I love this store especially on some Wednesdays when they do 50% off. Store basically has everything you can think of.

I haven't been here in quite some time and I definitely won't be returning. Stopped by looking at Pajamas and I see $9.99 price tags on old nightgowns. What on earth are you people thinking? Years ago this store was a good place to shop not anymore. Corporate greed has taken over. What a shame. In the past this store were very helpful to serve an underprivileged community. The only thing you cater too now are lining your greedy pockets. Shame on you.

Since they opened up a second store, this location has become really dull for small items. The shelves are always empty. Th3y must send everything to the new store, which isn't as nice as thos one. This was my go-to place every other day, but I am struggling to even want to come any longer.

SUPER RUDE ASSOCIATE! This associate yelled at me for looking through one of the racks going out… like I knew you weren’t suppose to do that. In many salvation army’s and this one, store associates have welcomed me to look through the rack, so this was very displeasing and ruined my shopping trip. If you don’t want customers looking through rack put a sign on it and don’t argue with them when they said sorry. Absolutely ruined my day. Hopefully they will keep him in the back not interacting with customers.

The store has an odd odor when I walked in. they do 50% off everything on Wednesday (unlike other thrift stores) but just be aware if there are holes, stains or not in good condition go through each item before purchasing. The quality isn't good but cheaper than good will or value thrift. I got a jacket didn't realize the back side isn't good, the new balance one is good and the michael kors suit. sadly they take any refunds or do exchange. I don't like the fact that they staple price tag on the item.

I like this thrift store, and each trip I find plenty of good bargains. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I do miss the old store off Independence Boulevard but I am glad to see the staff who transferred here 🙂

If your looking for a way to get clean from addiction and press the restart button on life this may be the place for you.

Nearly every item of clothing I looked at was stained. Not sure if there's an issue with water leakage or something. Store was organized. Great place to get furniture, although it is overpriced. Likely will not return.

I’ve been to dozen Salvation Army thrift stores and this one is, hands down, the absolute worst. The staff is incredibly useless and can’t be bothered to put out any product. The items they do have are incredibly overpriced, and a good majority of the items are broken, dirty or badly damaged. The store is also extremely unsanitary and there is zero organization or order. Tags, trash and hangers everywhere! Awful.

The two drivers showed up and were very rude and disrespectful. Refused to take my good furniture because it was more than they wanted to carry. They complained the entire time while banging a dresser against the wall and dragging it across the wood floor. I asked them to use the dolly or floor covering and not to drag the dresser. Once it was out of the house I politely asked them to leave. I expect and deserve more. I am donating to help people and this is the treatment I get. Sadly, someone won’t benefit from these items. I truly expect more from the Salvation Army. Update - I wish I could give zero stars after the response Salvation Army just gave me. They did not offer a resolution which would be the right thing to do.

This is the most organized thrift store! The prices can be quite good as well. Their books are $1, and they have a wonderful variety of items. The staff was super friendly! Overall, a great experience!

Only leaving 4 stars because of the way they tag their clothes. I just recently came in and selection was awesome and they had MANY great brands, I even ended up finding lulu. I would have left without A LOT more but I had to put many pieces back because they staple the tags into the clothes and I knew I would be unable to take the tags off without leaving a hole in the clothes so just keep that in mind if you plan to shop here.

love the store. one of my favorite thrift stores in charlotte. the assistant manager is rude. he seems more interested about doing other things then hoping on the register real quick to get paying customers out. he sees that customers are in line but doesn’t do anything. with only one person on register. you should help where is needed as a manager 🤷♀️

Nice people but it would actually help if y'all had a valid phone number so people don't have to drive 25 miles just to see if you still have an item in furniture that I had looked at before.

This place smells absolutely disgusting. Its genuinely hard to breathe in there. I also had a situation several months ago with a chair that had a nice infestation living in it. Lesson learned, don’t buy upholstery from a thrift store and don’t support bigoted organizations!

I set up a donation pick up last Monday 3/13 to be picked up on Friday 3/17 someone even called to confirm. Fast Forward to Friday no-one showed up I called and spoke with someone and was told they were running behind and someone will be there between the hours of 12pm and 3pm no-one showed up. I called several times and it went straight to voice mail. I did leave a message someone called me on Saturday asking if they can schedule a pick a up for the items that were already scheduled for pick up. I immediately told no I don't want your services, You all are unprofessional and doesn't take in account of people time. I will not be donating to Salvation Army anymore, Fast forward to today someone calls me again saying do I want a receipt. A receipt for what?? Noone picked up anything, I took the items to Crisis.

Great selection of clothing. However a few pieces could have been spot cleaned better. Staff is nice. Prices a bit higher than I expected, but reasonable. I'll shop there again.

Placed a request online several days in advance for pick up of multiple items at my house. I left detailed instructions on the request. They did not take anything and did not call me even to let me know! I had placed everything outside and it was in decent condition. When calling I spoke to a super rude man, whose only response was that it was declined and that I needed to put things in boxes. After telling him it was in bags and boxes, he changed the reasoning to oh well you should have just done more. It was declined. Worst customer service. Worst organization. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Now i’m left with furniture and items that could have been taken by other better organizations - Goodwill and restore. (Also really didn’t appreciate being condescended to and talked down to bc i’m a woman. seems to be a part of this company’s mission - misogyny and hate).

