I didn't know honest mechanics still existed. Karen was so kind when I called to make an appointment due to my check engine light coming on accompanied by some intermittent shaking. She even took the time to walk me through checking my oil over the phone. Shane took his time trying to accurately pinpoint the issue before charging me for repairs, as they wanted to be absolutely certain of the problem before I spent any money. The prices were very fair and I was truly blown away by the customer service. These guys do not want to hit you over the head w costly repairs for no reason; they just want to make sure you're well taken care of. Will absolutely be back in the future.

Karen and the guys are fantastic! I was lucky to be near their shop when my car was overheating. Even though they were booked up she took the time to grab Jose (also fantastic!!) and help me get some coolant and make sure I was safe to get back home. It is a beautiful thing to be reminded that there are still great people out there.

Attention to detail is very apparent with every facet of this business. For some time they have cared for my family's vehicles and praise I get from all of them. I booked a call with them for my vehicle and the process was informative, up front and professional. I called and made a minor change to the list of things I would like for them to diagnose or check out, I immediately got a call back and confirmation that it was added to the ticket. Good Stuff!
Update, today was the day that we had scheduled my repair and it went completely flawless. Karen called me and discussed with me about a small issue that I had asked them to take a look at. She described what they found and gave me the additional cost. Of course, I asked them to make the repair. When arrived at 5 o’clock to pick up my vehicle the owner Shane, went out of his way to come up to me and explain exactly what he did and made me feel extremely comfortable about the work that was performed. I give this experience and Company an A+
I moved to Tampa last year and a neighbor recommended Terrace Auto Repair. I am so glad he did because I have had excellent service from the shop. Karen, the front desk person, is so pleasant. There was not a long wait for scheduling and they got the services completed quickly while I waited. Their prices seem fair and I feel I can count on them to help me keep my car in top condition without being charged for repairs I do not need.

They got us in same day we called about a battery problem. We plan to call the locksmith they recommended to help with a door locking problem. Been coming here for a while and always satisfied with their service. In addition, they could not be nicer! I am delighted to see that this business is growing.

On Feb28, 2024, I had an appointment to get some work done on my vehicle. I chose this place, as I had heard good things.
Well, they were as I heard. FANTASTIC customer service, reasonable costs, and knowledge of what else I needed.

Terrace Auto Repair is our first stop for our vehicle maintenance and repairs. If they can do the work you won’t find a better mechanic or front office team. They don’t have loss leader offers like dealerships do but over time you will be far ahead. If there is someone else that should do the work they happily provide a recommendation. We’ve taken our vehicles here for well over a decade and have never been disappointed.
I limped in due to a bad hub bearing on my truck. The guys were able to accurately diagnose the issue in the blink of an eye. This was around 1 in the afternoon on a Friday. They had all their bays full trying to get cars finished before the weekend. I left the truck with them expecting to pick it up on Monday due to my late walk-in. I was pleasantly delighted when they called at 5 to let me know they were able to squeeze me in. They even offered me a ride and picked me up from home to get my truck before they closed! Their customer service is unmatched, I’ve never had such a great experience with a mechanic before. I’ll be going to Terrace Auto Repair for all my future automotive service needs, I suggest you do so as well.
I can’t say enough good about Terrace auto. They are fair in their pricing, knowledgeable about their craft and trustworthy. They took the time to explain my options and the benifits/possible detriments of any work before they did it. I won’t get my truck worked on anywhere else.
Karen is awesome, went in there for a quick inspection and it was an easy task just because Karen made it easy.
No doubt the shop looks professional, haven’t had the chance to drop my vehicle for service but will do soon.

