I been coming to this store for about 5 years now and only reason why because it’s convenient to me. I keep forgetting to leave a review in how unhelpful their employees and rude like you begging them something. They can learn a thing or two from O’Rielys
Placed an online order. Drove 45 minutes out of the way to pick up. Upon arrival was told they had to cancel the order. Was not notified of the cancellation.
I stopped in advance auto today on Rocky River. The young man Dennis helped me. He was absolutely great. He was so helpful. I had to buy a key battery. He took the key fob apart cleaned it off and got me straight very impressive, young man.jsp
Service with a smile! I stopped in for new wiper blades and the staff helped me pick the correct blades and installed them, all in less than 10 minutes. Both were very friendly and helpful.
Feeling out this survey, I honestly forgot how rude things were when I came in today. I was not greeted and it was noticeable as it appears the manager was standing by himself at the front register and did not say a thing. It felt extremely awkward. I bought a bolt that I was skeptical to buy but the manager advised that it was for the truck that I have so I took his word for it. It turns out that it was the wrong size bolt and when I bought it back looking to return it for the correct size he said (the mgr) would not return it. I told him that I would be fine with exchanging or store credit but he would not do either. I asked multiple times about exchanging it because I never had this issue in the past 20 years and I have spent thousands of dollars at advance over the past 20 years as my main auto parts supplier on my older cars and trucks. This is actually on top of the fact that I was sent a brake hose in the mail that should have included the washers from advance but did not the previous day. After not being able to exchange or obtain store credit for a part the manager advised would work, I went to NAPA on Albemarle Rd and they did have the correct size and they also gave me the additional washers that Advance should have sent me for free. They have just gained a very loyal customer. Its a shame but I cannot afford to waste money like this at a store and feeling slightly disrespected as a customer. In my honest opinion, the Rocky River store where I bought the bolt from has not had the same service I used to be used to a couple years ago. Lastly, per the question above, I asked the manager at checkout if I can use my Speed Perks credit and he said, you can use it online... I am sure I am missing something in this review but I will leave it at that for now. I will be enjoying NAPA after I use up whatever is left on my Speed Perks credit.
I had to stop in for some new windshield wipers and Dennis went above and beyond to help with picking the correct blades. He also came out in the pouring rain to install them for me without any complaints. Top notch customer service and very nice gentleman. Thanks again Dennis!
I’m late in this review, but a week ago I had a dead battery with a lot of corrosion. I needed it replaced and another auto parts store (not Autozone) refused because.. reasons unclear.
I drove into this store and was blown away by Dennis! His knowledge, professionalism, and humor made my day. He changed out my battery and it did take some effort on his part. It’s clear Autozone has a star in their company! Many thanks, Dennis!!
I had that pleasure working with Dennis from AutoAdvance on Rocky River. He was helpful, kind, and professional. It was extremely hot outside and he told me to stay inside in the AC while he works on my car. He changed the battery and my windshield wipers with a big smile on his face! I came in with a ton of questions because I’m trying to do things in my own — opposed to hiring someone. Store Manager, Dennis was so helpful. I needed a lot, little to my knowledge: Freon, cabin air filter and even coolant.
Thank you, Dennis for “holding my hand” as I navigated this. I now feel like I can do anything — with gloves on atleast 😂
Can't go out after dark to check the check engine light after dark due to safety. I don't agree with this. I understand safety. Put up cameras and more lighting. Stand behind what you advertise.
The staff was friendly and helpful as we needed a new battery for our van. We later returned with the old battery to get a small refund. convenient location with lots of parking.
Don’t waste your time going to the store. I ask him to check the code on my dashboard to see what it was saying and he said to me the only thing we’re going to do is give you the code and you’ll have to look it up on Google. Then he just stood there ….. and did not go to my car. Then he said you still want the Power steering fluid? I said yes and he did not come to my car at all!! I’m done with this location!!! They’re very unconcerned or either they’re clueless!! SMH 😠
My van was having issues so I stopped by this store. Once I received the item I needed the to fix my issues Drew and Rosario went above and beyond to help me resolve my problem. Thank you both very much. Advance auto give them a raise they deserve it.
