I had an extremely concerning and unprofessional experience with 813 Towing early this morning. At 3:39 a.m. 03/09/2026 they towed my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon using a two-wheel tow with a dolly, which is not an appropriate or safe towing method for this vehicle. The manufacturer clearly states in the owner’s manual that this model must be transported on a flatbed tow truck only due to the design of the transfer case and four-wheel-drive system. Towing it any other way can cause serious mechanical damage to the drivetrain and related systems. What is even more concerning is that after reviewing previous Google reviews, I discovered there was a prior complaint from another Jeep owner stating their Jeep had also been towed improperly. This indicates that the company has already been made aware of the correct towing requirements for Jeep vehicles, yet they continue to use improper towing methods. Shows a clear disregard for proper procedures and for the potential damage that can be caused to a customer’s vehicle. When I went to retrieve my vehicle, the lot where it had been taken was behind a locked chain gate without an address marker for 725 14th Street Wimauma with no clearly visible address posted indicating the location. There was no office, no attendant, and no security present at the lot. When I arrived, the individual from the company was already inside the gated area, but the entire situation felt extremely unprofessional and unsafe. The person I encountered was a man in an unmarked van, wearing no company uniform and displaying no identification of any kind. As a woman retrieving my vehicle, this raised immediate concerns about safety and legitimacy. He asked for my driver’s license and my vehicle registration and took photos of both using his cell phone to upload the information into their system. This created serious privacy and security concerns, as my personal identification and vehicle documentation were being photographed with no visible credentials representing the company. I am extremely concerned the individual now has photographs of my driver’s license and my vehicle registration stored on a cell phone. Even if those photos are later deleted, modern devices typically store images in backups or cloud storage. The company only accepts payment in cash or through Cash App, no other standard form of payment, which is highly unusual for a legitimate business and raises additional concerns about transparency and accountability. Thankfully I had the means to pay but sympathize with any individual who may not have immediate funds to release their vehicle using a credit card and then would be charged escalated pricing. Another important point for consumers to know is that this company is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau, which further adds to the concerns about the level of professionalism and oversight associated with their operations. From start to finish, this experience demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, safety protocols, transparency, and proper towing procedures. I strongly caution anyone against using this company. It is also extremely concerning that any HOA or property management association would contract with a towing company operating in this manner to enforce parking regulations. Because of the way my vehicle was improperly towed, I will now be taking my Jeep to the dealership for a full inspection to ensure that no mechanical damage occurred to the drivetrain or four-wheel-drive system. I have video from the yard I had to pick up my video but as to not violate that employees privacy, I refrained from posting it here.
Overall, the entire experience—from the improper towing method to the unsafe and unprofessional vehicle retrieval process—reflects very poor business practices and a lack of regard for both customer safety and personal property. Be careful with this company. The driver refused to accept my debit card on a Saturday, claiming a 'weekend policy' that contradicts their own website and signage. He forced me to pay cash and then claimed he had 'no change' for a $200 bill on a $190 charge, effectively trying to force a $10 tip. When I insisted on visiting the office to get my change, he suddenly found a way to refund me via Cash App. Predatory, dishonest, and possibly illegal practices. If they tow you, know your rights: they are required by Florida Statute 715.07 to accept cards.
horrible experience! I reversed parked into a visitor parking spot where I have been continuously parking like this for multiple days a week since August 2025. I look outside my friend’s window as I see my car getting towed. I had no idea I couldn’t reverse in since it’s a visitor spot and there is no reason why the back of my car has to be shown. Also, many other cars park like this since the time i’ve been coming here and nobody has ever had a problem until now. This is obviously a scam for young college students and an abuse of power.
I had to run all the way across the parking to stop this EVIL man. He said the only way I could get my car back was to pay $80 which I found so ridiculous since all he had to do was press the damn button to release it.
He only accepted cash or cash app which I found insanely sketchy. When I questioned the legitimacy of this transaction he replied with snarky and rude comments. Super unprofessional overall!
I handed him a 100 dollar bill, he said he had the change. My friend and I were just waiting around for about ten minutes, while he was doing god knows what.
Someone nearby asked him if he was leaving soon, since he was blocking the only exit to an entire apartment complex. He rudely replied no and the visitor also mentioned that she saw him hit my bumper.
After I already handed him the money, he randomly goes “So are you gonna give me my money or not?” I proceed to politely question him, as I thought I already gave him the money. He was very rude and predatory towards me. He said that he could “pull up the cameras” to prove it. Obviously I asked to see the cameras. He then says that the cameras are only for him and the cops. So he proceeds to “call the cops”.
Then his little tower friend came as his “backup”. Even though we are two young girls who he is triple the size of combined. His friend didn’t even greet us and it was honestly super scary since this occurred at about 11pm. The worker friend literally started mumbling under his breath and was walking around us in circles.
It was honestly such a waste of time so I ended up just giving him the money he was asking for. Horrible company, predatory workers, and overall just a huge scam!!!
