Honest and straight to the point. They know how to work on the car. The mechanics are friendly and the owner Johnny is super cool. I took my truck for check engine light and one time my GLE for gas cap repair. I have taken my other vehicles couple of times. Me and my family we are his regular whenever we need to get our car seen by a reputable mechanic and trustworthy garage. 5/5

I called to get a quote for a diagnostic, he asked “what type” and I replied “a underbody diagnostic” he said “he don’t do that and don’t know what that is”. I was getting ready to ask him about some other repairs but he cut me off and said “call back when I have something going on”. And hung up rudely. I wouldn’t trust them with my vehicle due to poor customer service. How someone talks to you is how they are going to treat you and I would definitely not risk my vehicle under their care. Blessings

This shop is an absolute jewel in the Queen City. A gentleman by the name of Johnny runs the shop and this is one of the most honest and courteous guys you will ever meet. He will clearly explain the cause of your issue and the repair to fix. The work they do is straightforward, efficient, precise and extremely competitively price. Their focus all day is to repair cars properly and send customers off happily.

My alternator went out and I brought my car in when they were closing at 5pm. My car was fixed and ready to be picked up over lunch the next day. Great service and price.

There is not much more comforting than finding honest competent….old fashioned….mechanics. I grew up in a service station, my dad a mechanic and owner in the late 60’s, and i pumped gas for the customers. My dad had a reputation all over the city for being honest, courteous, and very customer oriented. He made the family a good living, but more important had pride in his principles. And…why aren’t more people pursuing these skills.

I’ve had numerous great experiences as a customer at King Auto Repair for at least 12-13 years now. I started with my Mercedes ML350 and now my Volkswagen Passat. The VW is now at 135,000 miles, King Auto has provided service over 92,000 of those miles. The owner has always been gracious and helpful. He’s always advised things to watch out and plan for. Typically can see me same day, if the bays are occupied, I’ll return as he’s available. Only a few times, I’d leave the auto and return upon completion. I refer friends and clients. That’s how much I trust their ability.

I’ll keep it short and sweet. I’m glad I chose King Auto Repair to service my vehicle. Johnny is very knowledgeable and was able to run a diagnostic and discover the root cause of my check engine light. In just a few short hours, my problem was solved. No more check engine light. If it ever comes on again or if I need any other services I will definitely return to Johnny.

I took in my wife's Mini Cooper for an oil change a couple other places and they couldn't get the oil filter. "Take it to the dealer?" they suggested. I was like "Nah, I'd rather not." I called Johnny at King Auto and he said to bring it in (on a Thursday afternoon). They took a look and said it wouldn't come off without breaking. "Bring it back Monday. We can try again because the only way to do this is to be ready to replace the part if it breaks and I can't do that on a Friday" So I brought it back and they were able to fix it without breaking it! They charged me about their normal rate for an oil change (bring your own oil/filter for that service, because their shop is pretty small). I went back with my older Toyota Camry for suspension issues. I'd had new struts installed elsewhere and my previous guy said I needed new rack & pinion bushings for about $1500. Johnny looked at it and thought the previous mechanic might have misdiagnosed or even intentionally loosened everything! So for a couple months I was driving with an unsafe steering situation, when all I needed was to bring it to King Auto. They're very honest and have been great with my family's two cars. I’m fairly new to the Charlotte area and was in need of a mechanic. I came across King Auto via Google search, read a lot of positive reviews and decided to reach out. Johnny and his team took care of me and my 2013 Camry. I was losing coolant fluid and they were able to properly diagnose and fix it up in no time. Very honest and price was very fair. Will be going back for all of my mechanical needs.

Johnny is the only guy in town I trust with my cars. Always reasonable on price and won't nickel and dime you. An honest businessman who will only do required work on your car. He always calls and explains the situation before he does anything to your car .

I stopped by to have them check my brake pads and they were right on it, told me the front were good but the back ones were worn out ( I had heard some screeching ). I went and got the pads , returned and in less than 30 minutes I was on my way home. I’m so glad I found these great folks. Labor price was very reasonable. I’ll be using them when the old Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo needs attention.

They took care of my daughters plugs and coils on her truck and then noticed the brakes were going too. Did it all the same morning we dropped it off and for a reasonable price. Stays in touch which is unheard of these days. Thumbs up to this place!!

I have had my car serviced at King Automotive multiple times. Services such as oil changes, brake pad changes, annual inspections, radiator fix, etc. I have nothing to say be positive things about the services provided. He has always been able to work me in for anything that comes up and is upfront about costs; offering exceptional pricing and completes the job in a timely manner keeping me updated throughout the process. I saw the great reviews online and decided to give this place a try because they let you bring your own parts. I had 2 drive belts replaced today for my Sonata and was in and out in 45 mins for a very fair price. The owner and his staff were extremely nice. I will definitely be returning for all the future work needed on my car

Great experience with Johnny, he was able to get us in fast, serviced at a more than fair price, and communicated with us throughout the entire process. Customer service was excellent. Johnny is really knowledgeable and educated us on what he was going to do and what parts were needed. He followed up with us the next day to ensure our problem had been fixed. I have been a regular customer at King Auto Repair for over 20 years. I can confidently say that this is the best auto repair service I have ever been to. My family has never had any issues with their services and all of the mechanics are very honest and trustworthy. Any issue I have had with my family’s 5 cars have been quickly resolved. This is the best mechanic in town. I have been getting all my car fixed here for years. The mechanics are so honest and kind. They always offer the best advise and service when it comes to my cars. I have had multiple issues the owner fixed without even asking for money. My 2005 Honda Odyssey van would not work at all. The engine was completely dead and Irfan and the mechanics rebuilt me a new engine for a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. I have been going here for over 10 years and have nothing but good things to. The mechanics go above and beyond to solve issues with great care.
