable fees for the service provided. Like grocery stores who raise the price of water when a hurricane is coming to the area. I feel taken advantage of.

My car was towed here after it was recovered by the police, and the staff was surprisingly friendly and helpful. One of the guys even shared a snack while I waited, which really eased the stress of the situation. The location is easy to get to, and people were coming and going the whole time, so they clearly stay busy. Overall, a much better experience than I expected from a tow yard.

I had a great experience despite an unexpected breakdown. Alex came to the rescue in a very timely and professional manner. He was kind, very patient and quick to accommodate the necessary changes in having my vehicle towed to a different location other than what I originally planned. Thank you Alex and team for making this experience a great one!

I had a flat tire this morning and a roadside assistance came and towed my car. Scott is the one who picked me up. He was very nice and helpful. I just want to say thank you Scott.

HunterAWS was professional throughout the entire emergency recovery of our CAT 289D Skidsteer. We had it stuck in Carolina clay over 3 ft coming over the tracks and had 2 other companies try to recover it without success. The Hunter team sized up the situation quickly and accurately and even reconsider several options as access to the stuck CAT was over 250 ft away. A mark of skilled expertise and experience, weighing all risks and considerations. They have my wholehearted endorsement when you need true professionals in an emergency situation. I will do business with them again!

I made a claim thru my insurance to have someone from Hunter come and change my flat tire at 1.20pm, they first said they will arrive at 2.25, I waited no problem, no one showed up on time, I called 20 min later to hear that he is late and will be in 15 min. Later they changed eta to 3.38 and no one showed up either. I called again to hear from owner that its not their problem and I have to wait 20 min more. I was with 2 kids waiting in total for 2+ hours and expected at least apology for being late, but instead he yelled at me and hang up without any information. I ended up fixing everything myself, but i thought I have to bring this here as an example of rude and disrespectful service. if you are so busy why would you accept request and make people wait for nothing?

Yesterday my son got in an accident on 485 and his suv hit the wire guard rail. The metal wire wrapped around his exhaust system which stopped us from being able to move it. The tow truck driver that came first said he couldn’t get it towed out. Mike G from Hunter Towing arrived next and he was able to get the suv loose and towed the vehicle to the shop for us. He was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Thanks for sending Mike G to take care of the job

This is a great tow service, my friend had a charger there for a couple of days, after he paid his tow and storage bill, they let him leave the car for a few more days. Without charging storage fee until he was able to get new key made. Great people here.

My insurance company hired this company to tow my car to a local dealership, and Willie the driver that was dispatched to my location, was extremely courteous and professional. He was able to get me and my car to the dealership in no time, and I did not have to wait long at all for his arrival. I would highly recommend this towing company to anyone with towing needs.

So I caught a flat and had to call a towing company to take me to the tire shop, in which I was introduced to Alex. He was so amazing and helpful I couldn’t ask for a better person! We had a great conversation to the tire shop and he was extremely great though out the whole service! Thank you so much again if I could give him 100 stars I would!

Very thankful for AJ. He came and saved the day for me and family. Our Jeep wagoneer decided not to start in a one car garage on our last day of our trip and after 2 previous tow trucks, AJ came and analyzed the situation to help work with us he was very determined to make it work with some good laughs and great humor he made it work to get our truck out and safely delivered to the dealer. We appreciate it ! We definitely recommend him and company !

Willie and Mitchell are AMAZING, they were personable, kind, quick, compassionate! THANK YOU! I needed a battery after having it for 3 yrs and it needed a charge again. Def getting a new battery, quickly. But they had the best charger box and ready to go for my Suburban. My insurance sent out another company that couldnt charge it, so we knew who to request this time( Hunter Wrecker) with the best tools to help my big vehicle. I was on my last delivery for an app that I use and ran out of gas, which led to needing a battery charge. And i was an hour late picking up my kids from school. Willie came out today and Mitchell came out a few weeks back. Having a positive attitude goes along way, in these stressful situations.

Hunter saved the day. And I am so glad I called them. I had a 22,000 pound articulating boom lift stuck in a gully. Doug, the driver expertly rigged the lift and got it out of there. It was just about to flip over. I knew when I found myself in this situation who I needed to call. Really, I dont know of another outfit that could have done it. Thanks Doug. You saved us

I recently had a pretty gnarly situation to deal with for a non-profit project I've been working with which involved moving a 20' and 40' containers. The 20' was on a 12-ton utility trailer, and the 40' was on a shipping container chassis. Both containers had windows and other non-standard items attached to them, and had to be removed from their trailers and set on the ground in two different locations. I was concerned about the timing, damage to the windows and other parts of the units, and various other related logistics. I went by Hunter's office, which is right between NODA and uptown, and met with the owner, Rick Hunter, who came recommended by Rick Beaver, the owner of Piggyback trucking - and has also been very helpful with this project. Rick Hunter sat down with me to discuss the project, and surprised me by almost immediately going himself to the project location and scoping out the containers and one of the destination sites. We discussed our plans, and he was surprisingly accommodating of my uncertainty about the destination (I was still figuring out exactly where they needed to go). When the day came, he sent out his heavy lifter (a very impressive large vehicle used for lifting trucks out of rivers and that sort of thing I think), a flatbed, and a regular towing rig, and supervised some of the operation himself. It was a tremendous relief to get these boxes moved, and I'm convinced almost nobody else in town could have pulled off Hunter did in terms of experience and equipment. I'm very grateful for all their efforts. Rick's a no-nonsense guy, and I know from past experience he's partnered with Habitat for Humanity, and will not hesitate to recommend them for towing and equipment relocation.