Literally -10 stars. Customer service person was literally useless and HUNG UP on us trying to get information about this driver. Driver has taken 2 hours to come back after we told him the owner would be coming. It’s literally almost 1am and this driver it still driving on 275 to Land o Lakes when an ETA was less than an hour when we first called at 11pm.
My car was towed for being parked in reverse in a residential parking lot. I started calling the towing company at 6:00 AM to get my car back so I could make it to work. Despite calling multiple times throughout the morning, they refused to give me the location of my vehicle until 12:00 PM.
When I finally arrived, I was forced to pay $250 to retrieve my car. Because of their lack of communication and delays, I missed an entire day of work and lost income with no opportunity to recover it. Extremely frustrating experience and very unprofessional handling of the situation.
If 0 stars was an option I would have clicked that. This entire operation is a scam.

Predatory and sketchy. Towed my entire neighborhoods cars out of a spot where they are allowed to be with no signage saying otherwise bc of a deal with our HOA. This guy then lies about multiple things including increasing and decreasing pricing randomly and having an office. Our cars were in a random lot that he was a half hour late getting to then said he had to charge more bc our car was there longer when he was late. During Christmas time too, what a Scrooge don’t trust this clown unless you need something nefarious done. Then he’s exactly your guy
My car was towed even though it was parked in an approved spot per my apartment’s rules. I called ahead, arrived at 8 AM on a Thursday, and no one was at the office—despite this being normal business hours. I waited almost an hour before anyone showed up and still had to pay $350 for an unauthorized tow. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
There were no visible signs posted in the residential community where I was working indicating that parking on the street was prohibited. Within just minutes of parking, a tow truck had already hooked up my car. The homeowner I was providing services for even contacted me through her RING camera to inform me that my vehicle was being towed. The homeowner never received an email stating the change in the HOA, as this was never a rule before.

It’s extremely concerning that tow trucks appear to be waiting in residential areas to remove vehicles without warning, especially when there’s no posted signage to indicate any restriction.
To make matters worse, when retrieving my vehicle, I was charged an additional $40 “hold” fee on top of the $200 tow charge, despite my car only being there for a few hours. The company also refused to provide an itemized invoice unless I went online to obtain it myself, and they only accept cash or CashApp as payment — which is highly unprofessional and questionable for a legitimate business.
Overall, this company operates in a predatory and unethical manner, taking advantage of unsuspecting individuals without proper notice or transparency.
My car was towed from a channel district apt and the operator was vague and I felt super unsafe when I went to the 4407 address. I then was told I could only pay with cash or cash app which is insane and that’s only on the weekend. I was scared and sketched out and the whole place was dirty and scary. Seems like a scam or money laundering is happening.
This has been a harrowing experience, they give you a different pick up location and blame you for not getting the right address ,they quote an adittional 35 per day, a then when you call to pick up they give you a different location,you dont know if you are speaking to the same person,they do not tell you,all of them give you a different location,then.
Unsatisfactory experience with 813 Towing. My vehicle was towed from Andover Place at Cross Creek, where I’ve been a resident for more than nine years. Although the car was registered, it was still removed, and when I picked it up (within 12 hours) I was charged $255. The storage yard at 2100 Paul South Buchman Highway looked dilapidated and felt unsafe to me; I wouldn’t go there alone. When my wife and I asked for a receipt, we felt intimidated and were rushed off the property. It took almost two hours to obtain a receipt, and the company insisted on cash payment only. In my view they did not follow county or state towing rules. Be cautious if you have to deal with this company.
Being a board member in my community a lot of the homeowners frown upon me because i am Pro-Tow i guess you can say. But living in a community if you do not put some kind of standards then people just assume they can treat the property like there car lot or in house mechanic shop! Im sorry but 813 Towing is not the bad guy here i will accept that role of bad guy because im not losing property value because my community looks like a swap shop! Terrible! There's no management at the place of business, another business has to help you. My son just moved to an apartment place 2 months ago and didn't know there were multiple places to register your vehicle so he was towed. He tried telling the tow truck driver he was a tenant, even tried showing them his lease info but the driver didn't care. Said for him to contact them in the morning to get his car back. Apartment management claimed the company was nice and worked with people but that's a lie!!! One i had to go through hoops to even talk to a manager or someone who could help me. Second they said there was nothing they could do or would do because they don't change prices. It's been 10 hours and we are out over $225. Terrible business, don't care about people at all. Terrible business.
Had my car break down during morning commute and Kris was there within 30 min and had my car loaded in under 5 min. I had to ride with my car and the truck was clean. Kris was polite and professional. I would definitely recommend 813 Towing.
I had the most frustrating experience with this towing company, and I feel compelled to share it. First off, the phone operator was utterly useless. Every time I asked a basic question, all I got was that the manager would call me back. Seriously? Trying to waste time to up the charges much? You don’t even know where your own Zephyrhills office is located?