A great thrift place. Typical with other thrift stores, at some day you might be lucky and get an excellent deal, and other days you may be unlucky. The place have clothings, books, electronics, furnitures, decorations, and others. The place is located quite strategically in Charlotte, and can easily accessed from anywhere in the city. Parking is not quite large and not quite good, but it should be enough. Place is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Came in looking for a nice bedroom set for a family member and sure enough we found it and it was a great price to top it off. The employees went above and beyond to help, I enjoy shopping at the Salvation Army store because the proceeds actually go to those who need it the most like struggling families and homeless people and recovering addicts ect. Way better then goodwill who donates nothing to our communities and just continues to build larger campuses to further their own wealth. Definitely give the Salvation Army a chance you never know you might be surprised.

Catching up on reviews. After driving by for years, I finally stopped by this store on Wednesday, 05-11-22. I'd only planned to look but then ended up finding some good vintage pieces. I'm a reseller. As fall is approaching, I'll be making some of these pieces available. Definitely going back when I clear some racks. Yellow tagged items were 50% off and a lot of items are 50% off on Saturdays.

I usually do not post reviews but want this to be a warning to anyone who is considering donating large items to the Salvation Army. I was informed due to Covid that volunteers doing pick up could not come in my home and donations must be outside. I live alone. I asked for an exception - they would not. Also, I was not informed after I had to initiate the call, what time they would arrive on the day of pick up. I spent nearly an hour moving large furniture by myself outside including a sofa, love seat and chaise. Only for them to arrive and deem my donation not acceptable or of quality to resale. First my intention in donating was to help those who are less fortunate have nice furniture and not spend an arm and a leg. My preference would’ve been to go to Crisis Assistance Ministries as they are not in the resale business but in the business of helping and giving away for free (since reasonably they received for free). The Salvation Army decided my furniture because of 2 small spots was not worthy of resale. And left my furniture outside without a knock on the door or discussion. I heavily dispute that my furniture is not worthy of resale one… my furniture was still very much in good condition and I’ve seen much worse in Salvation Army stores. The discoloration they mentioned was the original pattern of the furniture. It was always two toned and not one solid color. I doubt seriously also that the pick up drivers are expert in quality of furniture. But more than that it disturbs me that the Salvation Army is more concerned about bottom line than pricing accordingly and helping someone less fortunate. I’m also annoyed that because you couldn’t come in my house, you made me go through the trouble of moving the furniture alone only for it to be rejected. Ultimately I’m just calling junk removal… it is what it is. But it’s such a sad state we are in now. Even so called organizations built to help others and more concerned with bottom line and how much they can make they doing something good for someone less fortunate. Which was purely my intent from the start. The furniture in question is pictured. It was very expensive furniture. So must beware of who you deal with in these situations. Every org isn’t what they say they are…

Neat and clean for the most. Went to look for a stool for an outdoor under-the-tree project, but was very satisfied with the presentation. Check out some pictures below.

They have a large selection of women’s and kids’ clothing, and also sell men’s clothing, shoes, household goods, and furniture. Like a lot of thrift stores, clothes are categorized by color instead of size, which can be time-consuming. I do wish they’d sort jeans by size, because I can fit into a S, M, or L shirt sometimes but there’s less of a size range for pants. They have dressing rooms and bathrooms. They frequently have sale days; usually 50% off certain color tags. Tops average about $3.99 and jeans are around $6.99. Most clothing is in good condition- some minor stains, pilling, etc. Name brands are not priced higher than others. They do not offer returns, so make sure to inspect the items for any flaws and try them on. My only qualm is that they staple the price tags on, and they’re hard to take off carefully! I bought 9 items for $40, and was really happy with my finds! I got a pretty blue floral vintage dress for $4.99 and a pair of embroidered jeans for $3.50.

Always find great things here. Some days it's shopped out, but get there early if you are looking to score a great piece as they get snatched up pretty quickly. Also, check out thier weekly auction M-F at 930 back behind the main building. For real.. worth checking out :)

This is one of my mom's favorite consignment stores...so we go there frequently. Great location and prices...and they have specials often. Friendly staff. Nice variety/selection to choose from. Check it out 🙂.

Best Day To Shop- Wednesdays!!!! I love shopping here for baby Avi's cute clothes. The prices are half off for the yellow tag items. I think it includes the small household items too. We walked in today and seen the ad. See below. How cool.

I come here ALL the time! The staff is very conversational, and I've made friends with several of them. Also, the prices are the cheapest around! I've gone to several thrift stores in Charlotte, and Salvation remains the best!

The store is so clean and has wonderful sales people. The China pieces I purchased were in perfect condition. The clothing is clean no funky oders. The clothes were in very good condition. I was very pleased with my visit. Recommend this store to my friends. We are all retired. Love the savings.😀