Terrace Auto is super great. They can always fit me in within the same week if not within a couple of days. Karen is super friendly and very good at explaining what is wrong with my car and what they are doing to fix it. The prices are reasonable as well!
This is the most honest auto repair shop I have ever found. They go above and beyond in customer service: Karen takes the time to explain all that the service techs will be doing and the owner actually test drives your car before returning it to you to ensure its working properly. They changed my engine and cabin filters at a fraction of the cost of the dealership, and at no extra cost fixed my low tire pressure issues that the dealer had not resolved.
Wish I could give six stars! Incredibly helpful & efficient service all around. For those with less knowledge about cars (me) they're also super helpful with understanding what they're doing and what needs to be done in a very nice & helpful way. Especially the lovely woman at the front desk, she patiently explained the adjustments with my car and was just altogether very helpful & kind. Absolutely would recommend!
We always use Terrace Auto for maintenance and repairs on both of our vehicles. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we never feel pressured into anything. I always get a phone call before they do anything to let me know the costs and any other services they recommend. We're always highly satisfied with the work done and have never had any issues after getting repairs or maintenance performed.

I had a Fiat 500 that needed some A/C work done due to blowing hot air and some minimal repairs. Brought the vehicle to this shop as it was relatively close to where I live. Although Karen is a nice person, the quote given to me, made my jaw drop. Karen quoted me $1750.00 for the following:
Oil Change, Labor for a window regulator replacement (I supplied the part), A new A/C Compressor, Condenser, Expansion Valve, plus labor to install and diagnostic fees.
I asked why in the world is this repair so expensive, Karen claimed she had difficulty finding the parts for a Fiat 500. Within 5 minutes of hanging up the phone with her, I found all quality parts online for literally less than 70% of the price she was charging me for each part.
I paid $305.55 for all A/C parts - and found a very friendly mechanic less than 6 miles down the street who said he would install all the parts for the A/C, an A/C Recharge and Freon for $401.20. I allowed Terrace Auto Repair to move forward with the window regulator labor, oil change and paid their diagnostics fee which cost $243.00. I saved approximately $800.00 by choosing another mechanic.
And perhaps the most troubling issue of all, was that after I picked my vehicle up from Terrace Auto Repair, my odometer would not stop flashing and none of my Bluetooth devices would connect to my car anymore (it was fine before taking it in). I asked the new mechanic to see if he could fix it or perhaps figure out what happened - to which he was unsuccessful. I called Terrace Auto Repair back and Karen stated, "Look at it like this - when your A/C went out you weren't expecting to fix that, and now your odometer is flashing you weren't expecting to have to fix that either" - What in the hell does that even mean?! After reading other people's reviews of how reasonable they are with their prices and what quality work they do - I legitimately thought I must be living in the Twilight Zone...Beware..
They are the best. The woman at the front desk treats me like kin; she is so friendly and helpful. They gave me a quote directly and stuck to it and they even gave me a ride home! They make me feel safe and calm about auto repair which is often a topic of anxiety and fear for me! They also were the only place around who would fill my bike tires.
I brought my car in for my GEICO inspection, they were friendly and got me in and right out.. I was due for a oil change and after shopping around and getting frustrated I remembered terrace auto. Not only did they beat all the quote's for an oil change on my vw passat, the service was fast and the staff is very friendly and very professional.. Go to terrace auto you won't go anywhere else..
I am so grateful to have found Terrace Auto Repair since moving to Tampa. I feel completely at ease when I take my car there. The staff is wonderful, honest, and do terrific work. Karen if fabulous. Helpful and knowledgeable, and always manages to fit me in even at a moments notice.

I brought my car here and my husbands for our Geico Insurance Inspections. When I called to see what information I needed to bring in for the inspection, Karen, could not have been sweeter or more helpful on the phone. I actually found myself hoping she would be there when I brought our cars in because she was that kind and warm. The inspections went quickly the two days I was there, and Karen of course was just as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. She gave me additional tips on following up with our insurance company to make sure they received everything they needed. Although, I only was at this location for an insurance inspection, I will absolutely be returning for future needs for our cars because of Karen. It was so refreshing being treated so well by someone in customer service and it was truly appreciated! We are fairly new to town and will be looking forward to doing business here in the future.