I called at 2PM, and guess what? They never called me back. Meanwhile, they have the audacity to charge $100 per day for not picking up your vehicle.
For anyone else in the same situation, I posted a photo showing the mostly hidden sign off 2100 Paul S Buchanan Highway Zephyrhills Fl. if your car is towed by this branch of the company. Just a heads up: you have to park by the gate and call them to come out and assist you. If they answer. This is extremely unprofessional, and I would advise others to stay away from this company.
Predatory. My mother in law parked her jeep for literally 5 minutes outside her garage, on the street to move some stuff around and they came and tried to tow it WHILE SHE WAS HOME. They also had the jeep hooked up in such a way that if they had driven away with it they would have damaged it. Jeeps have to be towed in a specific way. Lord knows they would not have taken accountability for damages. She had to pay $80 to take the Jeep off the truck… all for 5 minutes while they were pulling the jet ski out of their garage. Will remember NOT to use this place if I do ever need a tow. They must really need the money if they’re willing to be this awful.
I talked to Chris on the phone and really really helped me out! I went in person to pay for my car release and the guys really helped me out . Genuine good dudes. At the first the process over the phone was kind of crazy but everything worked out in the end. Make sure to talk to Chris if you are calling over the phone. Explain to them your situation and they’ll help you. I’m looking forward to buying a motorcycle from them for excellent service. Thanks!
This is a weird review, because 813 didn't end up towing my car (I was on the side of 1-75 with a blown tire) because AAA *finally* got someone to come change the tire and follow me until I could get air in the spare, but I just wanted to take a minute to say both Frank and Dylan were terrific with me on the phone, and were bending over backwards to get to me right away. On top of that, they didn't give me a hard time when I canceled the call. I hope never to have to call them again, of course, but if I do get in a jam, I will!
After being stranded in very bad spot, the driver picked up my truck quickly while helping to maintain both my and my wife’s safety. They worked with me when the shop I towed it to couldn’t provide what they stated on the phone and took me to a shop that could. I’ve worked with tow trucks before, the driver was courteous and respectful all while having a bird (Coco) on his shoulder! Thank y’all for saving my ass out there!
Had a horrible experience with one of their drivers. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN THE SITUATION. Trying to move my car out of someone else’s parking spot and the driver pulled his truck behind me so I couldn’t back up then threatened to tow my car with me inside. Finally when I was able to move, the driver said he was calling the cops on me. It’s a shame how a business and the owner can uphold negativity but can’t uphold any professionalism or have any common sense to not escalate a problem.further . If I could give -5 stars I would!!!!
Coby was great ! He came out in the point rain and was able to help get my car out of a giant puddle. It did not work out the first time because We could not get the car in neutral, but he came back in absolutely no time to finish it up. Really appreciate them, especially since we called several other towing companies and nobody was going to be able to make it for 3 to 4 hours and 813 in 30 minutes. Will definitely use them again.
Unlawfully removed my vehicle from private property and gave one too many excuses to justify tow. My vehicle was reversed into the parking spot, so they got out of the tow truck to run plates (on camera); a resident even told ya'll not to touch it and it was ignored; the Property Manager nor myself gave consent to tow. Said vehicle has been parked on private property (where it was removed) for a while without any issues. They offered a discount to Property Manager but then reverted back when I tried to confirm said discount. They have been blantly rude to Property Manager & myself. The person on the phone said end of day 7/6 6pm it'll $495, but it was already 5:30 pm, so when I asked about the next day; I was quoted $600. They violated Fla. Stat. § 715.07. There's no accountability for the unlawful tow. Each day, the price goes up, and rates are not posted online. So they can pretty much change whatever they please.
Pick up: Frank was helpful despite the situation & and the company did honor a discount, thanks to the Property Manager. So that was helpful!

At first I was bitter because my car had got towed, but it was parked where it shouldn’t have been. I did have to wait an hour after the appointment was made and rightfully I was even more furious standing in the hot sun… they called me and apologized and gave a discount. Little goes a far way.
I chose peace over anger. As much as you want to be mad at situations like this the fact they did call me to do the best they could was appreciated.
I called 813 towing because the control arm on my jeep broke. The service man arrived with a very welcoming and polite attitude. He also arrived quick within 30 minutes and was very knowledgeable. Thank you for providing great service from beginning to end!
Stuck in mud @ construction site. 1st tow comp. Came out, pulled me out I got stuck again & he bailed!! Dylan was awesome/amazing! Got me out and made sure I made it out b4 he left!! Gd 2 see there’s still some gd honest Americans out there!
staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful. made getting our car back extremely difficult and damaged part of it and when confronted about it the lot manager for the night screamed in my face and threatened me, had to call the cops and they said it wasn’t even a valid address. the address does not match their tow truck, and they parked cars to where you couldn’t get them out. horrible horrible people.
