What clients say about LKQ Pick Your Part - Tampa in Tampa (FL)
Best place in the area the staff are very helpful very nice an shows the upmost respect they have the most astonishing customer service you can ask for
Website doesn't work on my phone. Tried to call to look for the pert they do t do that you have to use the website or go in. Messaged my friend to look they don't have all the parts for the cars listed tried to call back to ask if that they just don't have it or the never sell those parts still can't tell they don't know anything about what goes on there cause they are a third party company that handle intake.
I recently came here to get parts for a car I’m selling that had some parts in rough condition. This was my first time visiting a pick and pull junkyard and I had a fantastic experience! The staff was super helpful, especially Julee, Daniel, and Roberto. They printed out all 6 or 7 of the options of what I was looking for and gave me a map to find them. It was quite organized and I was easily able to find the cars I was looking for. I was also surprised at how good condition a lot of the cars were in.
At one point, I realized I didn’t have the correct socket size to disconnect the steering wheel I ended up getting, but when I mentioned that to the staff they went above and beyond to help me get what I needed! I had to make multiple trips to try different things but they didn’t give up on me and made sure I got what I needed! The prices were also fantastic! I got all the items in the images (and other small things) for less than $40 (and were in almost new condition - especially after a quick clean). For reference, the center console lid was $80 cheapest online and the steering wheel was over $200. Fantastic experience and I had a lot of fun looking around at everything, can’t wait till I can go back!
Been coming here for many years.
You have excellent help finding your parts they'll print up the vehicles that will work for you and all other models also. They will give you a map and tell you where to go
I picked up the same parts from the multiple times before it’s always $20 but now they want to charge $65 for a $20 part that I have picked up multiple time crazy you don’t know the pricing they just thrown a number around
The guy at the desk was a great help! I was looking for a spare tire part on my car and he did a general search for the car instead of the specific spare tire kit. This will lead to all of the cars in the lot. Make sure to bring a hat because it is sunny. And a bottle of water to cool down. Bring some gloves to prevent cutting of your hands. You will pay a $3 admission fee but coming here saved me over $300 from the dealer. Also, you will get dirty so keep that in mind when choosing your outfit. For men, I recommend long jeans and a simple t-shirt. It will take time, but if you have the perseverance, you can find the part you need!
Sooooooo expensive!!! We had to stop coming here because this is ridiculous how expensive it is.
Triple what you pay at other places.
They have a sign up about having lowered their prices for NO REASON
Very bad experience. If I can give 0 stars I would. They are all unorganized. All the workers there are very rude and have no patience with their customers. They have a website that they obviously don’t have the brain cells to update because they are all incompetent.
Where do I start my car engine blew up I was very upset obviously I walked in to pyp aka lkq and walking through the doors I was greeted miss Monique with a smile and just like that I went from steaming mad to completely relaxed I had a lot of questions probably too many but every single question was answered I wasn't rushed out they really took there time with an amazing attitude and helped me get through all the parts I needed for my motor... I would also like to give a huge shout out to Julee she is the sales manager and by the time all my questions were answered these two professional women made me forget why I was so upset in the first place.. the way these women handled my whole situation was breath taking . If you own this place and happen to read this u not only should you give both of these young women a raise but you should make them the standard for new hires. I will definitely be back .. hands down best service I've ever had
First time going to any kind of junkyard/salvage yard. Saw multiple vehicles online with great photos. Went and paid my $3 admission, got help from the desk and a map of the rows I was looking for. Went and pulled the front bumper off a Ford ranger and and grabbed some relays. Steel bumper was $85 and three relays for $7. Can't beat it. Went home happy!
Couldn't even enter because they were thinking i was underage because i didn't have a license and i had to stand in the entrance of the site for half a hour till my father came back, didn't even had a single 1999-2001 dodge ram 3500 diesel that was the car parts my father was searching for, the worst junkyard i have ever been to, my father even said that most of the cars were almost only body panels and chassis, there was a miata NA near the entrance that almost didn't have anything, good that i atleast gave a star because google doesn't let me give O.
We went there to get a door for a car I have and everyone is absolutely amazing there!! They are so friendly and welcoming, everyone was so nice and helped every step of the way! Mr.Avi gave us a brand new saw that he didn’t need which was soooo sweet of him! I have a cut finger so everyone was nice enough to help move the door and get it into the truck!! Definitely will be back there!!
"Pick Your Wallet" charges $9 for a horn not a horn assembly. I pulled a horn assembly which had two separate horns welded to a bracket with wires soldered internally. To disassemble the bracket would have ruined both horns. They charged me for two horns, $20+. I felt taken advantage of because what I needed was 1 part, not 1/2 of a part.
My biggest issue with LKQ is there automative system.
