I've been attending Alpha metal for about 5 or 6 years They are very nice and helpful prices are some of the best.I've seen I will highly recommend them.
UPDATE following owner response. I have no reason to lie about the situation I just simply want to inform other patrons of the incident. I have not and will not seek anything in return for the damage as I fully understand that the liability is signed away. The truck was loaded by me before coming to your yard and received no such damage before hand. I still received fast service, and worked with friendly employees. Five star service until I got home and realized that the forklift driver who unloaded me ran the lift mast into the side of my truck bed. They do make you sign a waiver, saying if they damage your vehicle during unload they are not liable. So let this review, be a warning to anyone who does choose to have them unload your vehicle. Going into the scrapyard, I do understand the liability and that’s it was signed away but they damaged the truck didn’t say anything and left me to find it for myself. That’s where the review comes from.
Alpha scrap is awesome!!! They have great prices great service. Honestly been going there a few months and the always have me laughing and in high spirits the pay is great the staff is awesome. Seriously check them out they are great people!!!!
I have been going to this scrapyard way before when it was Fedca, and I can say I like the new people at Alpha Scrap Metals much better. I did have some issues before at Alpha. But the boss who wears blue there, was real good about clearing up the misunderstanding that was happening. The staff became more of like friends to me. They will help educate you about the materials you bring in, to possibly get the high clean prices. I personally love how clean their steel / shred unloading area stays. I rarely get any screws or nails in my tires. I really do appreciate the service you guys give to the Tampa Bay Area
I've been using these guys from when they first bought this yard. Actually I've been using this yard close to 23 years. But these guys are friendly and always well organized and their payoff on scrap metal isn't too bad, at least you won't have anyone hounding you for a tip. Which is a huge plus in my book! Thank you to all the employees that work there, you guys and gals make every scrap day easy and efficiently!
First time selling trash appliance, the lady was super nice, she asked me ‘first time here?’ I said yes, after get my DL and told me what’s the next step. When I was super nervous about unloading the appliance might damage my car, the guy just pull out the appliance like a drawer didn’t damage my car at all. Go back to the scale again the lady told me to get ticket and cash in the back.
IDK if the price is fair or not but I had a great experience. Forgot to mention that had to wait 30 mins to an hour to get the service.
What’s the point of saying your open till 4:45?? I called ahead of time, drove here, there was a line going in, I turned around, and got the gate shut on me and turned away!!! Waste of my time!! It’s only 4:15!!!
This place does not appreciate their customers. DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCES FROM HERE. I bought a used washing machine for $65. The manager told me that if it doesn't work I can return it.Dryer did not work had to argue to get my money back. Then they band me
from going back because they ripped people off with bad machine. I will visit other scrap yards; no problems. Other scrap yards needs metal. They can go out of business. They don't need customers. DO NOT sell your metals here.
Be careful when you go here make sure they put everything you sold like aluminum,steel , copper and metal cause everything I sold was accounted for but the 2 transmissions we're not on my ticket nor was my money right ,I had to go back and tell them I was missing money from the 2 transmissions I sold them ..But it could have been a honest mistake lol hell no it wasn't ? Give me my Loot $ !!!!!
Great scrap yard! Employees are very helpful, competitive prices, and I was in and out in no time. I will be going back. So I've been back and everything went well. I did have a discrepancy with my ticket, but they straightened it out without much of a challenge.
Brought these people a 2011 Benz c class was a full car cats and everything, once I unloaded they told me it was 400 bucks when the cats alone on that car are a $1000.00 these people will steal your money if you don’t know the prices. Won’t ever bring you my business.
I called 10 minutes before arriving and they said as long as I made it in before 4:50 then they'd take my metal. I should have gone to a different place as they turned me away at 4:45. Waste of time. 1/5.
Really interesting place. Well organized and very friendly. Dropped off an old electric motor and got more money than I expected. Now I know what to do with all my old metal.
Clean and organized scrap yard. Called for a quote and was given a fair price for scrap metal. Attendants help unload items from vehicle and payment process is quick and efficient. They require customers to provide a valid ID and complete a fingerprint scan prior to completing a transaction.
Everyone there was super nice!! And as helpful as can be!! I had no issues getting my scrap unloaded and on my way!! I will be back with my next load!!
Easy to find. I brought a large amount of aluminum cans and someone was approaching my vehicle even before I finished parking. They brought what was needed (a large bin) and helped me unload into it. They then quickly weighed the bin and gave me my ticket and explained where to go next.
I was in and out in just a few minutes.
A great experience.
Scrap prices overall for aluminum copper wire clean copper clean brass are all paying higher than other scrap yards, I highly recommend them they are very nice people
