Very interesting selection of salvaged design & architectural items. Somewhat pricey but they're unusual pieces. Worth a stop if you're looking for unique accent/decorative pieces.
This place is amazing! Love old architectural finds? This is a treasure trove. Unique pieces of furniture and decor. Wonder doors, windows, and hardware.
One of the most astonishing places you’ll ever see in your lifetime, especially if you dig old stuff. They are only open to the public on weekend (otherwise you can make an appointment) and there’s SO much to see that you may as well bring a snack and plan on being there for the day. From 19th century French hand-carved wood storefronts to antique beach cruisers to early 20th century stained glass rotundas carefully taken from a stately bank or department store that’s now a parking lot to a pile of cast iron hinges, if you can’t find it at Schiller’s, it might not actually exist. The staff is as knowledgeable as you’d expect in this rare museum of the history of the world all available for purchase. And there’s always new reasons to stop in and check it out!
Unplanned Saturday visit while in the area looking for planters....amazing place with many fascinating items. Can't say enough about the nice people who work here. Incredibly helpful, no pressure. Definitely worth a stop and wander through. Thanks for the cold water!!!!
This place is a treasure chest. Even if you aren't in the market for something in particular, it's a treat to meander and look at the fabulous doors, chandeliers, bars, odds and ends that have made their way here. Not only did i find the exact style of antique door i wanted, but by a stroke of fate it was also the correct (very odd) dimensions. Around the corner I picked out matching knobs and up front they helped me sort through the skeleton keys that would fit my doors antique lock. I love it here, go find some treasure of your own too!
This place is amazing. We visit them every time we are in tampa and usually leave with a truck filled with goodies!! It is worth the visit! Call ahead even if google says that they are closed. The owner, Larry, will usually be there or come open for you.
This is one of my favorite places to shop for unique items. I have purchased bell tower shutters, slab of Marble from the Tampa Courthouse and many more items. You never know what you are.going to find.
If you like vintage architectural designs, building supplies, farmhouse you have to stop here. The owner has agreat eye for antiques, everything is organized and clean. He's very knowledgeable and great personality. Two thumbs up!
Definitely a fun and interesting place. All sorts of cool architectural bits and pieces if you have an older house you're building it is a definite must-see. One star off because some of the prices can be quite high but for other items they are quite reasonable.
This is one of the neatest places to visit! There all kinds of things beyond your imagination. If you happen to need massive castle-like doors, they got them. If you've been looking for an old Indian balcony, this is the place for you. Been wanting to put an operating room light in the ole man-cave, look no more...yes they have it. I will be honest this place isn't cheap, but if you got some green backs just laying around and you want to build something that no one else has in their home, I'm sure you can find it at Schiller's. If you are poor like me, this place is a cool afternoon adventure!
Lots of unique antique and historical items here. A treat to wander through. Plenty of salvaged lumber, doors, windows and antique architectural hardware for purchase!
Lots to see here. Prices IMO are high on reclamation wood etc. Smaller items vary in prices. A bit to pricey for me. Went home empty-handed and I rarely do that. They have a sign near the checkout counter that says" of course it's expensive it's old" enough said.
I can appreciate a nice historical vintage piece but the price tag.
If you need that one last item for your masterpiece collection, this is probably the place you can find it but it's going to cost you over a grand. They have those giant slabs of wood people make tables or benches out of and coat them in lacquer/acrylic...very nice. You can also find reclaimed wood, lamps, doors, locks, buckets, light up sign letters, movie theater seats, postal boxes, cabinets, etc.
Very hot in there and they are amazing enough to provide customers with bottled water!
Very unique and cool place. Every time I go back it seems as though they are getting things more organized and tidy. Which I appreciate because there's so much to see and sort through. Lots of hard wood planks of cross cut trees, old hard wood floors, hardware fixtures and even salvaged pieces from the historic Belleview Biltmore. Happy Pick'n.
This place is full of hidden treasures. A lot of good reclaimed lumber from local historical places and farmhouse. You never know what you’re going to find here plus great customer service.
I am in the process of building a new home and my wife found this place online. The place was exactly what we expected it to be, as far as the decor offered and the layout of everything. One thing I did like, that similar stores do not have, is they have everything labeled with prices well. Some places like this just expect you to go ask every time you find something you like! The only complaint that I would have is it is a bit pricey for some of the items there. However, some of the items there you can really find a good deal on. My wife and I will be going back for sure as we get closer to the completion of our home.
This location has something for almost every occasion. I've often been inspired for ideas I haven't even yet thought of when I went in to the store.
Prices are very reasonable & the variety is beyond compare for the West coast.
The staff is very helpful & knowledgeable always willing to lend advice on how to create something from various parts, & inform shoppers what is coming in soon.
I will & have recommended them to Designer's & friends, clients & anyone who has asked about them.
They often have special night events where they showcase new product & microbrewery or local catering companies to enhance the event.