A very responsible young lady at the desk made a command decision on a bad battery I brought back. She gave me no Hassels, listened to my complaint and made a good choice to just swap out the item with no guilt attached or loss of value to me. I appreciated it very much and told her that I would put a good review on Google for her efforts.
I had the pleasure of stopping in to grab a few things for my car. I don’t know much about cars. Rosie was AMAZING and that is an understatement. You can tell she has a passion for her job and knows what she’s is talking about. She helped me get everything I needed. She was very patient and had amazing customer service skills. Though I do live closer to the sunset road location, I will drive here for WAY better service and help. I hope her great work ethic and positive attitude do not go unnoticed. Thank you Rosie!!!
Marilyn (the assistant manager, not sure of how to spell her name) went out of her way to help my wife and I diagnose some battery trouble we were having. Instead of selling us a battery no questions asked, she went outside and observed that severe corrosion was probably affecting my car starting up. She cleaned off the corrosion while educating us on what was happening, how long batteries should last, and what to look for if the problem happened again. When it comes time to buy anything for my car, I will be returning to this store because of her!!
Roderick and Marylin were super helpful! They both went above and beyond to make sure my car was good before I left the parking lot. Will definitely be back if I need any other parts or services. Thank you both so much!
Always a great help, even though they cant do code scans they allowed me to borrow scanner and read my codes and figure my issue. They ordered me an O2 sensor and hope to have that light out by tonight. Great staff.
The store does not allow returns on items apparently. I purchased a brand new battery from an employee from this store. We installed it there in the parking lot and tested it. Turns out the alternator was bad and the battery I came to the store with was just fine. THIS STORE WOULD NOT ALLOW A RETURN 10 MINUTES AFTER PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION. Go to AutoZone, this place is terrible. 0/5
Came in to purchase rear brakes and rotors. Had tried to purchase online and do in store pickup, yet website was down. If purchased online, you get a discount. Told the gentleman who waited on me. He happened to be the manager. He gave me the discount anyways. That was great. Service from the seasoned employees is great. Younger guys just need more time to understand how important it is to go the extra mile. That's what keeps me coming back to Advance Auto vs any other auto part location. I don't shop around, I go where the customer service is best. You'll get it here. I'd recommend.
Purchased a couple things online from this store expecting the products that I paid for to be in stock as advertised. Shortly after, I got a call from this store stating that the product were not in stock as advertised. So I called back within 10 minutes of the missed call to speak with a rep on how to proceed. Once connected, I got a non professional response from both the rep and manager from start to finish. I suggested to cancel since the rep didn’t know how to proceed and manger could not find time to speak to me directly - as he was the person to call and leave me a voicemail about this in the first place. I got a ride hand after deciding to cancel. This was a simple task and was not priortized regardless of the circumstances this store had at the time - that’s not a customer’s issue.
Very clean and well organized auto parts store. They are always well staffed with polite and helpful employees. They''ll even install your battery. You can order online and pickup your stuff in 30 minutes so you're in and out in no time.
Had what we needed for the most part, but did not have any gloves in size small and only two pairs in medium. The blatent sexism was palatable throughout the whole store. The service was fine other than that.
Update: They put out more medium gloves. They almost fit, but I'd still need smalls.
Super friendly staff and they were very quick and attentive. Helped me find the bet deal instead of trying to get me to buy the most expensive thing. Will definitely come back for any car related purchases!
Do not shop here and expect to receive good service, especially if you are a woman! The men at this store were very condescending toward me. I watched as the employees dealt with other customers, who happened to be males and was appalled at the vast difference in quality received by myself and the male customers. I was so upset that I decided to take my business elsewhere. I actually went to another auto parts store and received the same part for a few bucks cheaper, so I guess it all worked out in the end. However, these employees should be ashamed of themselves for their unacceptable customer service!