There inventory list of parts is scarce, and if you can't find you're part, you can't check if it's still available.
You can't call the location to check what's been taken from the vehicle either.
Also they have raised the prices big time, and tax on the smallest things now.
Radio (working or not) used to start at 24$
Now it's 58$ for all non screen radio, and anything with a screen it goes to 100 bucks( not tested)
Biggest issue I've found going to LKQ is how much they price gouge parts, you cannot get gas tanks because of how they stand them up.
Can't have any saws, or grinders for whatever reason(probably fire or insurance reasons)
It's ridiculous, i wish I was back in Orlando with Upull and pay, they actually give a rats butt.
Oh! And you can call them, to ask what part is still available (isn't that nice)
I'm not driving 30 min out of my way, just to be told a truck was gutted.
I'm not paying you guys to go pull my part, ND get a 35% P/O on top of my original price.
Employees 10/10
Business direction 2/10
Customer for over a decade, and now just buy rockauto parts because LKQ pricing is literally just 25% off the original price of a new part.
Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm surprised by the number of bad reviews. This was my first experience visiting a salvage yard. A pleasant woman with curly blonde hair greeted me, showed me where all the cars like mine were located, explained all the rules and details, suggested prices, and was very polite. When I was leaving, the staff at the checkout was also quite friendly and courteous. I purchased the part I needed and was satisfied. For me, it was more of an attraction; my wife and I went there together and ended up buying a grille. They charge $3 per person for entry, which I thought was reasonable. I'm giving it 4 stars because I felt the prices for used parts were very high and there was no room for negotiation. When I mentioned that used parts cost more than new ones, they told me it was up to me to decide whether to buy or not. They also suggested that if I declined the additional warranty, the parts would be cheaper.
Poor customer service!!! Really upsetting my husband went there they gave him 15 min to remove the part he did it in less than 10 min he got to the register with 13 min to 5pm and the lady screamed across the room to him with an attitude saying to him she wasn't going to ring him up and he would have to go back the following day. Even after he told her we live an hour & 1/2 away her response was "Oh well & that it was against company policy"! We won't waste our time going to this location again. This isn't the 1st bad experience there! And it's always the same straight blonde haired lady that gives us trouble! She is very rude & shouldn't be working with customers! She should be fired! I've seen her treat others poorly as well! We know alot of people & this is not a good look for Lkq Tampa!! No apology, No sympathy, No compassion, & Poor customer service skills... She deserves 0 stars from me!!
Make sure you bring your own tools because they charges a ridiculous price to take off items. Also I purchased a rear mirror cap and the charge me for 2. “ I only purchase one also for the 90 day guarantee my receipt will show 2 as well. I will be reaching out to BBB and posting this on major platforms to inform consumers. The staff are unpleasant as well. I feel rip off that I’m a female. I will be sending secret shoppers there for investigation. Something will be done you don’t rip off customers. It’s not about the money it’s the principle. This establishment is a scam. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Mr.Avi thank you for informing me with your private companies protocol and policies with 501c3 NPO tax exemptions.
I will recommend a position to act as a leader instead of a manager. Just because you don't like repeat yourself doesn't give you the RIGHT to raise your voice! Propose have different ways of learning and receiving information. Your in the position to LEAD! Your actions and professionalism can and should need improved! Supervisors and General Managers please use your resources to make sure all managers have the correct skillsets to assist customers, especially 501c3 non profit organizations.
Needed a driver's side mirror for a Scion XB. Called around and $65 seemed to be the average price. Called LKQ and was quoted $22 and the operator kindly checked the current inventory and there were three Scion XBs on the lot. $3 entrance fee and a little bit of work with some sockets and a screw driver and with tax the total cost was $26 even! Just plain a great operation all the way around! Thank you LQK for what you do and thank you to the friendly staff at the Tampa location!
I was a little intimidated at first as this was my first time visiting a salvage yard. The people at the front were super helpful. Just remember to bring your own tools and be prepared to get dirty. If you can manage those two things, you will save big! Snagged a radiator fan for 21 bucks plus a 5 dollar core charge.
Im from tampa and Lived in this area as a kid when it was Copher Brothers. i see they have done a better job at getting the bad employee's out of there and replacing with good quality people. myself i pulled a complete AC system from a older 90s f150 all for only $148 and have a receipt to prove it to you. thats the whole entire system. dealer wanted $2000 for this whole job. i pulled it in 2 hours and installed in 3 hours at home filled with two cans of 134a. now i have freezing cold ac for summer!!! i did the same thing exactly 15 years ago at same place in 2002 with a 80s chevy cavalier. dont be afraid to pull ac parts. just see if system is filled or have air pressure. if green oil comes out its more then likely good. prices are ok but Its a fair priced junkyard compared to new or dealer.
