The gentleman's name was Jeremy and he was completely transparent when I was buying my Toyota Camry 2009 AS IS! I SAY TRANSPARENCY OVER HONESTY BECAUSE HE WAS COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT ABOUT THE GOOD AND THE BAD WHEN IT CAME TO PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. I STILL WENT THROUGH WITH THIS PURCHASE AND I HAVE NO REGRETS THANK YOU. 🥰

Today I worked with Joel and he helped me find the perfect fit!! He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, he was able to answer all my questions and was so quick with the process! I definitely recommend Tampa Bay Auto and working with Joel!!!

Worst place to buy used cars, and even worse if you're a woman. Five months ago, I bought a car from them. Days later, I notified them and sent photos to the finance department, and they told me to bring it in. I did, and they told me it was nothing and that the mechanics were trying to steal my money (unaware that they're the real thieves; they talk nicely just to make a sale, but deep down they don't care). They cleaned the oil, and I left, naive and trusting. But three months later, the car started leaking oil again. I took it to Midas, and they told me it was still leaking oil and only Toyota could fix it, and for that, I'd have to pay $3,500. Why should I start paying so much for a used car less than six months after buying it? I call the finance guy and he tells me that Toyota wants to rip me off and that he's not a mechanic.

I’m unbelievably disappointed in my experience here. My husband was interested in purchasing a vehicle for work, and he found a car he liked at Tampa Bay Auto. The reviews were confusing, no one really mentioned the cars unless they were messed up, but customers did say that they were willing to fix what was broken and offered warranties. We contacted them and got a call from Jeremy, who seemed to be on top of things at first. He sent videos of the car and told us we could come in Monday for an appointment to test drive. We got there, and the vehicle was ready but a tire was flat. Then things went downhill. Thirty seconds into our test drive, we were headed back to the dealership. Jeremy agreed that the sound was “concerning” and asked the mechanic to check it out. Three quick rides around the block later, they determine the car needs a new wheel bearing and an alignment. Jeremy says he’ll call us tomorrow in the morning to confirm the repairs are complete. We can tell he’s a bit frustrated, but otherwise we expect the car to be ready. We remind him that we’re taking Ubers from Spring Hill to make this deal happen. Next morning, we hear nothing. Turns out, Jeremy is off? At that point, I’m done, but in trying to support my husband, we wait for the car to be fixed. They said it would be yesterday, but now they say it will be ready this afternoon. We arrive at 2P, after the 1P promised for completion…turns out they never got the part. We spent over $200 and missed 2 days of work playing with people who don’t take their job seriously. The reviews are clearly inflated by friends and family, as they cannot reflect the reality of the customer experience. Why are you listing a car that isn’t road ready? Why is the salesman promising to call us on his day off? Why are they lying about completing a repair without even having the parts? All in all, we lost a lot of money when all we wanted to do was a buy a car. We were literally ready to sign and drive after testing the car, but they don’t even wash them, let alone inspect or fix them. Now both of us have to explain to our bosses why we missed 2 days of work and still don’t have a car, luckily we have 4 $50+ Uber rides as proof. Do not waste your valuable time here, there are hundreds of other small dealers in Tampa, many on Dale Mabry, Florida, Nebraska, and Hillsborough. Please be careful, they don’t care about you, your pockets, your money, or the cars they are selling. I mostly feel bad for my husband, as his managers offered him a promotion thinking he was getting a car and now he has to explain what happened here instead. All around, this is not a place the community should trust. Avoid at all costs, I promise this is not even a 4-Star dealer.

Tampa Bay Auto is a place to be!!!!! I recommend them to anyone looking for a nice used vehicle. They go above for their customers. Guys were really nice and price seemed good but tires were bald and didnt match brakes were soft Fixable things but they are so obvious if you want dealer fees and top dollar for the vehicle take pride in the product and present it with tires that match I dont know

I recently bought an E400 from this dealership and had an excellent experience. The price was great, and everything was exactly as advertised. The team was honest, helpful, and gave me good insight throughout the process. They also set me up with a solid warranty, and the car itself was clean, smooth, and in great condition. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a fair and trustworthy dealership.

Highly disappointed with them, Brought this jeep from there and was didnt even have for 2 months and I already have to put a brand new motor into it.. Ive tried reaching out to them and will not answer my calls and Ive had my mechanic reach out as well and wont answer his calls.. I would avoid this car dealership at all costs..

Found a used small SUV that I was interested at this dealer. They were up front with everything that may have been an issue with the car. We went through the entire Carfax and they allowed me to take it for a long test drive to ensure that it was operational and to my liking. Very friendly staff.

Bryan from Tampa Bay Auto was AMAZING. There was a car I was very interested in but explained to Bryan I'm in the process of buying a house so I can't move forward on the car until I close. Instead of turning me away, he had me put a small refundable deposit down to hold it for me. I got an inspection done as I'm out of state and had to coordinate that remotely. Bryan was super accommodating, super friendly and above all extremely patient. The car was great but for reasons beyond either one of our control, I unfortunately had to back out of the deal. The moment I told Bryan that, there was no pushback, no bitterness of having the car taken off the market for a few days for nothing, nothing but a friendly voice. If I lived in Tampa and not in Virginia, I'd go to Tampa Bay Auto to purchase cars from Bryan's attitude alone. Amazing service and can't speak highly enough about him. Thank you Bryan!

I cannot recommend Tampa bay auto enough. They made my first car buying experience so easy, unlike other dealerships I had gone to before them. They were not pushy at all and let me test drive the cars by myself and take my time with it. When I finally decided on the car I wanted, they worked with my short credit history and made sure I stayed under my wanted monthly payments. They even fixed little things on the car before I drove it off the lot (low tire and peeling wiper- replaced it). Had an amazing experience with them and love the new car

Joel was responsive and friendly, and sent over the Carfax quickly. I made the journey out 3 hours to test drive this Civic. I would've missed the building if it weren't for the sea of cars around it. A big dog named Oatmeal greets you at the door. I was pretty sure about the car already since it was the exact model I was after and drove all that way for, so I test drove the car right away, and I ran another Carfax with the VIN on the windshield. Some dealerships will try to give you the Carfax for a different car, so you can never be too careful. Everything matched up and throughout the whole process, they came off as genuine and transparent. When discussing my trade in value, the manager walked me through his thought process for the value and made a very fair offer. Joel was helpful with the financing and made the process clear and easy. Overall, it was worth the drive out to get the exact car I wanted!
