My first time picking up here. Getting here wasn’t as bad as the reviews said. Like others said get off on exit 7, go down 92 for 5 miles, turn left on 22nd street (a little tight turn just use all the space you can) turn left on E Mcberry before the light, go down and follow the directions on their sign. Backing into the dock was easy. Took about 15 mins at most to load.
To get to facility was not as bad as many described, Pay attention.
Arrived at 715a. After trailer inspection, I received a dock by 730a.
Young lady at check in was very nice as well as the dock workers. Gave very good instructions. Follow rules posted.
Truckers need to understand...If You show no patience and attitude, You get attitude and no patience. PERIOD!!

Friendly staff 5 star!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️but the road N-22nd has a no truck sign. I called the office and they explained that N-22nd was the only way to get to them. And police usually don’t bother with us truck drivers.
Great location, wonderful people that load and unload fast. If heading west on Hillsborough then you shouldn’t have an issue getting in. If you are heading East, then head down to 40th and make a right, then make another right on Osborne. Make sure you have a good trailer that isn’t missing any rivets.
Asked multiple times, both broker and the shipper, is this clean dry or as usual wet and stinky. Of course the lied. do not load at this location unless you want to spend a day cleaning up your trailer after the load.
Reading the reviews had me sweating you'd expect this to be the worst place in the world... I've been to a lot of recycling places this is by far the smoothest thankfully. I've been to Nashville boise.. big cities little cities. Dumps of dumps... This place was smooth professionally operated and everyone was friendly and yes... It's in a residential area... Can be intimidating but it's like Reno's dump lol... Not a bad place you'll be okay here drivers.. lots of room to back...
Normally pretty quick, I’ve never had an issue with checking in or out, and Anna and alec at the front is always helpful. There’s a few spots u can park out on the side the street if you come after hours which I think is a Plus and there’s a plaza nxt door.
If you drive any time you want you can go there nasty place ever check in 11:00 am / check out 18:45 . Blindside parking only and garbage anywhere no spaces to setup. ?♂️?♂️?♂️?♂️?♂️
Directions: From I4, take exit 7, 92W/Hillsborough Ave. Go about 5 miles to 22nd St (traffic light, Popeyes on left), turn left. Ignore No Trucks sign. Go to second side street, turn left on McBerry (no sign, just before traffic light. If you turn right, you're on Shadowlawn. Don't turn right.) Go to end, park on right, walk to guard shack to check in.
They don’t know what they are doing ..especially the office staff who want act like the yard worker.. the guard is just dumb .. she is so stuck up and prideful to point that she will start insulting you….on top of that their trips pays less $1.10 per mile for near 45,000 lbs of trash … not worth it at all minus .. I rather deadhead then to take them again …
I’m giving it 3 stars because I haven’t been inside yet it may change but you pull up to stop sign or whatever truck(s) behind stop sign walk up to scale house to check in im waiting on an open dock to be able to offload atm so far 30 mins and it looks like shift change because all kinds of employees just got in their cars and left but haven’t seen any replacements yet so idk no issues checking customer service is fine not rude at all very pleasant will update when I leave
Just don’t come here. You will waste your time. The guard is not professional. You will wait hours and hours to be loaded. Avoid this place if you can. Good luck.
As truck driver that was the worst receiver I went to on my 12 years of trucking.. from checking to unload time...I made it at their facility at 1100 o'clock and still waiting to get unload at 0448 pm imagine what's going on...from checking at the gate clerk was really rude and put you down as you at school to unload department just chilling out and don't Care about you.....stay away from Westrock Tampa truck driver
There is no lot for overnight parking. Very tight turn onto street it is at the end of the street . You park on the right side in line and walk up to guard Shack to check in . They call you when it's your turn . The staff is very nice here . Great experience..just tight ..when you get loaded you exit and turn left ..straighten out your truck and straight back all the way back to the exit scale next to guard Shack to check out and get your paperwork.
First ever review. Not very good, it's super tight everywhere and took almost 6hours from check in. The lady at the scale was hot & called me Papi so 2 stars.
No need to check into the guard shack. Drop your empty any place there's an opening. Hook onto your trailer, slide your tan and tie you want them shut the door lock it and go on down the road. They do have a scale but for axle weights only
Westrock in Tampa is located in an area that was not designed for Semi Trucks. From Hillsbourgh Ave you turn onto 22nd st which has a no truck sign and you can barely make the turn with traffic. They are on Mcberry st. Which is narrow and you have to park in the sand on the side of road and wait in line. The major issue I have with the place is they stop loading at 100pm. Nobody does that. They certainly don't care about the Drivers and their company losing money sitting their for 16 hours waiting to pick up a load of trash.
Very nice employees....pull to side of road..at the deadend...don't block driveways...walk to guard shack check in..they will give further details..have your safety vest on...and pickup number..don't slide tandems until you weigh in...there is overnight allowed on the side of the road and their scales are certified so slide your tandems in place after loading and weigh out..
Take US 92 to north 22nd st. (Intersection at Popeyes) and then turn on Mcberry st. It’s at the dead end. They stop loading early but it’s room for a few trucks to park on the street.
Very friendly staff. When we arrived the directions were posted and they are clear and precise of what you need to do to check in. We liked the notification device that lets us know when to pull in to get our trailer checked to be loaded. We did not have to wait long at all to be called in or to be loaded. Continue the great work. Your impeccable customer service goes a long way and means a lot to us drivers
Delivering a load is very hard on a semi drivers clock.. I must be honest with you I'm not please going there I've been there twice and each time there's been seven to eight to 12 trucks ahead of me and I only hope that they are paying the drivers detention because if they're not shame shame on them... Unloading cardboard boxes is extremely timely from the tractor trailers and getting in from the scale to the yard it's such a long wait if there's any improvement that can be made please by all means...
Must turn past the no truck entry sign on 22nd to get to McBerry. Westrock is aware of the problem but will not put a sign up on 22nd Street showing West Rock truck entry or making a driver's aware by communicating this information. Leaving drivers to drive around in circles until they have to pull over and call. Operator from facility said she gets many many calls daily.
The people were very nice. The yard is a typical scrap/recycle yard. The fork lift drivers will swarm all around you at full speed while you're trying to maneuver. Just keep an eye out for them. Loaded me fast once I got in.
Worst place to pick up a load...they give the wrong info to my company. The dispatch told me I can go from 7am -4 pm and when I get the guard Jody says they load until 1:30 pm also they streets sucks , hard to make turns in / out. I will avoid coming back to this nasty place !
